Saint Kanye wrote:"Sure, that would be great, thanks. I think I'll give you my number too, just so I'd be informed of any developments. Man, I'm so excited for this - if you say they're fun, then they really must be fun. Yeah, I'm gonna convince Stacie to come along with me." He turned his back to Zhu and pumped his fist, then faced her again.

"Hold up though, what exactly did you mean by fan art?"

Zhu blinked in surprised and then blushed. She assumed that everyone had already seen the bootleg posters and online fan art shipping her with Ryker or other random Nimban celebrities. She had certainly not intended to draw anyone's attention to it if they hadn't seen it already.

"You haven't seen any of those drawings or fanfics where people were shipping me with random Nimban guys?" she asked. "The people selling bootleg merch at NSSCRA tracks have been selling posters with me and Ryker Lane doing...things. You're better off not seeing that stuff if you haven't already. It's pretty gross."

Kai Qiang and Mendok Sherpa were interrupted by the sound of Cammy pounding on their bedroom door. "Are you playing Star Trek? I want to play!" Cammy shouted excitedly.

Qiang and Mendok paused what they were doing and exchanged bewildered looks. "What's Star Trek?" Qiang whispered to Mendok.

"It's a show she watches," Mendok explained. "It's in English with subtitles and I think she just listens to the English. The subtitles are way above her reading level." (Mendok thought the show was from Vangaziland, but she couldn't remember for sure.)

Qiang was still totally confused.

Cammy gave the door another whack with her fist. "Can I come in? I want to play Star Trek too!"

"What is she talking about?" Qiang asked.

"I have no idea," Mendok said. She slipped a robe on and went to the door to ask Cammy what she was yelling about.

Qiang pulled on a pair of pajama pants so he would be decent too, in case Cammy came in the room.

"Why were you pounding on the door?" Mendok asked Cammy.

"Because I thought you were playing Star Trek and I want to play too!"

"Why did you think we were playing Star Trek?" Qiang asked.

"Because mom kept calling you Riker!"

Mendok suddenly looked like she was about to vomit. "Oh, yurgh! Holy Mother! I wasn't talking about THAT Riker! Bleeeaaaaghhh!!!!" She bounced around and flapped her arms like a berserk cocoabo and made disgusted gagging noises.

Qiang was still totally lost. "Does someone want to tell me what's going on?" he asked.

Mendok stopped bouncing around and said, "I'll show you the show and then you'll understand -- but we are NOT doing any Star Trek roleplays! Oh, bleagh..."

In Suzhou, Shuzhen Zhu was helping her mother fold dumplings, and Mr. Zhu was munching on some of the leftover dumplings from the day before. The lady from Ningbo had been sent on her way, and Mr. Zhu wanted to have some breakfast before he went back to his garage to attend to the daily smattering of oil changes, flat tires, and people complaining that their car made a funny noise.

"So when are you going to get married?" Shuzhen's mother asked.

"When we're ready," Shuzhen replied.

"If you know Robin is the one, there is no reason to wait," her mother said. "You even said 'when we're ready,' not 'when I'm ready'! I can talk to his parents if he is too shy to propose."

"Mama!" Shuzhen cried in shock. "PLEASE don't scare Robin's family by trying to set up an arranged marriage! They'll think you're trying to pressure me into something I don't want to do."

Soon enough it was time for everyone to make their way to Guilin for the GXT 400.

Even though it was Kai Qiang's home track, he had not always done well when he race here in NSSCRA. He tended to get very busy visiting everyone he knew, making publicity appearances for the local fans, and so on -- which left less time for race prep, practice, or just clearing his head.

For Tsering, Ongmu, Rinzi, and Zhu it was a familiar track where they had all raced in their IRACT careers, but it was not home. That meant less attention and fewer expectations from the local fans, but it also meant they were less familiar with the track and they had to think a bit harder about how to approach it.

Ongmu was up for the challenge, though. She'd just come back from a relaxing couple of days at her mountain home where she could enjoy the cool mountain air, roam freely across the open land without tripping over any people or running into the walls of man-made buildings, and roast and eat a whole yak. It was wonderful, and she returned to the NSSCRA circuit feeling rested, refreshed, and focused. She also had the benefit of being able to consult with TMW, who had a lot of technical data that they had collected from the various IRACT and NSSCRA drivers who raced TMWs at Li River Speedway. Being the most popular manufacturer in IRACT made it easy to collect that sort of data.

Right off the start, Ongmu was running well. The people doing TV coverage for Beihua made some offhand comments about it, but they still had no idea of what was coming.

Ongmu got shuffled back to 11th and most people watching the race expected her to stay there, but that is not what happened. For one thing, a couple of the people in front of Ongmu still needed to pit. And the others? Ongmu just caught up with them and found a way past -- sometimes giving them a little nudge to make room so she could pass, other times just taking a different line through one of the track's janky irregular turns.

Nobody, including Ongmu herself, had come into this race expecting the yeti to win -- but that is exactly what she did.

The victory celebrations were chaotic as a whole team of very excited yetis crowded into victory lane and let out their joyful roars.

The podium was crowded with both Ongmu and Anastasia being much larger than the average person. Ongmu went around hugging the people who came to congratulate her, and even lifted Lam Chow-Cheung up onto her shoulders so they could enjoy the celebrations without getting trampled under foot by all the yetis and Valentians.

Ongmu could not figure out how to open and drink from a champagne bottle without just smashing it, so she handed the bottle to Chris Holmes, who happened to be nearby.

The whole spectacle was ridiculous, but the media and the fans were loving it, and Ongmu could not have been more proud.

The Valentians – Race 20 – Main Series: Southside Bank 400, Halsted Raceway, Halsted, Wreckeria (Short Track); Everlong: CyberSpeed 300, Halsted Raceway, Halsted, Wreckeria (Short Track)

Exuberant Superintendent T-2000/2904-3 Surveillant Clarissa Alanis Star Breya « La Amoureux Chéri » Millie Taissa Butterfly Mélody Coraline Jolijn Trini Clementine Hollie Samantha Zeta Harumi was a little disappointed that she did not make it to the podium, but nonetheless, was already happy with her results as she is wont to do. After all, a 4th place on the short track, on top of Anastasia and Gwen at 7th and 8th respectively, were definitely one of the highlights. And of course, she also did not forget about the Gardeners who also did their best and in making sure that they do not DNF. All in all, it was a good effort by many, and especially for Gwen since she was often the one who would protest about going to a short track. She slowly made herself towards the crowd in order to reach the podium, and to offer Drake, Kai Qiang, and Michael a handshake, but definitely reserved on the matter of hugging.

