And the irony is this: Scores for tomorrow's quarterfinals round will likely be late because I'm going to an event in D.C. They will be posted, but perhaps an hour or two late.

You did win the divisional playoff at World Bowl 13... so technically you have.

An opinion question.. For the WBC I created an all-time team record (W-L .Pct) list. Would anyone be opposed to having one for the World Bowl? I would include Baptism of Iron records as part of the Overall record, and actually have playoff records for each team.

Yeah, I don't see what exactly there'd be to be opposed to

And to ASMV: Can't have a Sarzonia-Qazox final, because they're on the same side of the bracket (unless what's up on the WS page is incorrect).

Hey, I had that until World Bowl XIII. My first Word Bowl was the Seventh, with two other tournaments on the side. I didn't even start making the playoffs until my fourth tournament in (WB's 7 and 8, along with the Silver Bowl, althoug the last was technically a playoff only, where I lost in the first round, finally made a proper playoff berth in WB 9), and then didn't actually win a playoff game until the 13th.

Sometimes Margaret just likes to screw with you at random times.

That's why the World Bowl main page links to all 15 editions. I'd likely have the overall records and the playoff records listed separately to make it easier to find things. (Might change how the WBC version looks too while I'm at it.)

Host announcement:

Since I'm just now getting home from an event I went to last night (which preceded my announcement that scores would be late last night), scores for the World Bowl quarterfinals are being pushed back a day. Everything else will also push back a day with the exception being that Thursday is still a scheduled day off.

I apologise for missing last night's scheduled scorination, but we will be back on track tonight.

And no, I didn't get arrested.

I think next WB I am going to include "If my opponent RPs first they can...Score safeties - N" in my permissions box. :| :|

BTW Sarzizzle: have you decided whether you're going to do an All-World type thing? The consensus seemed to be against it, but I wasn't sure where you, as host, came down on the issue.

Try these... (though technically, also safeties...).

College football rules allow either team to score a one-point safety after a touchdown. Say that Team B blocks Team A's extra-point attempt, and a player on Team B picks up the ball on the 1-yard line. Looking for an opening, the player with the ball runs backwards voluntarily into his end zone, where he is tackled. Team A receives one point for the conversion safety, and the score is now 7–0.

or:

College football's rules also allow the defensive team to score a one-point conversion safety on a PAT or conversion try. One possible scenario: Team B blocks Team A's extra-point attempt, and a player on Team B picks up the loose ball and runs towards the opposite end zone. Before reaching the goal line, he fumbles the ball and it is recovered by a player from Team A, who then voluntarily runs into his own (Team A's) end zone and is tackled. Team B would score one point for the conversion safety and the score would then be 6–1.

The NFL also has a one-point "conversion safety" rule. Under NFL rules, an unsuccessful extra-point is dead if kicked, but while attempting a two-point try, it is possible for a safety to be ruled if the defensive team forces the ball back into their own end zone and they recover. One point would be awarded to the offense, instead of the two points that are normally awarded for safeties.

But what if, by some freak chance you lost a game 2-0? or 5-3? Only way to get those scores is via a safety!
(I know these are impossible scores with the given scorinators)

Host announcement:

Delaclava has offered and I have accepted his offer to scorinate the semifinal match and the following match that Sarzonia is involved in.

I will scorinate the other semifinal and the following match that Sarzonia is NOT involved in.

By that measure, Delaclava has been granted explicit permission to post the results of the matches I'm involved in on the scores thread.
