Just a heads up, I will have finals starting the day after group play finishes, and then after they finish I will be on vacation with limited internet until the end of the tournament. This means that RPs during the elimination rounds will be sparse, unfortunately.

I will probably be on vacation toward the end of the finals, so in the unlikely event I make it that far (with either nation), I'll have a few RP drafts saved that have nothing to do with the actual results. Even if I don't have access to a Wi-Fi connection, I can use my cell phone to log in and post a draft that I've already written in advance.

Somehow, my puppet ended up being drawn with the ponies. My roster for this nation will probably be up sometime tonight.

Oh, boy. Cassadaigua, I have no idea what compelled you to choose WBC6 for this matchday, but that was...uh...very much the right choice, in light of a hilarious IRC conversation last night. Total coincidence, but a few of you (hi, Karditan) will see what I mean when I get around to RPing this today. :D

In the future (assuming I can't always tie in random IRC jokes to past WBC events), is there anything people want me to write about, as someone who was there in some way or another in these old tournaments? Like, I'm not sure whether random summaries of my own team's RPs would be appreciated, or whether people who actually care would just go look them up anyway. If you have any ideas, TG me. :) I just don't want to go off on "oh back in my day" tangents because those are often boring and stupid. Except when they're not. I just don't know where to draw the line.

Well I thought it was just a random thing but maybe it was something subconscious telling me to pick that one. I look forward to reading about it then! :p

I would like to remind people that when roleplaying, please check and see if your opponent has already roleplayed the game, so that the accounts of the game match. I am very attentive to this kind of thing as a host and reading the RP's. I'm not gonna single anyone out, but there have been a couple examples of unmatching game accounts thus far.

Thank you. :p

Nice 18 inning game, Lycrabon and Slembana.

There is a 4-way tie for first in group 1, and the highest ranked team is lurking in 5th! Expect a close race for group 1 qualification.

So Beldonia's 5-2, ranked 76th, and they have RP'd only once not counting their roster. I think I have room in me for a Margaret-cursing RP. :p

Good ol' Margaret is making her presence felt with some teams, surely. But overall, I think the results so far are fine. :)
It does seem to be a wide-open Classic right now.

It does indeed, and I'm not really complaining, just the natural anti-Margaret grumble.

For the record, in this case the cutoff was missed and Allinlia's RP will be counted towards MD9.