An hour had passed since she made her way back to her lounge for a little bit of a R&R. Just then, she heard a knock on the door, though there was no signs of the door opening. Surely, she thought, if it was going to be Valentian, especially Valentijn, they are going to be able to open the door and allow themselves in. In short, Clarissa quickly put together that there was a guest outside of the door, but she was not sure as to who it could have been. There were a mix of optimistic and pessimistic thoughts that she started running in her mind, though most the optimistic thoughts naturally were dominant. “Hmm, maybe it’s the fans! Or just the other drivers wanting to talk to me!” she thought to herself with a smile, walking over to the door after quickly changing into her blue evening dress, one that complemented her light blue skin. “One moment!” she shouted as she unlocked the door, and then upon seeing who was on the other side, her smile grew a little bit more but not to the point of creepy. “Oooh, hello there! Jeremiah Brooke and Stacie Houston! What brings you here? Oh, please, do come in! I am more than happy to!”

The couple, after shaking hands with Clarissa, would then make their way into Clarissa’s lounge, which is similar to the lounges of the other drivers, just perhaps with her own artefacts and things, such as her charging modules, computers, and more importantly, a kitten calendar on the desk provided to her. “Would you like a drink? Water, or anything in mind?” she would offer her hospitality, then of course, followed by asking the question, “It is quite a good night for such a meeting and interaction! Now, please do tell me – what would you like to talk about with me?” Jeremiah and Stacie would, at that point, looked at each other in the eye, whispering a little bit to each other if needed, and then Jeremiah responding back to Clarissa, “We are kind of wondering if it is okay to own a property in Valentine Z. Well, nothing too expensive or extravagant. Maybe like a vacation home? Is that all right, Clarissa?”

Clarissa processed the thought for a few seconds. In her mind, it was definitely more than okay. She started pulling out the relevant files in her head, and then sending it out to a portable printer that she has deployed nearby, the printer making some humming noises and then printing the papers. “Just a moment, please!” Clarissa said and excused herself, bringing the pages of paper that she printed to present to the couple. “These are the more precise guidelines to us, BUT I do understand that this is something that you will need a concrete material instead of just my word of mouth! Anyway, Jeremiah and Stacie, my friends, the Valentian Law does allow for the non-Valentians to buy properties, that is no issue! Of course, there is a slightly expensive fee compared to the citizens so as to prevent overbuying. On top of that, all of the buyers, without exception, will have to abide by the limit of purchases that they can do. There is no arbitrary number to it, but as we have experienced in the Pre-Valentian Era from the database that I have, there were a lot of people back then who used to buy and exploit the housing market. Now, please don’t be mad at me, I am not saying that you guys are doing this, not at all!” Clarissa then paused for a while for the couple to take it in, and then continued on, “This law is to protect people like you exactly! To ensure that the normal everyday home buyers will not be deterred, or that they will have to go through some private housing agency. We, indeed, believe in affordable housing for all, and for the non-Valentians to enjoy this as well, of course.”

She paused for a little bit longer this time, perhaps prompting Jeremiah or Stacie to say their input as well. She asked them a question, “May I know what kind of house you guys have in mind? A mansion? A terrace? Apartment? The possibilities are endless!” Jeremiah seemed to have thought about the idea for a while, then this was followed by a response from him. “Well, we are not going to buy it right now, if that is all right,” to which Clarissa nodded attentively and interestingly, “We still need time to think and straighten some things out. With that said, how’s about a vacation home? Maybe somewhere in the Valentian countrysides?” Clarissa was delighted with such an idea; after all, she is also the type of person that loves that sort of thing. “That is absolutely lovely, yes! It will be great for you, your lovely wife here, and your kids! A vacation home, somewhere in the mountains or the woods, tame and docile wild animals, and a good balance of being off the grid but also with Valentian emergency services – such as medical, police, fire – nearby and within 10-15 minutes driving distance.” Clarissa explained on a little bit more for the couple, with the session lasting 10 minutes to slowly fill them in on what a Valentian life is like, and how they can fit in even as foreigners or buying a vacation home. “For us, a house is for life! And that includes vacation homes too! We do completely understand that sometimes things and life gets in the way or there will have to be changes, but for the most parts, we will be more than happy to accommodate with your house purchase, for we are never against individual house ownership. Please, do take your time!” Clarissa fidgeted around with her fingers, adjusting her ring as well as her watch (which, for her, is more of a decoration than an actual timekeeping piece).

In Valentine Z, with space and time travel being legal but limited to prevent abuse and unforeseen consequences, the people were only allowed to “access” the content of the internet systems all over the multiverse either through Gwen herself, or through her company of Timekeepers, a task force that ensures that timelines are checked and balanced, while also providing the Valentians with said content from every single universe they can think of. Case in point, with the large storage systems and technology that the Valentians have, they were able to store large archives of the internets from these worlds for the curious Valentians to access, all of them of course being aware of the fact that any presence they have in other worlds may have to be kept secret. “Some of the worlds accept you. Others are a bit indifferent. Others… they chase you down and try to kill you,” a Valentian space-time tourist said as a matter of factly. Additionally, as of recently, Valentians from all over the two planets were having quite a fun time sharing and discussing in their forums about one particular piece of document – a classified (to their world) report which was written in a rather informal manner. The document listed down 10 pieces of historical artifacts that the government has decided to hide away until they know what is actually going on. The document in particular talked about unexplained historical artifacts that were found in the excavations. 9 out of 10 items seemed to be particularly normal, the first one on the list – however, must have definitely spooked them. Here is the extract ad verbatim.

“… so those 9 artifacts that we have talked about so far must have had some sort of explanation, right? Sure, we don’t really know much about them, but at the very least, they fit into the historical context. This item, however, I swear I am not trying to bullshit you in an attempt to get more funding. To keep it short and a bit more formal, there was a candy wrapper found in an ancient city site, dating to 8000 years ago when it was dug. You people might be thinking to yourself – isn’t it just some litterbug’s work? Or was it by some archaeologist in a joking mood when they are not posing mummies like a cursed puppet from hell? No, I wish it is a prank, but it is not. The wrapper, as it turns out, has the same amount of Carbon-14 in it as the rest of the site. In other words, it implied that the candy wrapper existed 8000 years ago! Again, if the carbon dating turned out to be true. I don’t know what to make of this. The activity for that particular site got a lot more monitored, so nothing goes in and out without intensive supervision. And yet, that is the only wrapper that we have found. N & N, meaning “Nett und Nahrhaft” as it was on the package, also was written in modern-day German. And a company called N & N does NOT exist in our world. So… again, please excuse my language, but what the fuck are we looking at? May need psychiatric evaluation after this.”

