Artin Gonelee scored a late equalizer to give the Earent national team a draw against debutant Filopines, after Stephen Cayley scored the first goal of the game. "It was a great match," said manager Visin Thaykel, dismissing concerns that calling up players irregularly would distract from their club form. "The clubs have decided they want to get involved in other things, and that's well and good for them," he declared, "but I think we've seen there's an appetite for international football here. But all credit to [Jason] Dayley and the rest of the defense, they were keyed up for this one." Shenlake Parkins described the game as a "struggle" but noted that Filopines "had a lot of potential, I'll be keeping an eye on them."

I can't take credit for all the ideas here--some of them are other people's but they've let me run with them.

Bears Armed 1-1 The Babbage Islands

As this result was a draw, and following the same rules for such trophies that Dancougar used to use for such contests, The Babbage Islands -- as the team who were playing 'away' on this occasion -- are the first team to win this trophy.
(Under those same rules, for future reference, any future draw on 'neutral' soil would leave the trophy with whichever of our two nations' teams already held it at that time.)

My thanks to Wight for scorinating this match.

I extend my thanks to Wight as well and ratify the suggestion of my esteemed adversary on all points concerning the future of the Golden Honeycomb.

Next outing (absent a WC draw that pairs us) at Ijak-Nash Stadium in Paris, post-qual of WC 60? Or do you want a more frequent match schedule?

Okay.

Are we only counting "main team" matches, or any U21 games that also occur between us (in a Di Bradini cup, for example) also involve this trophy?

I think full senior international matches. So yes to the WC cycle or the Olympics but no to the DBC. (In fairness, I don't remember the last time I entered the DBC.)
