The Kingdom Of The Icemark continued their great undefeated run at the expense of Bloodbath Generations to reach the final of the Women's World Indoor Championship. It was The Icemark's first appearance at the Ralph Wilson Arena and a sold out crowd of 20,000 roared the team onto a 3-0 victory.
The Icemark went into the match with a makeshift defence after two of their players were suspended in the previous game, but the new back line held firm and managed to keep a clean sheet in their debut together. The Icemark went into the game cautiously after Bloodbath Generations took an amazing victory against Ipeland in the Quarter-Finals.
Lindenshield continued her great scoring form when she gave The Icemark an early lead with an improvised flick from Celestes cross that just beat the goalkeeper at the near post.
Soon after the half way point The Icemark increased their lead when Celeste cut in inside the area to smash in the second.
And five minutes from the end Lindenshield all but sealed the win when she met Celestes pass to score her second and The Icemark's third of the game.
Lindenshield said after the match, "Its a dream to get to the final. When we entered this tournament our main aim was to put on a good showing and compete. Never in our wildest dreams did I expect us to reach the final. We,ve had a consistency to our game throughout the tournament which is the most important thing. When you are up there you need to keep on grinding out results really and even when you are not playing well grind out results. And we have done that, especially against teams like 95X and Homelands Our."
Lindenshield was proud of her replacements today, "They proved to everyone in our nation that we have a good enough squad to cope when not all of our starting line-up is avialble for selection."
The Icemark will play Lukquarel in the final after they saw off Krumbia after extra time. Its the final many expected as both teams have been the most in form sides in the tournament. This will no doubtly be The Icemark's most difficult match of the event and Lindenshield is expecting an exciting game.
"We know how good Lukquarel are," She said. "They've shown it throughout the tournament. They lost two group games but recovered well to win their group. I expect them to score goals. They are the top scoring side in the tournament. I think the game will probably be quite close and will be decided by a single goal."

The Ideal Championship Match-up

"Extra Time for the second match?!" Cried the fans throughout Hope Charity Center. In the Women's World Indoor Soccer Championship, Lukquarel had to go into a second match that involved extra time to be the decider. It was a tense and thrilling Semi-Final, against Krumbia. After regulation, the score was 2-2. But after the full time of the added periods finished, Lukquarel was on top 3-0. Parghl Slike scored both goals in regulation, along with Ghorh Schemlavsk, Caszart Jsefski, and Katelynn Ferhcci, in Extra Time.

"The whole Lukquarel side of the Arena went insane!" boasted Kat Enoia, Head Coach, after the exciting Semi, "Both squads played exceptional today! I was surprised we didn't lose honestly! Krumbia played a game that nobody else thought they could do. In the Group Stages, they were average. We killed them in both of our earlier matches. They obviously, stepped-up for today's performance. The girls for our home nation however, I believe, were filled with nerves. This is a crucial stage in the competition. Lose here, Good-bye! We played an under-average regulation match. But in Extra Time, whoa! The team showed what they are truly capable of. Hopefully, they can play like that against undefeated The Icemark in the final. It will be the perfect game that everyone was wishing for."

The Icemark sailed through 95X winning 3-0. We will have to train hard in able to beat the #1 team in the tournament. After the play-offs began, everyone around the world was hoping for the top 2 seeds to reach this point. And now, that has become a reality. Good luck to both countries in this already, thrilling, and nerve-wracking tournament.

Fourth Place For First WWISC

After a loss against Bloodbath Generation, 3-1, Krumbia had to settle with fourth place in this competition. Lukquarel didn't win the final and came second after a very lose match in extra time. Krumbia is pleased with the results and is atleast glad they beat the group stages.

The Central Journal of Lukquarel

It Was Within Reach

What a fantastic ending to an exciting tournament. Lukquarel eventually did lose in the Finals of the Women's World Indoor Soccer Championship. The game was tense, as a 1-1 draw led to Extra Time. But The Icemark proved too tough, winning 2-1 after the added periods. Parghl Slike scored, having her competition finish with 6 goals overall. A very good first accomplishment for the youngest star in the Championship. Along with Parghl, Amber Truhe snuck one thorugh, on her return from injury.

"There is nothing to be ashamed of," spoke Kat Enoia, Head Coach, "This was the first World competition these girls played through. Nobody expected us to get through the qualifying rounds! We played a fantastic, an astounding tournament! The squad is obviously disappointed, but they will eventually look back on their performance as a well played few weeks. The Icemark is a great nation for sports. I mean, they didn't lose a game all competition! And to think we game close to beating them... You can't be sad with knowing that."

Lukquarel will be awaiting the arrival of the next WWISC. It will be some hard training, and good scouting, to find the team that can eventually win it all. This was the perfect finish to the first ever Women's World Indoor Soccer Championship. The squad will be arriving in Aischia, Lukquarel, from an exceptional host of West New Guiana.

An extra time winner from Lindenshield sent the Icemark fans into delirium. The Icemark had to hold on towars the end, but the roar of the fans chanting, "Come On You Bears!" drove the nation on to its first sporting success.

Coach and Captain Lindenshield said after the match, "This is the greatest moment in this nations sporting history! We are overjoyed at winning the tournament. We knew Lukquarel would give us our toughest game of the championship and they did. It could have gone either way, but in the end we managed to score the winner and take the prize home."

*due to the recent Bloddy Good Yeller building hostage and shooting last month, the BGY was on hiatus for safety reasons. Sorry for the inconvenience*

In a hard-fought tournament, the Fighting SOnes placed 3rd, beating Krumbia in a hotly-contested semi-final watched by hundreds of millions of people all around the nation and the world. Taeyun Kim opened the game with a goal in the 8th minute, but Krumbia tied the game at the 32nd minute. Messica, riding on a wave of enthusiasm and the classis "dolphin roar" fanchant, scored the 2nd and 3rd goals of the game only one minute apart, at the 81st and 82nd minute. After congratulating Krumbia on a job well done, the team did their famous 91 degree bow, and captain Taeyun Kim said, " We are so thankful for this opportunity to play in the WWISC and get this far. We owe it to ourselves, our coaches, but most of all, you, the Bloodies. We love you!" The team then went back home to a ticker-tape parade, ribbon cutting for the new NationsPlayground and World Stadium, and many more. This was a great tournament!

***PS: How can I bid for next year?***
