Dear WBC council members,

Once again, it is time for council membership voting! The nations of -Anthor-, Newmanistan, Southern Democratic States, and The Serbian Empire are all eligible to be admitted into the WBC council. Please vote in each one of these categories and be sure to distinguish which votes are for which candidate. Your options are to vote FOR each candidate's admission to the council, AGAINST their admission to the council, or to ABSTAIN from voting.

-Anthor-
1. For
2. Against
3. Abstain

The Serbian Empire

3. Abstain

Thank you for voting on council eligibility, and please stay with us to also vote on Hall of Fame entries. This is very important, since it is the first time that the council has ever voted on Hall of Fame candidates, so please help us set a good precedent here on the first vote ever. Now, I do not wish to sway your vote by saying this, but I would like to remind you to keep in mind that all nations that are admitted to the Hall of Fame are in the Hall of Fame forever, so do not vote for a nation that you do not believe is deserving of being in the Hall of Fame forever. I would also like to recommend that if you do not know much about a candidate that is being voted on, then please vote to abstain from voting on that nation's admission, because we would rather that you did not just blindly vote for or against a candidate. For help in making your decision to vote for or against a candidate, here are links to the WBC history archive and the Hall of Fame spreadsheet.

The following nations are eligible for the Hall of Fame, listed alphabetically: Darmen, Gregoryisgodistan, Lycrabon, Maklohi Vai, Nova Anglicana, Saugeais, and Tocrowkia. Gregoryisgodistan, Maklohi Vai, and Nova Anglicana are required to abstain from voting for themselves, but they may vote regarding all of the other nations listed above. Your voting options are to vote FOR the nation's admission into the Hall of Fame, AGAINST the nation's admission into the Hall of Fame, or ABSTAIN from voting, which you are recommended to do if you are unsure.

Darmen
1. For
2. Against
3. Abstain

Gregoryisgodistan

Lycrabon

Saugeais

3. Abstain

Tocrowkia

Please vote in all of the elections for both the council and the Hall of Fame. Voting will close 72 hours from now, at 5:00 p.m. Eastern Time on Saturday, January 21, 2017. I am sorry that there are so many voting categories (the reason is because it is the first year for the Hall of Fame). Please send all responses back to Sandberg. Thank you for voting!

Not many people knew Tocrowkia here, but I just want to say it would very disappointing if this nation was not included in the Hall of Fame. They were a great player for many classics, consistently RPing, and passionate about the competition. They did not win the championships because of being in the place at the wrong time, frequently running into me or Cassadaigua, often in a semifinal, which kept them from making more finals appearances. They were the tough luck nation of the early "generation", much like I think Nova Anglicana may be right now. OOCly, Tocrowkia was a productive member of the Council, often chiming in with their opinions. I don't have a vote (yet), and won't really get into other nations unless prompted. But we need to get Tocrowkia in.

I would agree. It is actually kind of surprising that they didn't get twenty points to automatically get in. I guess because they never hosted. I liked Tocrowkia's wittiness in a lot of their RPs that I read when I was making the history thread. It was also funny when they lost in the semifinals and then threw the third place game out of dismay, which caused quite a stir. I can appreciate such wittiness, even though forfeiting has since become illegal.

Technically, its been longer for the past few years because the soccer World Cup is taking longer and longer to complete a full cycle.

Wow, want to know something really strange? I just found out that apparently Qazox announced his retirement from NSSports on March 29, 2014... two days before my nation was founded. It is as if I am him reincarnated. :D Of course, I didn't start doing the WBC for a while after that and this is the only event I participate in, but that is still kind of creepy.

I guess. From what I can tell, he was kind of too full of himself and thought he deserved to run the show all along since he basically started the tournament. He deserves a lot of credit for starting it and saving the tournament, but I think he kind o just made an ass out of himself because every time someone would give him shit, he'd go back to the "I saved this tournament" bullshit. I would like to say that I have more championships in six seasons than Qazox had in the eternity that he was a part of the WBC. :P I don't think I've ever said this before, but if I hadn't won WBC 33, I probably never would have come back, since I was just giving NSSports a shot, but I am glad that I won and came back. Maybe the WBC wouldn't be the same without me. Certainly a lot more people would have gotten a shot at the title. ;) Maybe The Great Pond would have won. :P
