You can if you come up with a scorinator that does that.

Now that i'd like to have in xk, prefer that over sudden death and IFAF on any given day.

Karditan and IFAF have my vote. Honestly, the IFAF bid would have had to be someone really bad, you know what I mean. No offense to other prospective bidders (if there are other IFAF bids I will consider them). (ETA: To be clear, "what I mean" is assuming there are no major negatives to their qualification, etc.)

The point of this is not so much to bicker in the thread (sudden-death fans can and should vote for the bid they like most), as to confirm in the first person that such WBA members exist and that the system works.

Like IFAF? Vote IFAF. Like sudden death? Vote sudden death. No strong preference? Vote on some other characteristic and roll the dice. Personally, JMHO but I love the IC conceit of the World Bowl having potentially different overtime formats from one edition to the next, even if my favorite doesn't win out :) in the NS world, it's perfect that it's literally due to IC politics.

I'd also like to gently remind everyone that overtime rules aren't the only thing that should be taken into account when deciding who to vote for... not that anyone was going to do that, but the previous discussion almost made the WB seem like a one-issue topic.

Definitely, hosting takes a lot more than OT, which isn't even used all that often.

I think I've run the 2 most different World Bowls in recent history. WB17 had every qualifying game played in M7 with IFAF OT and WB19 had a second group stage after qualifying (like the WC) and with sudden-death OT.

In other words, if you want a normal format, don't vote for my bids! haha

IC, the people of Zerabithea are still angry at M7 for that second elimination round (which they blame for the Rams lost after having arguably one of the best seasons in history (at least in their opinion) and at Zerabithea's WB rep for voting for your bid. :p

I'll be cutting off Host Bids and Presidential nominations in an hour or two. Sorry about the lateness.

Aaaand sorry again.

After several delays...

Host bids and Presidential nominations are being cut-off.

At the current time:

Presidential Vote
As it turns out, Presidential voting was incorrectly brought up; I was elected to World Bowl President leading up to World Bowl 19, and thus my term is set to include 19, 20, and 21. I believe a misconception was born after TBI's resignation, where I served out the remaining two cycles of his term, thus creating the misconception that a term lasted for two World Bowl cycles rather than three. Thus, voting on the President will be postponed until the beginning of the cycle for World Bowl 21. The winner of that vote will take on Presidential duties at the conclusion of World Bowl 21.

It also occurs to me that, due to running unopposed (Civil Citizenry both withdrew during our race, and has since CTE'd), there is currently no World Bowl Vice President (due to the Vice President being the second-place finisher in the Presidential vote). Though I have no intentions of leaving, this is a vital position that we need to fill in the event that some event leaves the sitting World Bowl President incapable of executing their duties, or in the event of CTE. Thus, I will ask if we might hold a special election for Vice President in the stead of a Presidential election. I also ask if M7 and Yesopalitha would be inclined to move their nominations to World Bowl Vice President for the remainder of my term.

I would also like to ask if there would be support for a resolution to make provision for the election (or selection) of a World Bowl Vice President in the event of a President running unopposed (which creates the current problem under our current provisions). Discuss, please.

We do have:
World Bowl Host Bids:
- Karditan
- Allamunnic States (Fanboy)(Withdrawn)

The options for vote (please send votes to this account via TG) are:
1) Karditan's Bid
2) Re-open Bidding

Baptism of Iron Host Bids:
- New West Guiana

The options for vote (please send votes to this account via TG) are:
1) New West Guiana's Bid
2) Re-open Bidding

Please TG your votes to World Bowl.

As a reminder: only World Bowl Assembly Members may vote. A World Bowl Assembly Member is a nation that has participated in the last two World Bowls. For clarification, "participation" is defined as a minimum of posting a roster. Any member that has neglected to post a roster for two consecutive World Bowls is not considered a committee member without re-fulfilling membership requirements (two consecutive bowls of participation).

However, as I was confirming the wording of the membership requirements, I also encountered a separate problem:

viewtopic.php?p=6515461#p6515461

Current World Bowl Assembly Members are as follows:
- Osarius
- Franklin Delano Bluth*
- Allamunnic States
- Cassadaigua
- Darmen
- Khabarovsk Krai
- Andossa Se Mitrin Vega
- German Zerabithea
- Qazox
- Civil Citizenry**
- Taeshan
- Thrilledge
- Vettrera
- Yesopalitha
- Karditan
- Equestrian States
- Free South Califas
- Michael VII
*Franklin Delano Bluth is considered, for committee membership purposes, to be a successor nation to Bluth Corporation and thus retains Bluth Corporation's Assembly membership.
**Civil Citizenry has, as of the end of World Bowl XIX, Ceased-to-Exist. Civil Citizenry will lose membership if it does not return for either World Bowl 20 or 21.

1) Confirming that I am withdrawing my hosting bid.
2) I dunno, NWG. It is not on the Announcements thread (which I'm going to start reviving). If you can find the relevant resolution, can you please link to it?

Alrighty! Thanks, NWG.

On that related note; please be sure to bookmark the World Bowl Announcements thread, and please bring forward any resolutions or amendments which have not been added to it as I try to bring it up to date; I have already updated the World Bowl Assembly member list (and the list of those eligible within one World Bowl cycle). I will add the resolution which NWG just brought to my attention, and I will try to add the rest as I am able.

In truth i'd wonder should we just start a new World Bow thread, one with the WB nation as the OP?