The Gardeners – Race 20 – Main Series: Southside Bank 400, Halsted Raceway, Halsted, Wreckeria (Short Track); Everlong: CyberSpeed 300, Halsted Raceway, Halsted, Wreckeria (Short Track)

Vice Foresittend Jolyn Maxine Caulfield Moira “Неуловимая, Женщина-шпион” Marlene Wendy Lucille Lapis Jill Khorosheva Vin. Zolina łnt. Natasha Vasilisa Helen Ceeta Tescelyn Maximovna went back to Valentine Z, hanging out at one of the high-rise hotels and casinos in the country. The view was definitely extravagant, even at night the harmony of plants and buildings (a mix of glass skyscrapers with traditional ones) all dotting the city. On top of that, it made her even happier to see all the Valentians having a blast around her, all of them recognized her for whom she is, but they minded their own business out of respect for personal space. On top of that, they were also especially informal and lighthearted around even The Sixty; Valkyrie Valentijn, after all, didn’t want her and her friends to be feared, with Valentijn having succeeded in convincing so even when she is the size of a building. Going back to her own thoughts, Jolyn felt like she was getting the hang of it – sure, she was not doing as well, but being in Everlong, one where she was not being scrutinized by the larger Multiversal crowd or having to fight tooth and nail for her spot in a team and then throwing it all away. She felt that guilt, mainly because someone else was involved, and she did not like to burn bridges. Neither do the rest of the Valentians. She stared at the distance into the vast and clear sky, a drink in one of her hands but making sure that she was not going too tipsy, let alone drunk. “It’s a pretty relaxing life,” she thought to herself, pacing around the immediate area as she thought about schools.

Head Secretary Jamie Izabella Maxie Clara “The Elegant and Magnificent Mathematician” Pernella Ellie Natie Lexie Marie Valerie Ruby Æstriðr Fni. Clementine Millicent Lizbeth Alex Cass Eirian then walked towards her, wearing a smile and in her long evening dress. “Well, hello, my friend!” she started, “It is genuinely good to see you here too.” Jolyn nodded and gave her a hug, the two then strike off a bit of a conversation. “So, Jolyn, I suppose that you’re having quite a good time of yourself. I am happy to hear that! I am also happy that, well, I am assuming, but I think you are enjoying Everlong too, yes?” Jolyn nodded back with a reply, “Yeah, definitely. I mean, don’t get me wrong, sometimes I do miss the Multiversal, but I am way happier at where I am. It’s relatively casual and yet, there is still a bit of competition here and there, but it also leaves you with enough time for you to do everything else, like the schools. I love being able to check things back in Valentine Z more.” Jamie nodded in return, the two of them striking quite a conversation. Jolyn and Jamie, for the better parts, want to believe that they are simply just friends, and perhaps even close friends. They are not going to force a relationship on one another and are more than enough with respecting each other’s boundaries. Still, part of both of their minds, wondered if one day things might change.

“Jolyn, may I ask you something?” Jamie asked at that moment, Jolyn’s eyes slightly widening but her expression still subtle. “Sure, please do! You are my friend, Jamie, you can tell me anything!” Jamie nodded and then asked the question, “Do you sometimes feel like you have been in this for too long? I mean, please don’t get me wrong, I am not asking if you are tired of living or anything malicious of that sort. What I would like to simply ask is: Do you feel that there will be a time when you want to do something else other than motorsports only?” Jolyn thought about the question for a while, then replied back, “That day will come, but not anytime soon. I am sure that I will last longer than this. Your question isn’t offensive or anything like that, by the way, Jamie. Like I said… you can ask me anything. I am also just happy that you are here with us.” The two hugged it out and looked at the skyline, perhaps thinking of what to do next. A girls’ night out, just the two of them going around the shopping malls, not like a stereotype, but Jamie and Jolyn in particular simply loving the window shopping, a more than welcomed R&R session.

Li River Speedway, Guilin, Guangxi Territory, The Sherpa Empire
After the Guangxi Telecom 400
More than anything else, Chris Holmes wanted to see what kind of victory lane celebration a group of yetis could pull off. Following the race, he looked over and saw Ongmu Yeti and her crew celebrating their first NSSCRA win, he decided to waltz over, try to congratulate the yeti (and hope nothing got lost in translation) and go on his merry way. And he wasn’t the only Hapiloppian to join in the celebration. Drake Stevenson and Taylor Henderson had come over, as had a few members of Team Blue.

If anything, it was about the most adorable victory lane celebration they had ever seen. The yetis were obviously pleased as punch, giving out mighty roars of delight as they celebrated theirs and Ongmu’s first career NSSCRA win, a win that, to be perfectly honest, nobody saw coming. Nobody expected – at least in Hapilopper – that the adorable yeti from the Sherpa Empire would contend for race victories, much less actually win one. And it presented an interesting – and hilarious – aside as Doug Goodman and his camera crew from the Hapilopper Television Network – started to approach the yetis.

Not sure what to say, he walked over to Drake Stevenson, standing off to the side.

“So, how do I approach this?” Goodman asked. “I mean, do they speak English?”

Drake looked over at the reporter and chuckled.

“I am fairly sure they do not,” Drake said. “Matter of fact, I think they communicate in their own way that is, you know, standard fare for yetis.”

“Like… what?” Goodman asked.

“They growl,” Drake said. “You’re not gonna hear any ‘Fuck Yeahs’ or any ‘Attaboys’, you’re gonna hear loud roars. I don’t think yetis speak. They growl. I mean, you can interview the yetis if you want, probably going to make for some great television, but I don’t think you’re going to get much in the way of a response. Don’t take it personally.”

Behind Drake and Goodman, the camera crew started recording the Yeti team celebrating their well-deserved first win, as Goodman started hearing something in his ear.

“Drake said they probably can’t speak, they just growl,” Goodman said into the voice barking in his ear. “Yeah, we’ll just get shots of them and I’ll call what’s going on here.”

So the cameras were rolling as Ongmu Yeti picked Lam Chow-Cheung up and put them on her shoulders. The image of Lam Chow on Ongmu’s shoulders was, at least to Hapiloppian fans, the enduring image coming from the race in the Sherpa Empire, and photographs of the two made the front page of the sports pages in newspapers across Hapilopper the next morning. Meanwhile, Chris Holmes, standing off to the side, watched with wonderment at Ongmu tried opening a bottle of champagne. It seemed like Ongmu must have spotted Chris watching, so she handed the bottle to Chris – something he wasn’t expecting.

“Oh, OK!” Chris said with a surprised tone of voice. “I’ll help you get it open!”

