I forgot to specify a bidding period, but any parties wanting to bid to host should do it by this Saturday.

But we now have a host bid (a la Qasden) and (7*2)+3 signups, otherwise known as 17! What a holy number!

However, 21 is the next good signup number. Hopefully we can hit that one right on the head and won't have to waitlist or get numbers-only signups.

The Damukunian Sonnel States Association for Sport (SSAS), joint overseen by the Damukuni Football Association (Damukuni FA) and the Board of Control for Cricket in Damukuni (BCCD), hereby submit this host bid for the fourth edition of the International Cup of 7ball.

IC INFO
The Damukunian Sonnel States are five constituent states of the United States of Damukuni, located on the planet Sonnel. The most populous state of this space-removed exclave is Coastal Dre, to the south and west, with about 17.1 million people as of the 2025 Damukuni Census. Coastal Dre actually dwarfs the other four, population-wise, with the rest of the states having less than 5 million people each. Most of the southern edge of the Sonnel States (bordered by all except Northern Hind) features a vast, green coastal plain, home to many varieties of tropical flora and fauna. The northern part, closer to Nicerford (to the north) and Aeryngale (to the east), is home to the Interior Plains area and the Hind mountain range, the latter having peaks up to 3,200 meters (10,000 feet) tall. As states of Damukuni, the region enjoys widespread religious, political, and economic freedom. Key cities include Coastal Dre's state capital of Port Flowers, the Northern Hind city of Plateau Town, and the West Aeryndale city of Berlitz.

OOC INFO
The player behind Damukuni (and the Sonnel States) is also Fleuronordicia (formerly Peuples Nordiques des Fleurs), who scorinated the knockout states of the 2nd edition and fully hosted the 3rd edition of the International Cup of 7ball. Additionally, he is the current curator of the Campionato Esportivano di Campeones (as Damukuni), the domestic club football/soccer tournament for the region of Esportiva, and the Champions' League Twenty20, the international championship for domestic Twenty20-format cricket leagues. Other hosting experience includes the 26th Copa Rushmori (South Yerfilag, now a province of Eshan), the 25th World Lacrosse Championships and the Golden Shield of Football (seasons 1-7) (as Corcra and Tir Trodaithe), and the 9th GCF World Twenty20 (as Damukuni).

GROUP STAGE / PLAYOFF FORMAT
The knockout matchup listed is the first which would contain a full amount of teams (8 for a quarterfinal and 16 for a Round of 16). The byes listed would be automatic advances (based on Decision Order) into that specific stage.

The Holy Numbers (Multiples of 7)

21 3 (of 7) Single Top 3 teams (1 bye); Quarterfinal

SCORINATION AND RANKING
xkoranate 0.3.3, with 7ball scorination file. Ranks will be used. Full RP coƫfficient will be scaled back between the group stage and the playoffs. All playoff series will be played as best-(4 full matches)-of-7.

DECISION ORDER
  1. Overall Group Finish
  2. Wins
  3. 7ets difference
  4. 7ets for

With Cos signing on, we now have hit the 7 * 3 threshold of 21! Let's hope we can get 7 more signups before the tournament starts so we have a beautiful multiple of 7 number! (plus 28 is a good number for formatting anyway).

Alright everyone, it's about that time. We have 21 signups right now (Oteshknir is a friend of mine and he said he didn't actually want to sign up. Scrub). Anyhow, I'll put things on a temporary waitlist if we get anymore signups, and the potential hosts can decide to cut or keep them.

If you're signed up for THIS edition of the International Cup of 7ball then you can vote for the host. This is a puppet of Drawkland, send the votes to this nation. Here are your options!
Qasden
Damukuni Sonnel States

Also if you haven't seen it yet, check out this powerpoint! It explains the rules and operations of 7ball much better than I've explained in the past.

Well this is incredible. We got one vote.

Qasden - 1
Damukunian Sonnel States - 0

I now pass on all the things with doing the tournament on to Qasden. We currently have 22 signups, do what you will.

Huzzah!

Thanks to the, er, voter, for allowing this bid to go through. As of Oteshknir we should be at 23 signups, 1 short of our next visible format and 5 away from the next factor of 7. With that being said, signups will go on for another 24 hours from this post or until 28 signups have been achieved, which ever happens sooner. All signups past the 24 mark will be waitlisted and not guaranteed entry until 28. All signups after that will be waitlisted and most likely nullified unless 32 can somehow be reached.

Indeed. Lunigo 7s will be participating purely for numbers, but shall be the first to go in the case of a main.

And with Sir Nukes-A-Lot at 24, signups are now CLOSED. All attempted signups beyond this point will be rendered null and void. Expect the everything/ic thread to appear either tonight or tomorrow.

Happy 7ing!

Group Draw is up.

Also, due to my idiocy, the format of the group stage has been changed to 6 groups of 4, meaning less matches and an easier advancement into the Round of 7+9. So, yeah, enjoy. :3

The 3PPO and Finals have both been pushed back 24 hours due to RL commitments today. Apologies for any inconveniences.
