If you could ease up on the "rare" occurrences in your RPing, that would be great. There's nothing that says you can't but it is nice to keep rare things, well, rare. Turning a 6-4 scoreline into a no-hitter for your team falls into "godmod other events" for its unrealism, in my opinion.

While personally I agree, in RL stuff like that has happened.

Senior year in HS, my HS baseball team was no-hit, and won 5-3. 3 errors, 2 wild pitches, 3 hit-batters and 8 walks will do that.

Barnettsville, while we admire your creativity and your RPing, please attempt to limit the no-nos, perfect games, 4-hr games, etc to once a tourney next time thanks.

...I know that coming from me, the person who has one player on my team that has both hit four home runs in one game, and batted for the cycle this may seem like the pot calling the kettle black, but I agree here.

You did those Johnny Stryker accomplishments with scores where it wasn't stretching anything, so while rare achievements, it wasn't unrealisitic.
GIving up four runs and calling it a no-hitter seems like a pre-determined RP given that this pitcher threw a perfect game in the previous start that was forced to work with the score. (with an opponent that has said no to godmod other events with some exceptions, but not covering this) Again, Barnettsville, I'm doing this to try and advise you a little bit. Crazy results are also best against non-RPing nations, also.

Qazox, that's a high school game. This is a world-class competition. :p

I think it's a combination of godmodding scoring events which turns into one godmodding other event. I'm not gonna call him out (as in not scoring his RP) on violating my RP permissions box because it is borderline I guess if he did plus he is new and an asset to this community. Be careful Barnettsville, because when one player calls out another for violating their RP permissions box, the host may very well not give you any RP bonus for your post if they agree. I'm not going to do that, but it can be done.

Still, on the losing end this is pretty much impossible to roleplay, and I agree with your other post that its pretty obvious case of forcing a desired result of the game that was made up in his mind before he saw the actual score. I have enjoyed reading your RP's Barnettsville, and we're all saying this to help you out. Uncommon accomplishments are only fun when they are uncommon, in the future you don't want people simply rolling their eyes over things your players do in the future.

I have now RP'd the game and did not have my team go hitless. It's just too crazy for me.

I was hoping the no-hitter thing was a misprint.

The only reason I've even done (what I consider) wacky shit by having Dancougar's position players pitch was the fact that his permissions box specified that was OK. I don't think I'd even post one of my pitchers throwing a no-hitter unless the score was something like 9-0 against a non-RPing newbie. And then, if I have one of my players hit for the cycle, it'd probably be Kate Schmidt doing the honours.

If what you propose happens in a match is realistic, I'll likely accept it if it follows the permissions box. If it's not, there's a problem. This happened in the IBC 3 thread last year when a guy posted that one of his players scored 50 points in a loss against Sarzonia. I damn near called him out on that one.

I guess it's possible to have a no-hitter where the team being no-hit scores a shitload of runs. But it's so unlikely that it's going to be questioned. Be more careful in the future.

Didn't see that coming. :o Poor Gruen :(

A wayward gamma ray must have spiraled down from deep space and flipped one of the bits in Sec's RAM, thus turning your 2-0 loss into a 4-2 victory. Or something.

Or maybe with the bases loaded, a line drive ricocheted off the shortstop's head, deflected off the left-fielder's glove, off the center-fielder's shoe, then was sucked into a vacuum leading to the bleachers in right field for the grand slam.

Just kidding, that's for you to RP.

So in the past 10 days I have:
- had two unsuccessful interviews (fuck you, employers)
- had two letters of rejection (fuck you, Kansas)
- managed to turn "mildly awkward but liveable" situation with a close friend into an "if we ever have eye contact ever again our heads will both explode" situation (fuck you, British sexual niceties)
- cut my hand opening a damn yogurt (fuck you, Muller Corner - Banana with Choco Flakes)

And losing that game is still the worst thing that has happened to me. :(

Khalil Dennis: Second cousin of Delaclava football (soccer) manager Nolan Wright, third cousin of Delaclava baseball manager Doc Pepper. Assistant coach and pitching coach for Delaclava team in WBC and every regional competition. As assistant manager for Delaclava, Delaclava has won every major baseball competition within the region. A former player himself, Khalil Dennis still holds the Delaclava national team record in wins, strikeouts, ERA, complete games, and shutouts for a career.

Would you be interested in a joint RP where I have my baseball personnel interview him?

And the position's still open!
