So, the first column is obviously the number rank. It's just the list organized 1-<number of nations>. Next is the names, and then your actual numerical ranking, which is used to order the list of course, and will be the base "skill" for every nation in the scorinator for next WBC. This is all you really need to know as a regular participant, as this is all that affects you.

The next 6 columns are the Wins-Total Games numbers for the past 3 editions. This is used to calculate ranking. I don't remember the exact formula the WBC uses, but it's probably a variation of Wins/TG. The three numbers after are simply (Wins/TG)×(Multiplier) which is different based on the edition (obviously you want the most recent edition to count more than the one 2 times ago). These 3 numbers added together is what gives you the number listed next to your name.

As a new nation, you've only been in one edition, and thus you only have one number. Once you participate in multiple editions, you'll build up a rank more and more, and obviously, playing and winning more games will make sure that your rank gets better as you continue to participate (and will help you win more in future editions).

If you have any questions, feel free to ask :)

Ladies and gents, I must admit, i came in here for a practice run for the World Bowl, but I've fallen in love with the Classic; in fact, it's helped me to appreciate the real game as well. It's been fantastic. I'll see you all on the next one.

So glad that after the poor performance in the WBC because of my A-Levels, I'm still number 4 in the ranks.

Now I can really RP hard (hopefully) when the next WBC comes around and look for a second win (or just stopping a 5 time winner)

Here is the updated HOF spreadsheet. Super-Llamaland has now passed Milchama on the all-time list and is now the fourth best team, according to the HOF points. No one is up for vote this time around for the Hall of Fame.

Baseinator 1.1 is now available (pre-compiled version, source code).

There are 2 major changes with this version. Firstly, a new constant has been added that allows the number of innings in a regulation game to be changed. This allows Baseinator to support both softball and Little League rules. The other change is the addition of a file called Baseinator.bat which should automatically start Baseinator on Windows if Java is installed on your computer. I've also included the constants file that I will be using for World Softball Classic 3 (renamed to constants_softball.txt) so that anybody who wishes to use Baseinator to scorinate softball games with linescores may do so without needing to create their own constants file (all you have to do is name the softball file constants.txt and rename your baseball one to something else).

Baseinator may also be able, in its current form, to support other sports besides baseball and softball by modifying the constants file but I'm not familiar enough with their rules or what scoring looks like in those sports to make any guarantees in that regard.
