ViZion wrote:Well, I donno about IMPOSSIBLE... I've got an idea that might make it fairly easy, and that being that anyone actively RPing is allowing to submit their best player (along with their stats) into a MVP voting pool, to which everyone can vote on their choice for the Group Phase MVP, while the winner of the Championship Series can pick the Championship Series MVP. Thoughts on that? Those that have been inactive throughout the Group Phase... well, they probably don't have an MVP on their team. *shrugs* lol

We did something in the World Bowl a couple back like you mention. The fact is people, as a whole, aren't paying enough attention to your RP's to make educated votes. On the World Bowl all-star teams, people were selected that hardly even played. It's better just to give your opinion like I have done with my all-World Baseball Classic teams I think prior to WBC 11, 14, and 18 if I recall.

Yes it will!

That brings up a question for me... does my RP deal cumulate and built up, or do you have to RP the game before to have it effect the following game? (For example, if I don't RP tomorrow, is that the only RP that will effect the following game? Or will my other previous RP's still give me a larger chance of winning?)

RP-bonus is cumulative from start to finish. I'm a believer in that approach.

Well congrats ViZion on making the Round of 16. I'm kind of disappointed though I didn't get to role play the playoffs due to vacation. Which really hurt me.

Anyway good luck to everyone in the playoffs.

Well still. :p haha. Predicitions shouldn't really be based on RPing because I lost one of the games, even though I RPed, and this last game was super close.

I have the best luck in this tournament. WBC 18, first appearance, reached the round of 16, lost to Tarrentum. WBC 19, second appearance, reached the playoff round, lost to Newmanistan. I really want to be successful in the WBC, but I'm having a bit of a rough time :P.

Too bad I wasn't able to RP as consistently as I would have liked. Next time around, I'll certainly be more active. 'Grats to Newmanistan and all other advancers; double 'grats to Newmanistan on hosting a wonderful Classic.

Aw, shucks. Haha. I put together a nice RP, and the scorinator isn't on my side so I get blown out 3-12. Oh well... it was another good run.

Congrats to everyone in the quarter finals, especially Sakurakoku for downing the previous champions.

Also, congrats to Newministan for hosting a great tournament!

The 1st Annual Tarrentian Underdog Award goes to Sakurakoku

This award will be given to a WBC Playoff Team that exemplifies the perseverence and esprit d'corps the first Tarrentian National Team (WBC 15) showed in reaching the playoffs as an Unranked Team in their first international competition.

The award will only be rewarded to a Playoff Team.

The criteria is simply to be an "underdog" and is entirely based on the government-driven whims of the Tarrentian Sports Committee.

Congratulations to Sakurakoku for winning this, soon-to-be, prestigious award.

Congratulations to Sakurakoku.

I definitely didn't deserve to win since I just didn't have any inspiration to RP more than occasionally in this World Baseball Classic. Between all the other competitions and all the time I spend at work since I got promoted earlier this month, I just didn't have the inclination to devote what little time I had to this tournament.
