EOC, I saw your post in IBC 23. I think eliminated teams are allowed a "farewell RP".

As someone who's hosted before, I have no problem with people doing it. After all, they are technically still a participant, so long as they don't become obnoxious about it.
I don't know how long I'll be back, but I just thought I'd stop in and say hi, at least.

All I can say is, Fleft doesn't deserve to be swept.

And by the way, Harris' interception also fit the title of the Interceptors story arc. Clever!

Honestly, the interception thing didn't even come to my mind. The Interceptors were a thing (in my headcanon at least) before I even came up with the steal from Harris. Just goes to show that there is such a thing as coincidence. ;)

No talk about the end of the tournament, huh? :p

Congrats again Saint Kanye! If I'd remembered to check the result this morning then I would've updated the ranks but now that'll likely have to wait until Tuesday since I have a suuuuper busy weekend coming up.

And of course, thanks Abaja and Qasden for a nicely-run IBC! Good to see Abaja getting their feet wet and Qasden continuing their rise upward in the hosting world.

So yeah, I'll be updating the council and the ranks and doing El Presidential business on Tuesday because that's when I'll have some time to get it all set up. See you all in an indeterminate amount of weeks for IBC 24!

Fleft: I thought you went with that play because of the title, but apparently not.

Still, good series, but now the Dirnt issue ends on a cliffhanger, I guess.

Drawk: Thank you. So many good takeaways from the contest. For example, Abaja gets its first podium finish, Abanhfleft improves on last season's result, EOC makes itself known, and we go back-to-back.

Man, what a IBC! That was fun. Some thanks are in store:

To Fleft: Well done. You'll get them next year. I must say that playing you in the Quarterfinals was one of my favorite experiences this IBC.
To Saint Kanye: Congrats on your back-to-back titles. Well done. Well played. Maybe someday the Felines will have a chance to play off against you.
To Vangaziland: Thank you for being gracious in defeat. I wish you the best of luck next year.
To Fleft and Kanye: Teresa sends her congratulations and sympathy. One last RP before I go. Your RPs were excellent and fun to read and it was a great run for you both.
To Quasden and Abaja: Thanks for being such good hosts. I especially admired your artistic abilities and ability to put the tournament first over your own teams at times.
To All: Thanks for showing me the ropes. I enjoyed it and I will return next year eager to play against all of you again.

It's been fun. I hope to run into y'all in other sports RPs.
Until then, a quote from Churchill:
"Victory is not final, failure is not fatal, it is the courage to continue that counts."

Congrats to Saint Kanye. That was definitely a fun tournament to be involved in even though I didn't get as far as some others, the upset wins kept it interesting and made it fun to write the story of Sol Star. I haven't been active in the IBC before this one but I look forward to continuing that story in the next one.

Turns out I won't be updating the ranks and such today nor 2 days ago as promised, since we were booted out of the lab so a bunch of underclassmen could take some stupid standardized test.

Sorry guys, hang with me, it'll be done sometime in the next week (maybe today if I can get my afternoon free).

IBO Post 23

Postby International Basketball Organization » Fri May 05, 2017 7:49 pm

Oh Lord, presidential duties again. Nobody joined the committee this cycle (all 3 in the zone didn't sign up) but there's a few that can next time.

The following nations can join the committee after IBC 23 if they post a Roster and at least 1 RP:
Newmanistan
Empire of Cats
Spaam
Flardania
Natanians and Nosts
West Phoencia
(Iron Syndicate, being a puppet of Anglatia, is technically already a member of the committee)

The following nations will be booted if they don't at least post a Roster in IBC 23:
Nova Anglicana/Nueva Andalusia

The following nations have had their membership lapsed for not posting a roster after having membership in danger. They can rejoin once they post a roster in a future edition, as they are former hosts:
Electrum
Royal Kingdom of Quebec

The following nations have had their membership lapsed for not posting a roster after having membership in danger. They can rejoin once they post a roster and at least 1 RP for 2 consecutive editions:
San Llera
Ko-oren

All current committee members are listed in this spoiler. Let me know if I've made a mistake.
Saintland/Free Republics
Valladares
Ceni/New Gelderland
Drawkland
Ethane
Abaja
Qasden
Nova Anglicana/Nueva Andalusia
Abanhfleft
Vangaziland
Frenline Delpha
Saint Kanye
Valanora
Anglatia/Iron Syndicate

Ranks incoming tonight I hope.
