The rankings posted by QoD appear to be quite fair and well done, in my opinion.

I might make a host bid using the system posted by my former neighbor and now nation in which we have conquered. But I see Delaclava has interest too, and if he bid, I would not.

I've gotten a couple of TG's about the group scorination. So, basically what happened is I accidentally selected Sibirsky twice, so Sibirsky did not play, but their evil twin did. Day 1 of Group C will be rescorinated along with Day 2.

This was a result in Group A:

Stuffed Taxidermists (STT) 79–79 Draevok (DRA) (88–87 OT)

However on the table, the teams have 0-0 records and 79 PF/ 79 PA.

In Group G, I believe Krytenia should be ahead of Spitfyred1, with a half-game better record (3-4 to 3-5). Hell, I'm 3-4 too and I'm ahead of Spitfyred1 :P

This sets up a huge game for the last slot in our group, as I have to play Krytenia. Possible outcomes:

  • Civil Citizenry beats Krytenia; Civil Citizenry moves on to the Knockout Stage on overall record and potentially overall point differential.

I guess I completely ignored that Spitfyred1 is out of it, he's done with all his games. It's down to one last game for the last slot. Exciting stuff here.

Okay...so first of all, I have now put in the points from the two overtime games. The standings are now complete.

Also, I apologize for not getting up the group draw. That was supposed to be done last night, but I got hit hard with a fever and pretty much fell asleep before I got a chance to do it. Also sick tonight, but I'll try to see if I can get it up soon. If not, I'll get it up tomorrow.

Feel better!

And also, fml, I lost to Krytenia by six slim points and now I'm in the Best of the Rest stage. Where's John Wall when you need him?

Strict adherence to union policies hurting baskingball team

The once highly rated national baskingball team has fallen a little in its latest endeavours, at the 7th International Cup of Basking in Delaclava losing what captain Jukka-Pekk Haapalainen called "games we should have won" and failing to play with the elbow-flailing defensive prowess that earned them high regard during IBC6.

Some have attributed the move to the team's insistence on taking their union mandated smoking break midway through games, during which times opposing teams have tended to score heavily. Haapalainen defended his players, however: "We have a legal right to associate as free workers. Attempting to force us to work, or block shots, during the designated break period is a violation of human rights and will be responded with vigorous industrial action."

Okay, so I was looking through the BOTR tables and there were some pretty funky misorderings. Basically, I forgot to include wins, and so now the first tiebreaker is overall point differential. Fun, huh? That'll be all fixed in the end.

Bad news: My laptop battery overheated today and I was forced to restart my computer. Since apparently you can't save anything on Macs with xkoranate, I lost the file. No need to worry, I'll recalculate the RPs and get the rankings back in, but cutoff will be a bit later tonight and/or scorination and tables will take longer.

Delaclava, you eliminated five teams from Group 1 of the top stage. That would leave seven teams in the quarterfinals...

HOWEVER, if you want to RP knowing who he is, TG me if you can. Otherwise, post here.

I already RP'd stats for Jack Beamon here:
