As with any 'new' nation, Antarctistan will start with no ranking. This is mainly because they have not played any games as a nation. Whilst I believe both nations are controlled by the same person, this means nothing. Lurikastan are a different nation. Only Lurikastan can hold Lurikastan's ranking. Each nation has a rank, not the person controlling that nation.

A tad early to be thinking about the next League tournament seeing as the current Union one has only just got underway perhaps, but oh well.

Anyway, we'll be in of course and also be looking to host it.

I see no reason why your new nation should get your old nations rankings just because it's the same person behind it. The only way to justify transferring them would be if Antarctistan is some form of successor state to Lurikstan. And considering the former appears to be based on the Antarctic and the later had Texas on its flag I'm guessing it isn't.

I personally would say yes. It will be up to the hosts in the end but normally, nobody is excluded for any reason, no matter what they have done previously.

Rugby League World Cup V: Official Bid


The lRLA (which is the same group that governed our predecessor state Lurikastan) has put fourth a bid to host it's second (first as Antarctistan) Rugby League World Cup. We feel that hosting this tournament will be a big difference from the previous four, mostly due to the Antarctic climate. Hence causing new and interesting challenges to be brought to the competing teams.

The average tempature for outdoor games will be around -30 centigrade, however only two of the stadia are fully exposed.


Stadia:

McMurdo Memorial Stadium (Cap. 72,000)
The crown jewel of Antarctistan, delicate ice sculptures adorn the exterior while the interior has a Fieldturf surface. the stadium does have radiant heat, heated seats and a retractable roof.

Location: 184 Victor Ave. McMurdo, Department Ross

(Will be used for group play, general playoffs (unsure of how many will go to knock out (will depend on the numbers)) Semi-final 1 and the Third place match.)

North Field at the South Pole. (Cap. 60,000)

This stadium ironic name and all is only a few miles from the Geographic South Pole. Its all North from here. A field turf surface will be accompanied by radiant heat from the field. No roof is over the field.

Location: 3252 North Drive. South Pole, North Department

(Will be used for group play, general playoffs and the RLWC V finals)

Icetown at The Shelf (Cap. 40,000)

This stadium is domed with a FieldTurf surface. Is located on the edge of the Ross Ice Shelf.

Location: 8431 1st St. Ross, Department Ross

(Will be used for group play, general playoffs and SF 1)

The Icy Greens (Cap. 20,000)

A minature version of the famed Golden Greens in Salo, Lurikastan (location of the RLWC II: Lurikastan/The Yorozuya finals between hosts Lurikastan and Sorthern Northland), complete with Gold root grass and all. Has a retractable roof.

Location: 7256 Greens Way. Salo, Department Salo

Da Field at Advvent City (20,000)

Away from the mainland this grass stadium will be a welcome relief from the chills of the mainland.

Location: 32 Adventi Drive. Advent City, AA

(Will be used upon request from teams wanting to avoid the cold for group play)

Elizabethian Cruise Lines Centre (Cap 22,000)

Located in Princess Elizabeth this multi-purpose stadium used for Football, Gridiron, Rugby and Hockey will be a average stadium for players.

How would you host it? The most important part of a hosting bid is probably the ooc explanation of how it will be scorinated etc. All I can see is a very odd list of stadiums. Is there going to be some more?

Lithatrius: I would advise against trying to host until you have a good idea what you are doing. Hosting a tournament is not an easy task and takes many hours of work. Not wanting to put you off but I think you should just know what you could be getting yourself into.

I simply agree with Somewherelseistonia. However as the man behind Antarctistan has already created a experineced country before, maybe it could be good. So I think Antarctistan is the ONLY bidder at this time. I would like Qazox, Starbayida, Babbage Islands or Grittonia to put up a bid, they would do a great job.

What about Sorthern Northland? He has said he will bid having also hosted the first RLWC. The names you mentioned are not active in the Rugby competitions so them joining is unlikely.

We have a long time till this competition will start so there's no need to rush things. As it stands, nobody has put up a proper hosting bid as Antarctistan has not outlined how they will host it.

((OOC: sorry bout the lack of scorination info, totally slipped my mind.

I will scorinate at around 19:00 EDT with results around 20:00 EDT the rp deadline at 18:50 EDT. I will use the same method I used for RLWC II and proposed for RLWC IV(which is scorinate with Starblaydia's scorinator then copy the results on paper, then use a modded table from NSFS and manually put in the results into the table. Then I pit the individual scores on the post as well as the tables), and there will be no more stadia in my bid as there's no other city's with stadia to support a RLWC.

Could you jog our memories on what that was, please. Whilst I'm fairly sure I know what scorinator you'll be using I can't remember the details of your previous bids without looking for it and it's probable others won't either.

Also times mean nothing without saying which time-zone they're for. 19:00 for you could be 07:00 for one person and 14:00 for another.
