1 Submarine 10 6 2 2 22 16 +6 14 1.375
2 Lunar XC 10 6 1 3 29 24 +5 13 1.208
3 Forest 10 3 5 2 23 21 +2 11 1.095

4 Castle 10 3 4 3 21 20 +1 10 1.050
5 Emperors 10 2 2 6 23 28 −5 6 0.821
6 Polo 10 2 2 6 10 19 −9 6 0.526

Submarine managed to become champions of the Southern division after a scrappy 0-0 draw with Forest. Fortunately for them Emperors managed to beat Lunar XC to stop them from over taking Submarine. Forest's last day draw saw fine hair splitting averted as Castle won. If forest had lost the table would see Lunar champions and Castle in third place. The play-off division fixtures will see Submarine, Lunar and Forest go through. Castle just missed out while Emperors will be disappointed as they are usually one of the finest teams. To be honest Forest and Submarine were pretty unexpected with their qualification to the next round.

4 Locomotive 10 3 3 4 24 25 −1 9 0.960
5 SC Lake 10 3 3 4 22 23 −1 9 0.957
6 Victorians 10 2 3 5 20 27 −7 7 0.741

The Northern league sees Palm take the victory. Fashions last day victory wasn't enough to knock Palm off top spot, but Fashion can still claim second. Dukes meanwhile occupy the third place spot. Locomotive and Dukes went into the last day on the same amount of points, but Locomotive were unfortunate and lost to bottom placed Victorians. If Dukes had won it wouldn't have made much difference to the table. Only the Locomotive game made a difference. At the bottom Victorians will be disappointed. Meanwhile SC Lake finished on nine after a draw with Dukes. If they had won ad all the other results were the same they could have made it through, but they didn't.

NCHL Current standings
Eastern Conference (W-L-OTL)
1. St. Louis 37-29-4
2. Florington 37-29-3
3. Lyon 33-25-10
4. Glasgow 32-25-10
5. Cambridge 29-25-16
6. St. David 26-25-19
7. Marseille 25-20-21
8. Lambert 23-25-22

9. Montreal 20-39-11
10.Versailles 16-40-14

The East has always been a fairly strong division, and the standings reflect that. Florington has climbed its way up to 2nd after starting the season off mainly around 6th to 8th place. This shows hope in a team that has always seemed to make playoffs, but hasn't won a Grey Cup in over 50 years.

Potential Grey Cup Contenders: St. Louis, Florington, Lyon, Glasgow, St. David

Western Conference (W-L-OTL)
1. Orleans 37-29-5
2. Dresden 33-25-10
3. Les Anges 32-25-9
4. Dover 29-25-16
5. New Boston 26-25-18
6. Les Plaines 24-20-21
7. Bismarck 22-20-19
8. Aachen 22-20-18

9. Barrington 19-40-11
10. Wien 15-45-10

The Western Conference has lately been a very weak division, due to the dominance of Orleans, Dresden, Les Anges and Dover. Combined, these cities have historically represented the Western Conference in the Grey Cup Championship more than half of the time. Aachen has shocked the NCHL world by barely squeaking into the playoffs despite being an expansion team.

Potential Grey Cup contenders: Orleans, Dresden, Les Anges, Dover, New Boston

Playoffs matchups will up soon.

Top scorers (Winner will win the John Washington trophy for top scorer)

1. Will Robinson (Florington) 76 points
2. Jacques Leblond (Dover) 69 points
3. James Williamson (Lyon) 65 points
4. Hans Mueller (Dresden) 64 points
5. Pierre Tropeau (St. David) 62 points
6. Taylor Jackson (St. Louis) 60 points
7. Henri Lebeau (Orleans) 58 points
8. Otto von Bismarck (Les Anges) 55 points
9. Tom MacDonald (Glasgow) 52 points
10. Sean McGovern (Cambridge) 49 points

More East Anteater dominance? Another weird team on top of the Open Division standings? Another title for our...uh, some people's favorite team? Yes!

In the obligatory "they were how bad last season?" roundup: The Superstars were eleventh. Having been third the previous season, granted. I'm not sure how the computers remember this stuff...oh, this is Plutoni. Don't underrate the computers. Right.

Anyway, it took four games, but they eventually capitulated to the Combatants while the Giants (actually a legit returning playoff time) only needed four games to beat the Soarers (prev. 10). The final had lots of unnecessary drama. I guess this maybe happens because it's the Combatants and their games are low-scoring anyway, does that make overtime more likely or something? I don't know. Anyway, the Combatants won. Go them, and happy June. Now if only we had a basketball league.

