They could be opened in the last week of August, or on September 1st. This would get us playing in October, and playoff time. I'm keeping an eye on the World Bowl Discussion thread too. Looks like they might want to start around (drumroll, please...) the beginning of the NFL season. With a better feel for when that begins, I'll try to situate this to run friendly with that, and not overlap. Seems like this timeframe would also not conflict with World Cup 79.

I am happy to announce that following an extended break, Lycrabon is returning to the WBC. I'm happy to already see a couple familiar faces, and look forward to reminding the rivalry with Newmanistan, among others. If memory serves, I won't be council-eligible until post-42 or43. Hopefully my new job won't screw with participating too badly.

Welcome back, Lycrabon. I read a lot about you when I was compiling the WBC history archive, which can be found here. It is good to have a former champion back. Wait, so assuming that all of the former champions that participated in WBC 40 participate in WBC 41, as well as Lycrabon, that would mean we would have 10 returning champions participating. Geez.

Who needs "Vault 41" when you have World Baseball Classic 41 in a couple days.

Maybe some of the tensions that are about to take place in the NS World are over disagreements on who the first five-time champion will be, and if it will happen in WBC 41? Thus solving the real riddle as to why that forum is called "Vault 41".

While we're talking about returns, I might as well say that I couldn't keep myself from coming back here. The GasCorp nation is mine... Not really another nation, but something that ties into the storyline I'm writing with the World Bowl. Hopefully that storyline is more developed by the time this starts.

Yeah, we do. Don't feel like you have to bother with posting, if IRL is just too bad or frustrating or busy to focus on stuff like this. Summer was pretty bad for me, but leaving for about a month helped on and off of NS.