Chris figured this job probably needed smaller hands, so he started working on the bottle to give to the huge yeti that had just beaten everyone. When he got it opened – trying to take care not to send champagne flying everywhere – as he didn’t want to spray it and take that away from the actual winner of the race – Chris handed the bottle back to Ongmu, gave a thumbs up and stepped back. This was a situation where the Hapiloppians just wanted to watch the spectacle – and what a spectacle it was, where the yetis had scored their first NSSCRA win and were celebrating in kind. It was the kind of spectacle the Hapiloppians loved, and similar to the way the Team Blue crew was reacting, the Hapiloppians back home were reacting about the same way, thoroughly enjoying the victory celebration.

A few hours later, the mood among the Hapiloppians was a little south of the delight the yetis were feeling. The Hapiloppians had gotten on the plane to go home, and while the team had finished all in the top ten, and while all three were in the top eight leading up to the next Chase cutoff, there was something within the team that was bothering them. It had nothing to do with anything on track. It had everything to do with a music video that had come out the weekend of the race in Guilin.

Drake Stevenson and Taylor Henderson had made it a point to not watch the video, but some members of the team had, and didn’t like it in the slightest. While Drake or Taylor were not explicitly mentioned by name, the video gave off a vibe to these team members that it was, indeed, a reference to Taylor’s recent pregnancy announcement. And while it may have had good intentions, the fact was that it didn’t go over well among any of the crew members that had seen it.

The morning of the race, Drake had been met by a couple of Team Blue crew members who quietly told him that if he wanted to beat the hell out of Ilya Tsunopin for the video, they would help him do it.

“What are you talking about?” Drake asked the crew members.

“That video,” a crew member said. “I, uh, don’t think you want to watch it.”

“Is it offensive?” Drake asked. “Am I referenced?”

“Well, word in the garage is it’s about you and Hendo,” the crew member replied. “And it’s bad. Really, really cringeworthy.”

“I’m not going to beat the hell out of someone for cringe,” Drake responded. “But if it’s about me and Hendo, I’m going to make sure our lawyers see it.”

And Drake was serious about that. He had called a Monday afternoon meeting with his attorneys in the Team Blue shop to figure out if this “Mistakes into Miracles” video was worthy of a “cease and desist” order or any other legal action – or if it was worth contacting NSSCRA and filing a formal complaint.

At least he hasn’t popped out of a cake trying to seduce me, Drake thought, and a strange look formed on his face. Poor Qiang. Maybe I should talk to him and see what I should do.

On the lower deck of the Team Blue Shuttle, where pit crew members, support staff and others sat for the flight, most everyone were watching the video, and the response was almost universal derision. On the upper deck, where crew chiefs, drivers and their families sat, one could hear the heckling and profanities coming from down below. This was not normal for a flight back home. Usually, everyone flying home from a place like the Sherpa Empire were trying to get some shut-eye before they returned home to Hapilopper City.

Al Shelton, getting frustrated with the noise down below, got out of his seat and made his way downstairs to try to quiet everyone down.

“Alright, you stupid sons of bitches, there’s people trying to sleep upstairs and… what in the blue blasted hell are you guys watching?” Al asked.

“That Ilya Tsunopin music video,” one crew member said. “This is horrible.”

Al watched the video on a crew member’s cell phone as others huddled around him. Almost immediately, Al’s mood went from anger with his crew members to annoyance… cringe… and then to disgust as he watched the video.

“That’s supposed to be about Drake and Hendo,” a crew member shouted out.

“Aight, I’ll warn Stevenson when I go back up,” Al responded.

When Al went back up to the upper deck, Drake was sound asleep in his seat, he and Hendo snuggled together in their seats. Al poked at Drake’s leg, trying to get him to wake up. He was wearing headphones and had no idea of the riotous mayhem going on downstairs.

“What is it?” Drake mumbled as he woke up from his slumber.

“I saw that video,” Al grimly told his lead driver. “If you have any lawyers, talk to them.”

“I’ve got a meeting set for after our weekly meeting,” Drake mumbled. “I was warned the other day. Thinking of calling Qiang up this week and asking him for advice. I’ll tell you more later.”

Drake pulled the headphones back over his ears and fell back asleep. Al shrugged and went back to his seat.

NSSCRA 14 | Round 22 Preview: Tropicoast Beach Course

Tropicorp 500, Tropicoast Beach Course, Tropicoast, Tropicorp

Tropicoast Beach Course :: Information

About the Track:
Image

Track Location: Tropicoast, Tropicorp, Atlantian Oceania
Track Record: 107.561s ( Anavella Ariiki, NSSCRA 8 )
Track Lap Length: 4.1 Mile

Image Image

Image Image

The race begins on the Tropicorp Motorway; an access road that runs along the coast connecting different primary areas of the Tropicorp campus, Tropicoast itself and nearby facilities. While it is typically considered a two lane road and racing will be tight on the paved main straightway when compared with the compacted sand on the back straightaway, drivers should be able to fit three-across without having to dip their wheels into the sand. Not too far down the road past the start finish line is the original Tropicorp headquarters building which now serves as the Tropicorp visitor center. The iconic Tropicorp sign surrounded by Palm Trees can still be seen and will provide an excellent photo backdrop particularly for the Team Tropicorp cars. The Tropicorp Visitor Center will also serve as the site of the Tropicorp Pit Crew Competition taking place prior to the Tropicorp 500.

Image Image

After passing the Tropicorp Visitor Center the road will begin to bend into an elbow as drivers will begin setting themselves up for the big curve and the transition off the paved surface. There is still plenty of room to pass after the elbow, however as drivers scream down one of the longest paved straightaways in motorsports. As drivers approach the Dart billboard they will begin to see the big curve climbing into the sky in the distance and will need to begin preparing themselves for braking to set up for the difficult transition from the paved surface to the compacted sand.

Image Image

As drivers prepare to make the big left hand curve off the paved surface, any drivers who brake too late or have an issue with their cars will have two options. Drivers may opt to continue straight down the paved road through the lightweight swing signs marking the end of the racing surface if they have an issue with their car and are not planning to continue in the race. Otherwise, drivers who miss the entry to the corner should still be able to make the turn and scrub speed as they climb the banking with the brakes applied. Some drivers may choose to climb the banking purposely to carry additional speed both into and out of the large turn installed by the Tropicorp locals both as a safety measure to allow cars to scrub speed off after flying down the nearly two-mile long paved straightaway.

Image Image

While drivers will have been mostly constrained to a 2-3 lane wide paved surface on the front straightaway in order to maintain maximum grip and speed, once they exit from the big curve they will open up into a wide open straight of compacted sand that will allow half the field to spread out and battle side by side if need be. The compacted sand is of slightly different color than the un altered natural beach sand and drivers will know the difference if they stray too close to the water line, though there is plenty of room for error on the racing surface before a driver would be in danger of going off into the unprepared surface. The inside of the course opens up to allow a pitlane before the tight, flat curve at the start/finish end of the course.

