I hate saying this but I decline joining the council. Thank you to all councilors who voted yes for me. However though my time for NS has decreased due to real life issues. In my opinion a councilor should be able to have the time and the commitment to be a member. Which I'll be lacking for the next few months.

So thanks again to all the councilors who voted me in and congrats to Bergnovinaia, Civil Citizenry, Carasatoga, Sakurakoku, and Qazox for making the council. Hopefully after WBC 20 concludes I'll have the time to play an active role in the council.

I never thought I would be voted in due to an incident in another sport but in a polite and reasonable manner I would ask members of the council to TG me the reasons they didn't vote for me to see if there is anything I can rectify.
There's a breathless hush in the Close to-night

Was it where you told me to grow up?

I got raked through the coals when I asked EWCC voters to explain why they voted to re-open host bids for the Cup of Harmony. Based on that precedent, I see no reason why anyone who voted against you should be expected to TG you why they did not vote for you.

Well congrats to all other new Council Members, I think we should wait to see if anyone else backs out to put up "the Council."

Thank you to those who have given me advice. For the record I do not believe at the present time I ought to be on the council as baseball is not a sport I am particularly familiar with and my team is remarkably average, coupled with the fact I have never hosted a tournament this makes me an unlikely council member. I will continue to RP the sport however and hopefully have more of an impact.
Addressing Sarzonia's point, yes that is the incident. In the cold light of day I am more than willing to accept I acted in a childish manner, though I maintain his attitude was unhelpful towards a new RPer, the fault was however largely mine. I do not believe that holding a long term grudge, as seems to be the case, is helpful or constructive. I am sure that all of us made mistakes early in our RPing "career" and I hope to be able to move on from mine as time goes by.
All I was asking for was constructive feedback to a fellow member of the NS sporting community as to how to improve my standing and understand why I was not seen as a "fit and proper person" for the council and I thank those who provided it.

I wouldn't put too much weight on that, as some later posts have suggested. This Council is historically slow to admit new members.

You have a lot of nerve to talk about my "attitude" when it was your outright refusal to adhere to my request to change your RP and your "attitude" in telling me to "grow up" when you have no right to do so. And then, on top of it, to continue the attack on me when I refused to allow you to sign up for the NS Arena Bowl.

So yes, it will be a very long time before I am willing to let bygones be bygones.

I'm not going to debate this - I behaved in an innapropriate manner. I see no reason to continue going over old ground on how you behaved - I think it is best to agree to disagree, it isn't going to change anything, it was my first sports RP on here, I didn't fully understand the conventions on here and coupled with losing my job I was very easy to wind up at the time and I shouldn't have behaved the way I did. Since this is no doubt going to go nowhere I am going to leave it at that - this is after all an entirely different sport and the incident was 6 months or so ago which is a fair amount of time in NS sport and has no bearing on how I intend to act and RP in future.

Question: Do the impeachment guidelines still apply in the case of Qazox's readmission to the WBC Council?

Namely here: "Section 4: In the event that two third of votes cast are in favour of removal from office, the Council member shall be removed from the Council with immediate effect for a period of two World Baseball Classics. At the end of the two World Baseball Classic period, the member may petition to rejoin the Council and initiate a plan to address any concerns outlined in the impeachment proceedings."

If they do, he did not initiate a plan to address concerns outlined in the impeachment proceedings. After all, with the motion and support from other members, he was formally impeached, even though he resigned before a removal vote could take place.

Therefore, if the guidelines do apply, he is ineligible to rejoin the council.

Answer: No. Section 4 does not apply, because no removal vote was ever taken. Qazox resigned. He was not removed.

TBI is correct, Qazox, like Dick Nixon, resigned before any impeachment vote was taken. Therefore his eligibilty to the Council was always legal and I feel that the Council gave him a fair amount of time away from the Council.

While I will not debate whether he should be on or not in a moral sense - a quorum of Council members voted Qazox back onto the Council.

I believe it was noticed. There, however, has not been an updated Council list (to my knowledge) to correct.

The App works in tandem with the website quite well. TBI - does the iPhone app let you track Putouts and Assists? On the droid, you can only show who made the out. So a groundball to SS with the out at 1B shows a Putout by the SS on the website - it should be an Assist for the SS and a Putout for the 1B.

Also, the DH subbing system is really screwy and I have yet to figure out how to effectively make it work (the DH is based in the app as a Sub of the pitcher, take the pitcher out, the DH is thrown to the bottom of the lineup with the new pitcher).

The one issue with RP-ing this is for those nations who will BOTH use it. Who gets to determine whose GameChanger is used if we link the teams in the NationStates league?