I RP my hockey leagues over here on this thread, but I was curious if there was any interest whatsoever in resurrecting the Champions Hockey League or trying one more competition? I am never confident I can generate much interest in Ice Hockey on this forum because of the demographics, but I will continue to try..

Similarly, if any nations wish to send players into the Cotdelapomais Hockey League, please feel free to TG me.

I'd definitely be up for some sort of team competition, if there was interest!

Due to the smaller base of RP'ing nations, how many would we need in order to get something like this to be worth it? 4? 8?

Probably 8 would be good to have a real competitive competition.

MVP: C#07 Garrett Dahlstrom, with six goals, three assists, two SO goals.

This is not exactly a series that nobody has seen before; Copenhagen and St. Theodore are easily and consistantly the two best teams in the league. As it was, St. Theodore seems to have wanted it more, as they came through more in clutch situations. That said, Maarkus Stahlburg played well for Copenhagen, helping to drive them forward and keep them in the competition the same way Dahlstrom did for the Saints.

Congratulations to the St. Theodore Saints, the 2010-2011 AHL National Champions!
Commiserations to our runners-up, the Copenhagen Crimson. They, and our champions will be permitted to go on to the Champions' League, should the tournament be held.
The other representative team will be selected from among the other playoff teams in a single-elimination tournament to be held shortly.

A round-robin was played, with the two Conference finalists who did not advance to the overall finals getting a BYE for the round-robin round. At the end of the round, the following teams were admitted into the playoff for the privelage of playing in the Champion's Cup:

#1 Inneville Capitals (Conference Finalist)
#2 Koenigshalloe Kings (Conference Finalist)
#3 Danielson Coalmen
#4 Daalfuurge Gears
#5 Skarrsboro Cataphracts
#6 Meuse Blue Wings
#7 Zagreb Wolfpack
#8 Thomasburg Penguins

So first round matchups are...

#1 Inneville Capitals vs. #8 Thomasburg Penguins

#2 Koenigshalloe Kings vs. #7 Zagreb Wolfpack
Result: Kings 3-2 Wolfpack

#3 Danielson Coalmen vs. #6 Meuse Blue Wings
Result: Coalmen 1-3 Blue Wings

#4 Daalfuurge Gears vs. #5 Skarrsboro Cataphracts

#2 Koenigshalloe Kings vs. #6 Meuse Blue Wings
Result: Kings 1-3 Blue Wings

The new CHL season brought some changes, as the league nixed the four division format and went to a straight 20 team table, with all the teams playing each other four times. The defending champion Osprey had a lousy season, finishing 12th and just outside the playoff race. Montréal Cotdelapomais ran away with the regular season championship, losing just 14 times during the regular season and scoring a tremendous 234 goals. They were led by eventual Sacre-Cœur Award winner Julien Champagne, who has finally come fully into his own, scoring 55 goals and leading the league. The other story of the season was Hamilton Tigers, who also had a coming of age in their team, with Jean-Luc Barr scoring 38 goals and assisting on 44 more.

That's sort of up to Oli/Septentrionia. I can handle it if he doesn't want to.

It's back!

With the blessing of Septentrionia, here is the return of the Champions Hockey League, the world club championship of ice hockey. Although there will be coëfficients in the future, I have reset them for this tournament- all nations will be on an even playing field. All champions will enter the tournament with the same rating, all 2nd placed teams with the same rating and so forth. For the first tournament all nations will be allowed to enter four (4) clubs, although in the future that number will likely go down.

Please post all entrants into the Hockey Champions League by Sunday, 14 August at Noon EDT.

If you have an arena you'd wish to host the final, please TG it to my puppet Princess Beatrice Isle.

Here are a list of the clubs I have entered thusfar.

So...

2. East Anteaters
3. Southeast Giants
4. Let us go with...Southern Superstars as regular season Open Division champions. Yeah.

THE ROAD TO THE DANIEL CUP

THE CUP

The Cup was bought by Charles Daniel and donated it to the league. Daniel was the founder of the Compolis Cats and the Port Kostas Mates to form the CHL. The most huble part was he did it out of love for hockey. The cup it's self is 25 lbs (11.33 kg).

Mytanar Hokkyeĭnaya Liga.

The Hockey season has come and gone, it is all over now and it has certainly been very interesting. This season, we saw action, hard-hits, great goals and some great play all aroud. Thessia Pistons were the top-flight regular season champions, but did that form translate through to the play-offs? Two sides also had to be relegated too, who were they? It had been a very interesting season, here is the final league table.