Image Image

Unlike the big curve at the other end of the course, drivers will not be able to carry a lot of speed into the flat curve and anyone that does may find themselves into the orange guard rail fencing and out of the event. By far the slowest part of the course, the flat curve will allow fans in the grandstands an opportunity to see all the cars and take nice pictures with the large Tropicorp billboards in the background at the center of curvature. As drivers exit the curve it will be a race to regain traction on the paved surface - taking a wider exit may allow contact patch with the pavement sooner but will increase distance traveled and may result in a slick paved surface due to kick back from the compacted sand. Taking a tighter exit to the turn may result in slower entry speed but a cleaner more natural transition back to the paved surface for the spring back to the finish line just meters ahead.

Image

Fan Access:

Fans will watch the race from the large Main Grandstand at the flat curve and a series of smaller grandstands along the front straightaway on either side of the Start/Finish line. There will be 'Campground' style access in the center of the course however there is no entry/exit from the center of the course when the race is under green flag conditions. There will be an employee-only viewing party at the Tropicorp Visitors Center while fans will also be able to utilize grandstands along the front straightaway at the transition to the Big Curve.

FanZone Information
Pit Crew Challenge :: Tropicorp Racing Supply will host their 'Pit Crew Challenge" outside the flat curve where fans will be able to test their ability to change an NSSCRA tyre or act as the fuel person so long as they first sign a release form indemnifying Tropicorp of any injury that may occur as they attempt to set the fast times in the challenge. Participants may also enter Tropicorp's Pit Crew Challenge Promotion on Practice and Qualifying Day where the fastest competitors could get invited to pit the #42 Tropicorp Racing Supply Dart of Euroli Islander during the Tropicorp NSSCRA Pit Crew Competition.

Cocoabo Zone & "Meet the Techie" Exhibit :: The Cocoabo Preservation Society will be on hand with a special Cocoabo Zone in the area outside the front straightaway past the Start-Finish line where trained Cocoabo will be on hand demonstrating some of their skills. Cocoabo Enrichment and Enhancement Project trainers will be on hand with their Cocoabo to discuss some of their training methods.

Cocoa-bo :: Delectable company Cocoa-bo will be on hand with a 'spin the wheel' and sample tent where fans can sample some Cocoa-bo product as well as purchase items for sale. Fans can also line up to spin the wheel for prizes including spinners, sunglasses and magnets with the Cocoa-bo logo on them.

twii.tur :: twii.tur will have 3 locations around the speedway where fans can have their picture taken and instantly delivered via twii.tur from inside the stock cars of Cocoabo #28 or the special #98 @CocoaboPark Dart that Jixaka Motorai drives in the Everlong Contenders Series as well as the World Grand Prix Championship car driven by TJUN-ia's Lane Carter during the recently completed World Grand Prix Championship season.

Toys '4' All, Visit TI, Arcticala Electrical, the Dart Group and Vilaye Energy Drink are among other entities also expected to participate in the fanzone with information kiosks or small sales tables as well as a selection of foreign entities including Five Star Mobile of Cassadaigua who will likely have a large display featuring their products and activities in support of the Five Star Combo.

Tropicorp Racing Supply 250 / Tropicorp Sifaka 300K

It will be a busy week of action at the Tropicoast Beach Course where the Tropicorp track will host the triple-header weekend with the Everlong Contenders Series getting an early start on Saturday followed by the AOCAR Stock Car Series in a double header day of racing action. The first Everlong Contenders Series event at the Tropicoast Beach Course was the Tropicorp Sifaka 300K during NSSCRA Season 10. That race was won by Team Cassadaigua's #27 Maddie Alexander. After the merger of Team Cassadaigua and Team Tropicorp, Alexander is now a Team Tropicorp driver in the Multiversal Cup Series and will be looking to leverage her positive record at the track to gain her first ever Multiversal Cup Series checkered flag. The Tropicoast Beach Course was left off the Everlong Contenders Series schedule during NSSCRA Season 11 being replaced by the inaugural AOCAR Stock Car Series race which took over the Tropicorp Sifaka 300K Moniker. With both events running the same weekend this season, the AOCAR Stock Car Series race will retain the Tropicorp Sifaka 300K naming while the Everlong Contenders Series Race will be the Tropicorp Racing Supply 250 - a longer race with a smaller number in its title. Last Season's NSSCRA Everlong Contenders series event was won by #20 Daryl Calhoun racing for Skip Stiller of Saint Kanye. Novorali Enterprises driver Turakki Mayelli had sat on the pole position. Tropicorp's own Anavella Ariiki was the winner of the AOCAR Tropicorp Sifaka 300K in a Team Tropicorp sweep after Cocoabo #78 had earned their first career AOCAR Pole Position.

The Five Star Combo is a special program that historically runs at Five events on the NSSCRA Calendar and awards an increasingly large bonus to any driver who can win multiple of the five events, with a $2,000,000 Bonus for any driver who can with three of the five races, $3,000,000 to a driver who wins four of the five races and a massive bonus of $10,000,000 should any driver claim victory in all 5 Five Star Combo events.

Furthermore, each Five Star Combo event will also produce a 'Five Star Five' - the Top 5 finishers in that event who will then be eligible for a $1,000,000 bonus should they win the next Five Star Combo event on the schedule. In order for fans to more easily determine which drivers are eligible for the Five Star Five or Five Star Combo bonuses, participating drivers may opt to run pink Spoilers, Roof Numbers and a special Five Star Combo overlay on the front windshield of the car.

There will be two Team Tropicorp drivers competing for the Five Star Combo bonus in the Tropicorp 500 as both #1 Maddie Alexander and #2 Centur Tiones finished inside the Top 5 at the last Five Star Combo event, the Vilaye Energy Drink 314 at the Vilitan Mountain Challenge Course. This will be the first time that the Tropicorp 500 is contested as part of the Multiversal Chase for the Cup and the event at the Tropicoast Beach Course will serve as the final cutoff event for the Round of 12.

