I genuinely didn't even know that kind of line score was possible until it popped up when I hit the button. I mean, yeah it's theoretically possible, but what are the odds?

So, in summary: two come from behind walk-off victories, one against the top-ranked team and the other probably the greatest comeback in WBC history, plus for good measure two upsets against a couple top 10 teams. I don't think we'll be topping that MD anytime soon in terms of pure insanity.

edit: Out of curiosity, I did a quick scan of the group stage and found 5 instances where a team scored 9+ runs in a single inning. A quick calculation thus suggests that your chances of scoring that many runs in a single half-inning are ~0.038% (or 1 in 2,600). The only comparable final inning comeback I was able to find in this tournament was Maklohi Vai's 7-run 9th inning comeback against St. Saratoga on MD20. Given how unlikely scoring that many runs in a single inning is, it's absolutely mind-boggling to me that it could happen in the final frame of a winner-take-all playoff game.

I'm drawing that comparison again. Mainly because it actually works. And really well. Because it is almost identical. Which is surprising.

But in any case, this is going to be a tough match tonight. I just want to wish you luck Super-Llamaland. I think we are both going to need it.