Hokkyeĭnaya Liga Pld W D L GF GA GD Pts
1 Thessia Pistons 45 24 10 11 107 84 +23 82 Regular Season Champions, Play-Offs, Champions Hockey League.
2 Esca Foxes 45 23 11 11 71 57 +14 80 Play-Offs, Champions Hockey League.
3 Ebor Snowstorm 45 22 13 10 93 75 +18 79 Play-Offs, Champions Hockey League.
4 Arsika Hammers 45 21 12 12 60 39 +21 75 Play-Offs, Champions Hockey League.

5 Ebor Penguins 45 20 11 14 102 102 0 71
6 Decraa Blue Bulls 45 20 9 16 87 89 −2 69
7 Providence Gothams 45 19 11 15 116 100 +16 68
8 Trunca Force 45 15 13 17 28 33 −5 58
9 Cote-Ast Aces 45 16 9 20 71 75 −4 57
10 Potsdam Raptors 45 15 11 19 77 83 −6 56
11 Stratenberg Sonics 45 13 14 18 75 82 −7 53
12 Port Jarko Generals 45 14 10 21 91 104 −13 52
13 Port Jarko Silverfins 45 14 9 22 46 58 −12 51
14 Ibon Blacksticks 45 13 10 22 38 48 −10 49
15 Forvik Lions 45 12 11 22 107 120 −13 47 Relegated
16 Argyres Myrmidons 45 13 8 24 63 83 −20 47 Relegated

Play-Offs

Game One
Thessia Pistons 2-3 Arsika Hammers (Arsika Hammers lead series 1-0)
Esca Foxes 1-0 Ebor Snowstorm (Esca Foxes lead series 1-0)

Game Two
Arsika Hammers 0-1 Thessia Pistons (tied series 1-1)
Ebor Snowstorm 5-3 Esca Foxes (tied series 1-1)

Game Three
Thessia Pistons 1-3 Arsika Hammers (Arsika Hammers win series 2-1)
Esca Foxes 6-7 Ebor Snowstorm (Ebor Snowstorm win series 2-1)

Torsky Cup Game One
Arsika Hammers 1-2 Ebor Snowstorm (Ebor Snowstorm lead series 1-0)

Torsky Cup Game Two
Ebor Snowstorm 0-1 Arsika Hammers (tied series 1-1)

Torsky Cup Game Three
Arsika Hammers 0-1 Ebor Snowstorm (Ebor Snowstorm lead series 2-1)

Torsky Cup Game Four
Ebor Snowstorm 3-1 Arsika Hammers (Ebor Snowstorm win Torsky Cup 3-1!)

Ebor Snowstorm are the Torsky Cup winners for this season, beating the Arsika Hammers over the series 3-1. The Thessia Pistons, who won the regular season championship could not continue this form through to the play-offs, and went out to the Arsika Hammers. The Esca Foxes went out, but they will just be proud of their efforts to get to the play-offs. The Forvik Lions and Argyres Myrmidons have both been relegated down to the 2.Liga and they will be hoping for an instant return to the top-flight, although they have clearly underperformed this season and so both deserve to be relegated down to the lower level and will now lose the revenue from this top-flight, and will also lose their 2.Liga affiliate.

2.Liga Pld W D L GF GA GD Pts

8 Zenit Toranj Bluecollars 45 17 11 17 103 101 +2 62
9 ICNM Thessia-Cotdelapomais 45 17 11 17 98 102 −4 62
10 Titishan Devils 45 16 13 16 53 55 −2 61
11 Carrickfinn Dragons 45 17 7 21 51 53 −2 58
12 Miago Whitecaps 45 13 15 17 88 91 −3 54
13 Kitzbuhel Snowmen 45 13 11 21 34 55 −21 50
14 Parr Flyers 45 9 11 25 29 56 −27 38
15 Arklow Angels 45 7 16 22 38 64 −26 37
16 Staining Pinkskates 45 9 6 30 23 57 −34 33

Dzinkgrad Mavericks and Cassia Oilers will both compete in the top-flight next season, as they both got promoted after some great play in their season. The Mavericks win the 2.Liga title though, as they edged it towards the end of the season - winning games which the Oilers didn't win. The Ouverjavaa Rangers narrowly miss out on promotion, and the Pinkskates will be hoping for a better season next year - as they finished bottom of the whole Mytanar Ice Hockey system, 16th in the 2.Liga.