NSSCRA SEASON 14 :: FIVE STAR COMBO

Team Tropicorp is expected to field five cars in the Tropicorp 500 with two drivers from the Everlong Contenders Series stepping up for double duty on the weekend. Cocoabo #37 and Jixaka Motorai will both be competing in the Tropicorp 500 and there will be a massive prize on the line for the duo. The higher finishing of the two in front of the sponsor representatives at the Tropicoast Beach Course will earn the right to continue driving in the Multiversal Cup Series for the remainder of the season for Team Tropicorp - So long as they also finish in the Top 25. With both drivers having already been eliminated from the Everlong Contenders Series playoffs in the first round, there will be no major distractions for either driver as they look to impress at the Multiversal Cup Series level knowing that at least one of Team Tropicorp's three full time seats is expected to be available for NSSCRA Season 15. With the #37 already in use this season by the Dod Rava team, Cocoabo #37 will retain the primary #3 for Team Tropicorp in the Tropicorp 500 with sponsorship from Tropicorp Racing Supply. Jixaka Motorai will continue using the #00 that she has used in the Multiversal Cup Series for a handful of seasons and Motorai will once again have sponsorship from the Inura Tea company in partnership with twii.tur. Both drivers will have their regular Everlong Contenders Series pit crews servicing their Multiversal Cup Series Cars all weekend.

Sherpa race weekend in the NSSCRA is always a treat, not just for drivers already in the NSSCRA, but those from different other racing series around the world as well. Every time the series holds a race in this beautiful country, every team knows to hold off requesting an open charter or two, because it's the Cup outsiders' time to shine and be known. From AOCAR drivers, locals from IRACT, competitors from various domestic leagues, and iBen Toralmintii (who seems to be proficient in anything with an engine and thus is his own category) it's everyone's goal to be one of the top two finishers in the Rumble at the Rice Fields in Guilin, and thus earn one of the two open spots in the main event, the Guangxi Telecom 400.

Among those hopefuls are the two Yeezie teams in AOCAR, the punnily but aptly-named Beiyond Motorsports and the team owned by the Cup Series' most famous power couple, Houston-Brooke Racing. A Yeezie has not won a Sherpa qualifying race since Max Gannon (now mayor of some town back in St. Kanye) several seasons ago, and each of the six drivers between the two teams have been looking to break that streak.

Let's focus first on Beiyond, a relatively new team who's been living in the shadow of the more established HBR stable. Joel McMillan and Tommy Romero are the veterans of this group and have their focus solely on racing and nothing more, in contrast to newcomer Riana Cordell who seems to be filling her schedule with extracurricular activities such as photo shoots, TV appearances, and even participating in the recently concluded Bowl AO (a bowling competition, not to be confused with the AO Bowl, which is gridiron). None of them unfortunately made the cut for the 45-driver Rumble field, and to the annoyance of both Tommy and Joel, Riana's qualifying effort, while fruitless, was still better than theirs. "How many challengers are there again? 89? Maybe they should have put in one more driver to make two full fields, held two races, and crowned two winners to get those two charters," Joel said. "Yeah, give more of us a chance, let us show what we can do beyond quals," Tommy added. Still, they decided to stay and watch the race, just to see what the drivers who made it in have been doing right, and pick up some pointers for their AOCAR campaigns and future Rumble appearances.

Houston-Brooke Racing, in contrast, had all three of its drivers be part of the event, all of them hoping to do well enough to impress their team owners Jeremiah and Stacie, not to mention get the chance to race against them on Sunday.

Let's start first with the charismatic Gavin Ogden, who had the best qualifying time of the HBR trio, earning himself the twelfth starting spot on the grid. He also had the best performance for his team - though he had to pit early for tire problems and lose a lap, he was able to regain that lap under green, climb to the top ten, and stay there until the checkered flag. Unfortunately though, while tenth place is something respectable and even impressive in any other context, it wasn't enough for him to get an open charter, because remember, anything outside the top two didn't matter during this specific race. Of course Gavin was disappointed, but eventually cheered up enough to decide to take a tour of the famously breathtaking Sherpa countryside with his crew.

Former AOCAR champ Glen Reid was happy to be able use #1 for the Rumble, since his usual #3 was taken by a local, and "that Oontaznik Cup reject" decided not to participate. He qualified 32nd and finished way better than that on 14th, which was good on paper but disappointing in actuality. Glen stayed mostly mid-pack, not leading any laps nor even running in the top ten. He got as close as eleventh late in the race, but got passed by three cars in seven laps to give him his final finishing position. Unlike Gavin, he mingled with the locals in a different way - dropping by a bar close to the track and drinking himself... well, drunk.

Last but not least, there's dirt track sensation and one-time Berman Brothers Classic winner Jill Singletary, who started a row behind Gavin in 13th. She was the most unsatisfied with her performance among the three, as she found herself dropping like a stone quickly and early, and getting lapped not even past the halfway point. She would eventually settle for a lowly 28th, several laps down, "I told myself before the race to imagine I'm back at the Berman," she said, "but as you can see, that didn't work." She went back to her inn to unwind, first at the spa, then at her room watching TV, where she would eventually catch that silly movie with the evil bloodthirsty race car in it.

Chase II/2, Part 2 - Rise Of The Giants

This blog was written by Derrick Carlisle, Jaguar Racing's Social Media Manager
Home of the Season X ECS and Season 13 MCS Champions

The Guangxi Telecom 400 was expected to be a symbolic race, one in a picturesque setting we all know and love and one that marked the halfway point of the Chase process as a whole. Guilin always like to deliver when it is placed under the spotlight of the Chase and we expected things to be no different this time...but would anyone join Drake Stevenson into the next Act of this journey? Before we start...no, I'm not going to comment on 'Mistakes Into Miracles' - that is a mistake that my eyes are never going to take back.

Three drivers didn't make it to the end this time including one of the open charters in Leo Baxter. The other open charter, Cocoabo #23, ended up in a strong P36 but was certainly behind the best of the non-charters - Anna Star Joy Thanda Pwint Thinzar Nwe in P13. As for those drivers we do take a kind interest in, it certainly was an interesting race for everyone. Aurélia Karvonen would actually finish a race this time, coming home in P27, while the JR gang all had a good drive out there - with Alfonso "Cyclone" Mercado (@AM64) coming home in P15, Michael "Kaiser" Stefan (@Stefan07) in P8 and Maddison Riley-Jones (@MaddyRJ03) in P7. But the real story was Lam Chow-Cheung, who certainly had a great day up towards the front and ended up on one of the wackiest podiums of all time - with Ongmu Yeti claiming her first ever win over Anastasia Freya Yadana Aye and the unmasked enby in an non-Chaser podium that certainly looked wacky on camera. Seeing LCC look like an ant compared to Yeti and Aye was certainly a peculiar sight, but one which turned into a brilliant one after Ongmu popped LCC onto he shoulders and allowed them to celebrate up there...a moment that will forever be incased in time. If there was an image that would be the cover of the Season Review, it would be that one...and it was glorious.

