Fantoa City FC

Fantoa City FC is the second oldest soccer club in the nation of Fantoa, though the nation it self is a horrific state to live in everyone in the nation enjoys a good soccer match. FC as it is called has won the past two national championships and last year won the league Shield as they scored 89 goals and finished with their best record yet going 23-5-7.

Eagle Center United

Unlike Fantoa City Eagle Center United (ECU) was founded in 1934 but has won the nations most championships at 27, their most recent one was in 2008 when they beat Fantoa City FC, 2-1. They hold the best FSL (Fantoa Soccer League) record at 29-2-2 in 2001 then ending the year off with the championship with a 32-2-2 record.

Gemsbrook Capitals

Gemsbrook is one of the older teams in the NSA (National Soccer Association) though the team hasn't won any championships since 1999 they have over the past decade has the best winning percentage of .892. For the past five years they have won the leagues shield by scoring an average of 97.8 goals per-year.

St. Johns

The St. Johns Metro Stars isn't as good as Gemsbrook but they have enjoyed some good years though many say they are past their due for another good run, they have won the NSA Cup five times in 1978, 1980, 1981, 1991 and 1992, each time they posted a record of 25 wins or better.

Qas FC

Qas FC just like every team in The Cid Football League (TCFL) is new since the league was founded in 2006 they haven't had to much experience compared to other teams, how ever only being five years old Qas FC has been the most suspenseful club by winning the TCFL Cup four times in 2006, 2007, 2009 and 2010. In this short time the club has a 42-4-7 record over the past five years.

Cid FC

Just like Qas FC, Cid FC was founded in 2006 however they aren't as suspenseful as Qas and haven't been able to get to the TCFL Cup, though going to the playoffs each year.

It's A Tie!

For the opening game of the first Fantoa Cup, it was a battle of capitals between Fantoa City FC and Gemsbrook two very good teams from their respected nations, and two good teams gave us a good game at a sold out City Park. Fantoa City took an early lead at 34 minutes with a JULIO Helstrom goal, but Gemsbrook would fight back scoring their own at 41 minutes making it a 1-1 draw at the half. Only three minutes into the second half CARLO Vardy scored for Gemsbrook, but however that lead would be very short lived as Goal Keeper ERIK Phalen kicked the ball to midfield and NELSON Shearin did the rest to make it 2-2.
Next up Gemsbrook plays Cid FC on Day 3 of the tournament.
