Haha. Well I don't know, maybe coming first in a qualifying round but not getting a medal might hurt a bit more, lol

Oh no! Not again! I lost again! Now I know how RL Olympic athletes feel after failing to get a medal. Well I still have several more events to compete in. I probably shouldn't have been modest and humble and make .75 my highest modifier.

I couldn't find my 15km freestyle skier Slo Bloke. What was his position? Or has he not gone yet?

Slight cock-up on my part it would seem; I put him in the wrong list and he's been put into the 50km classical instead. Sorry about that.

One little question?

Any chance of you separating the different scorinations for each day (ie: AM session/PM session)? As it gets kinda confusing to keep track of what has and hasn't been done each day. i don't wanna accidently RP about X, then have Y happen later in the day; and not know that Y happened.

Just FYI, the RP I made shortly before you scorinated day 5 was edited to reflect Bergnovinaia's gold medal win in luge in day 5. That will count as my RP for day 5, unless I have another chance to make an addtional RP after school tomorrow.

I um noticed last night that we were down a medal at the most recent count, and it continued this morning with a are third medal. We should have 1 godl and 2 silver, not one gold and one silver.

There is no "AM" and "PM" session. In the bid, I mentioned one scorination per day; only time has prevented this. I made an exception for Day 2 because of the huge gap in between scorinations.

Funny story: you were actually in the medal table twice. Once with one gold and one silver, and once with one silver. Now fixed.

Is it wrong to be completely amused that one of my ice dance teams went from 4th to 19th between compulsories and original dance, with what appears to be the worst score during the original dance. I dunno if I've ever seen such a collapse in actual competition.

Yep... it's called scorination.

In response to the red, here's two things to think about:

1) NS isn't RL... things can happen in the wacko world of sport scorination. (Also, a severe drop in point level may represent a fall in the second performance, which often drastically reduces the score.)
2) I'm not sure if you have RP'ed or not, but that could also contribute to the "bipolarity" between the scores. RPing is key to winning events because it gives your players extra bonuses.

It's not wrong at all; one of mine did something similar between original and free. Have some fun RPing it ;)

Waaait a minute

Why was the RP cutoff at around 6 pm EST when it had been 8 pm EST for... well, at least a while now?

Not trying to be a prick, but every day the RP cutoff had been at 8 pm, all of which do not mention that they were late:

Day One - actually posted at 9:20, but you admit it was 80 mins late because of some funky computer error (mine does this to me too, I personally believe they're trying to plan some kind of a revolution)
Day Two
Day Three
Day Five

Except for Day Four, which was at 9:34 am:
Day Four

Day Six was at 6 pm EST:
Day Six

So I more or less assumed that these cutoffs were at 8 pm EST, sans the Day 4 one which you said was due to being behind on the scoring. I guess I'm just confused is all. I tried to look for a post where it says where the RP cutoff is, and I didn't find one (but I admit I usually stink at hunting for stuff in posts ^^). Not trying to be a jerk, but I guess I was caught off guard here.

Still, when is this RP cutoff going to happen?

I understand. I did say in the bid that scorination would occur between 2300-0200 GMT (6pm-9pm Eastern); long days at work have meant that I've been cutting off towards the back end of that. I'm off work today, hence the earlier cutoff. Expect things to be back to about 7-8 your time over the weekend.

Oh ok. So will those people who posted between 6-8 pm EST have their rp's count next time, this time, or just kind of fall in between the cracks? Just trying to understand things here, not trying to drag this out.

I'd think they'd be counted for the next match day but, don't take my word as official

That's kind of what I'm thinking, but since they were rp'd before the results came out, would that rp be counted at all?

Before any scorination, all RPs between the cutoff for the previous scorination and the cutoff for the current scorination are counted. This means that, no matter what you RP, it will be counted for the next day/matchday/round.

*Just a friendly note that due to my bad timing, I have two RP's that will count towards the next scorination, one that reflected day 5 results after you gave the day 6 cutoff, and one relfecting the day 6 results made just moments ago.