And so, we are nearing the end of this 2nd Act...but we have a familiar track still left to cover, though one...out of place. Usually, Tropicoast was the race before the TJUN 600 - the Race at the Beach before we headed out to the Jungle - but now, the Tropicorp Sifaka 300K and the Tropicorp 500 itself will be a Chase cutoff race - one familiar but also one eagerly anticipated. How this track will fare in Cutoff conditions is a question no one really knows how to answer...but it's going to be funny as all hell trying to figure that out.

Halsted was both fun and not as entertaining for HM as their end-of-season program seemed as unpredictable as you could imagine when T2 is in the playoffs and T1 is certainly not. With the late split certainly shaking travel plans up, how would both sides do in their respective racetracks?

T2
HMT2 headed out to Quebec ja Shingoryeo for the inaugural Quebecom 600 at Baie-Verte, a 40-second Speedway ready to host the stars of the series. Kaarina Salo certainly did alright by qualifying in P12 and ending up in P14 though once again, the main efforts were focused on Ilmari Pëkannen and his quest to make it as deep as possible into the T2 Chase. You could certainly feel the confidence flowing within him at this precious time and he would use it to great effect in this weekend's proceedings, qualifying in P5 and ending up in P8 in a race which saw another non-Chaser, Patricia nic Neill, take the win. All this madness meant that heading into the final race in Tropicorp, Ilmari will actually lead the fucking points standings - a position a HM driver hasn't been in since Salo won the 1st race of last season. That was cool...but an early retirement would mean that the prognosis wasn't looking good for Axel Chase, so Ilmari decided to go over to JRT2 and see if he was doing OK. Cue more eyebrow-raising by Salo but Chase certainly appreciated the gesture.

T1
The big guns, meanwhile, were over in the famous Li River Speedway for the famous Guangxi Telecom 400. Kimi-Suomi's rally drivers, Laila Raatikainen and Pehr Henrik Blomqvist, managed to collect some valuable data for the team through their exploits in the Rumble in the Rice Fields, so there was a little bit of confidence in the air when it came time for the NSSCRA proceedings to get underway. Aurélia Karvonen would, once again, qualify highest in P19 but unlike the previous few races, the Vuohi actually managed to make it to the chequered flag this time and would come home in P27. It's a small step towards the great high she wants to be at in the future, but it's certainly a start.

The real story, of course, lay with the masked enby of Lam Chow-Cheung. This season hasn't exactly been the best for the dude but while missing out on the Chase party still stung a bit, the pain was numbing away as efforts focused on getting ready for a better run next season. They would qualify in P21 and produce one of the races they have been known to produce on their good days, one where they are consistently towards the front before moving towards the very front right near the end. This is exactly what happened here as while Ongmu Yeti claimed her first win and Anastasia Freya Yadana Aye claimed 2nd, it would be Lam who completed the non-Chaser podium in 3rd...and they were ecstatic with that result. There were certainly hugs handed out during the post-race celebrations, but it was only on the podium that everyone realised the dynamics at play - the two giants on the podium, Ongmu and Aye, made the enby look like an ant in that P3 spot. They wanted to give both giants a hug, but they also didn't want to be stepped on by accident...which would probably break their spine. Luckily, the Yeti recognised this and actually placed Lam on her own shoulders, allowing them to celebrate without any real fear. That allowed them to give a hug to both of them before posing to the crowds, the pictures of that moment flying all over the multiverse. Once the moment was complete, Lam thanked the Yeti with a bow of respect...while later, they requested that a copy of that image be sent to them as soon as possible. That image, while not signifying a win, would be going up on the wall in their apartment - a lasting memory of one of the most magical moments they were ever a part of.

@VTRacer

It will need to be a massive day at the track for the Novorali Enterprises drivers as Lotara Novorali and Rockii Ezis are 30+ points below the cut line and will need a win to advance to the Round of 8. Similar story for @Yraaga41 who is on the outside looking in - but the Tropicorp backed driver knows how to get it done as the defending #Tropicorp500 champion..

NSSCRA 14 :: Tropicorp Pit Crew Competition

Postby Tropicorp » Wed May 31, 2023 12:12 am

Cars will line up in Turn 4 and await their turn before passing the S/F line and entering the Tropicorp Visitor Center Special Competition Pit Road

Rules:
Teams are required to change both left-and right-side tires and empty a full load of fuel into the car using up to 2 cans. The timer begins when the nose of the vehicle breaks the plane of the pit box and ends when the rear tires have exited the pit box. All violations, unless otherwise noted, will incur a penalty of 2 seconds added to the time of the pit stop.

Penalties:
1. Crew members over the wall prior to vehicle passing the designated marker

2. Car running over jack

3. Car running over or under air hose or air wrench

4. Each Tire rolling uncontrolled outside of painted pit box

5. Any lug nut not secured by at least 80 foot pounds of torque

6. Any cross-threaded lug nut

7. Air gun handed or tossed between crew members

8. Pushing a car that is under power

9. Any tire not returned to inside half of pit box prior to vehicle departure

10. Jackman swinging the jack in an uncontrolled manner in transit or handing to another crew member

11. Equipment attached to the car when exiting the pits

12. Dropping any fueling equipment during the pitstop

13. More than 1 litre of fuel remaining in fuel cans (combined)

14. Crew member performing a job they were not registered to conduct (5 seconds per)

Drivers will take the track in the inverse order of the current NSSCRA Owners Point Standings. There will be two pit boxes in use during the competition allowing one team to set up their pit box while a different team is conducting their pit stop. The pit entry cone is adjusted accordingly for each competitor depending on which of the two pit boxes are in use for that round. After exiting the pit box and re-entering the main straightaway of the Tropicoast Beach Course, drivers must bring the vehicle to a complete stop in the Inspection Area where NSSCRA and Tropicorp officials will inspect the vehicle to ensure there are no infractions such as Loose or Cross-Threaded Lugnuts. There will also be an inspector in the Pit area to weigh fuel cans and monitor for other infractions. Some teams may opt to use back up cars for the Pit Crew competition opposed to their Tropicorp 500 primary cars which will be busy getting prepared for Happy Hour practice. Drivers who are not using Tropicorp Sifaka tires for the Tropicorp 500 race weekend are permitted to bring their own tires for the competition. Teams will also be permitted to use the Tropicorp Sifaka tires on hand in the special competition pit area at the Tropicorp Visitor Center instead of bringing over a set of their race tires from the Garage area opposite the main straightaway in the track's infield.

