Finley Cup Winner: Paris Untamed Ducks

Dale Hunter Trophy Winner: Garrett Shaw (Paris Untamed Ducks)

The first Finley Cup Final was pretty boring and uneven, the Untamed Ducks dominated the Québec Nordiques who were the cinderella's team. The Nordiques have a low skill but they did good in regular season and in the playoffs they beat Vancouver and Los Angeles, two of the best teams in Miley World, thanks to their russian goalie Nikita Zaripov who was outstanding. The Untamed Ducks (also one of the top team) didn't do well in the regular season but they did really good in the playoffs, beating Manila, Chicago and Québec. Thanks to their terrific 1st line: William Haley, Garrett Shaw and Cédric Mercier. Garrett Shaw, the #10 of the Untamed Ducks, won the Dale Hunter, which is given to the best player in the playoffs. And by the way the Finley Cup is named after Lord Finley who is Miley's grandfather on her mom side.

Mulder Cup Winner (AHL): Warsaw North Stars

The 1st Mulder Cup required 7 games, and Warsaw North Stars (Berlin North Stars' farm team) beat Miami Feathers (Nashville Preds' farm team).

Underwood Cup Winner (SWHL): Québec Avalanche

Québec Avalanche is the 1st winner of the Underwood Cup which is given to the Smiler Women Hockey League champion (in real life, the winner of the CWHL-Canadian Woman Hockey League wins the Clarckson cup, but in Miley World its the Underwood Cup cuz Carrie Underwood is coolest than Kelly Clarckson).

A strong showing in an all-C group propelled the Combatants to the semifinals, where they lost out to another C team, namely the Cotdelapomais, who became the Champions. Cool!

So, did a victory on home ice spark a new era of passion in Plutonian hockey? In a word, no. Things are stressful around here, with runtime errors and/or people running around the space-time continuum causing trouble. Tempers are high inside the national team offices, and nobody knows what lies ahead.

But how about the domestic league.

The biggest result...possibly ever in the league. Right here.

Lookit. Lookit. That's a 2 next to the East Anteaters. As in not a 1. As in they did not win the Super 6. This is awesome, and Team Tortoise are now pretty much every Super Six fan's favorite team despite some of us not being sure who or what they are (none of them have ever been called up to the national team, it's possibly this is just an experiment gone horribly wrong, but at this point? Who cares.)

Er, they were all in the top half last time, that's probably nice. (Monks made the playoffs last time out, for comparison. Always need one of these roundups, we do.)

The Combatants won their only playoff game 2-0; the Cougars won all of their semifinal games 1-0. The Pinnacles and Demons went back and forth, requiring plenty of overtime and beyond, and the Pinnacles eventually won.

The Cougars would win the first two games of the final, both 1-0 on the road, but struggle at home as well, dropping a game three shootout and then losing the next two in regulation. In game six, the Pinnacles finally found some home-ice advantage, winning 5-4.

Hey all. With the departure of Cotdelapoms, there's no one to run the Champions Hockey League. I've definitely got the time to take over duties, unless there is someone else out there who is really interested in picking it up. I will say I'm not entirely sure what system was used for the rankings, so that can be discussed in general. Please voice your thoughts if you want to host or you're okay with this or whatever.

I've talked to some people on #nssport irc channel, they said they wouldn't support me taking over. However, I am definately interested.

I guess I'll be taking over the Champions Hockey League now, so, the cutoff for entrants to the next editition of the CHL is set for Midnight (Central US), Sunday, January 15th.

If anyone has a problem with me taking over the CHL, please contact me via TG, to see if we can work things out.

I will hopefully have new rankings up soon, by the weekend probably.

Top Four teams from each division qualify for playoffs. This year the four division were divided along Cold (blue and green) and hot (black and Yellow) lines to create two conference playoffs with the champions of each conference facing of in the final. The conference alignments will rotate on 3 year cycles.

World Cup Ends, Champions League Teams Chosen

With the World Cup coming to a close and the Ice Bisons soon to return to Gyatso-kai, it is worth noting that the Champion League of Hockey is coming around. Our players will have time to rest before returning to our great nation before venturing out to the legendary nation of Darmen, and we can guarantee that the Champions League is not for the faint of heart.

Given the 2011.4 season ended so long ago, the AHL Chairman has decided that rather than having a playoff series between the teams of the AHL to determine which four shall be given the honours of playing in the Champions League, he will be sending the four top teams from the 2011.4 Season to Darmen to represent the great Republics.

The top four teams advancing to the Champions League are:

Season 2 Results

The Cam.H.L or Camwood Hockey League is as virbant as ever. It's grown so much that an AAA Class has been installed. As of the Cam.H.L Season 2, eams will play a sextruple round robin, with a six team play off tournament. Thw winner gets the Daniel Cup, named after George Daniel, a hockey philanthropist.

The 9th Champions Hockey League

Despite being over ten hours late, the interns at the Darmeni Ice Hockey Federation did allow the entrants from Civil Citizenry to compete. This however infuriated their superiors, as it messed up their perfect format for a 30 team competion, and meant that a Perliminary Round would have to be played. But the early stages of the competition went off without a hitch.

Champions Hockey League 10

The Deadline for entries into the 10th Champions Hockey League is set for: Midnight(Central US), Sunday, February 19th. All single association leagues may enter four teams, while multi-associational leagues may enter six teams, with no more than four from a single association and at least one from each association involved.

The Champions Hockey League is seaking sponsorship from an international corporation. Bids for sponsorship must include, a short overview of the company, and a logo. (I will not make a logo for you!) In addition, the CHL is seeking bids from other nations to host the finals. Bids must include Stadium/Arena Name, Capacity, Location, and a short overview of the stadium. Deadline for these bids is Midnight, Saturday, February 18th.