The Top 33 Teams in the Standings were invited to compete in addition to 3 Tropicorp Select Entries, #37, #00 and #42 (Fan's Team Car)

"You know, we always enter every race weekend hoping for the best, but planning for the worst. To be in the situation I am in right now, that's on me and there's no one else I'm gonna blame. Of course there's one race left in this round to make things right and pull myself up above the dreaded cut line, but that's something easier said than done. There's no one among those ahead of me that didn't deserve to be there, and who will just let their guard down especially as we head into such a crucial part of the round. But I'll work my hardest, this whole team will. If I make it past the round, I'll be grateful. If not, I won't quit. Either way, I'll never stop improving and keeping the dream of a title alive, whether in this season, or any other after it.

Long story short, I am disappointed how I did today. But just as I'm the one who got myself into this mess, I'll be the one to try and get myself out of it too."

While Jeremiah Brooke was indeed disappointed by his 22nd place run at the Guangxi Telecom 400 in Sherpaland, one that saw him fall to ninth among the twelve remaining contenders for the NSSCRA's Chase for the Multiversal Cup, it didn't show much, if at all, in his voice. He spoke to the people present during the post-race press conference clearly and with the confidence of a man known for not easily losing his cool. Jeremiah does worry about things, but they are mostly things that he cannot control, the most recent example being last week when his wife Stacie Houston crashed out of the Southside Bank 400 in Wreckeria.

Despite starting the GXT 400 on pole, Jeremiah could not and did not get overconfident. From his fellow Chasers fighting to stay alive in the title hunt, to the rest of the field just racing for pride, everywhere he looked, there was a fierce battle. Of course he got into the thick of it, but just as he was able to fend off challengers for position at times, other times he got shuffled out, shoved aside, and even spun (which he thankfully saved). And yes, apart from a few annoyed grunts and instances of and "Aw, come on!" he mostly kept his composure as he soldiered on, and upon crossing the start/finish line ahead of River Suzgar but behind Yraaga Gilli'i, he even took the time to say "Well, at least the car's in one piece."

Image

"Well, it was nice to have gotten a good finish here, it's something we need very badly given the terrible way last week's race had ended for us. Yes, remaining in last among the Chasers does suck, but even though we're still in a hole, it's not as deep as the one we'd be in if we had a poor performance like the one we got last week, right? Here's hoping for an even better performance next week so that my efforts here today won't be wasted. Given the stakes and the level of competition from my, well, competitors, surely it will be very difficult. But impossible? I believe not."

Stacie sounded as calm as her husband, maybe even optimistic, once it was her turn to speak at the presser. She may have just come off a tenth place finish with 13 of 200 laps led, but it didn't make a dent in her position in the point standings, remaining in dead last among the twelve playoff drivers no thanks to the incident she got caught in during the Wreckerian race. "Me and Jeremiah, we're coming into next week on the outside looking in. I don't know exactly what will happen at that race, but there's one thing I do know, and that is that both of us will do anything and everything we can, within the rules of course, to be among those who actually are in."

Image

Neither of the couple wanted to end their visit to Sherpaland with bad memories, so after the presser, the two of them decided to go to some hill near the track, and just sit and watch the beautiful Guilin sunset and later the stars. Aside from their plans for the next race, they talked about many things: the vacation home in Valentine Z that they're planning to buy; the Chase Cutter test drive that Jeremiah is still trying to convince Stacie to attend alongside him; their son Jericho, who's back home in St. Kanye with Jeremiah's parents; Koshiro Kawai and Wilma von Cärinthen's newborn son Ludwig Friedrich, and whether he'd end up as a friend and/or racing rival to "Little J" in the future; their AOCAR operation, Houston-Brooke Racing, and its three drivers' quests to earn a title in their series; even stuff on television like the latest episode of Yakman, Mayhem's new advert, and that movie with the evil car. Something that didn't come up in conversation was Drake Stevenson, Taylor Henderson and the family they're building together - the press, the fans and even some of the other drivers already blab about it a lot anyway.

Thea Alvarez was the only one among the Gale Force Racing trio who remained above the cut line after the race, her 12th place effort (with five laps led) placing her a solid fourth in points. "Gotta be cautious though," she told the press. "Just as my teammates are banking on the chance that they could still make the Round of Eight if they perform well next week, I haven't removed the possibility in my mind that I could still miss out if I perform poorly, and that's something I'll try to avoid. Anything can happen, after all." She winked at the end of her statement, giving the indication that there might be something she's happy about, something she would later confirm upon revealing that she was part of the music video for her boyfriend (and fellow racer) Ilya Tsunopin's new song "Mistakes into Miracles".

"It's a really special song, you guys should give it a listen. Ilya really put his heart and effort into it," she spoke. This got the gathered mass of people talking amongst themselves, likely about the song, meanwhile Thea said to herself: "If only the amount of attention Ilya puts into his songs, or his fanfics, was the same amount as he puts into his racing, I'm sure he'd be a solid threat each week, but oh well..."

With Jeremiah and Stacie having gone up that hill near the track, Thea decided to go over to Ilya's hauler instead to ask if he wanted to do something with her, maybe head to town for some food or take a hike in the countryside. Her falling out with Kai Qiang and the fact that she was unpopular among locals didn't do anything to change the fact that Sherpaland, and especially Guilin, was one of her favorite parts of the NSSCRA schedule, aside from the home races in Jalton and Kardashia of course.

Now let's go to Daryl Calhoun, the Yeezie driver for Newmanistan's Rocket Motorsports. He finished a lowly 28th, but at this point in the season, he was confident that this team is the place for him for the foreseeable future. So much in fact that when he got back to the shop, he immediately talked to some of the team staff, asking if he could meet Rocket's bosses at the headquarters when they fly back to Newmanistan. When they asked why, Daryl simply said that he wanted to extend his contract for next season and hopefully deliver better results, maybe more top tens, maybe even a win. Yes, the team may not have visited victory lane since eight seasons ago, but while Daryl was not ensuring that he's the man to take them back there, he didn't completely rule out the possibility either. After all, even though he's living and working for the sky blue and white, his heart still belongs to the purple and lime, who strongly believe that anything can happen.

CHELSEA TAYLOR FANS LASH OUT

Last night, the fourth Tropicorp Pit Crew Competition took place at the Tropicorp Beach Course, and this is always a fun event which is widely anticipated. After all, these men and women are just as valuable to any race team, and play a major role in the success or failure of a race team. This is something that Newmanistanian fans of Rocket Motorsports are well aware, and those supporters of Chelsea Taylor were especially vocal after seeing what happened on the beach, taking to twii'tur or other social media outlets. Here is a selection of comments that were made:

"Folks, we now know why Rocket Motorsports sucks!"

"Why does Chelsea always finish so badly? It's kind hard when your pit crew is five to seven seconds slower than most of the others in the sports, especially the top tier drivers!"

"Hey, Amanda McAlister, bring us some competent pit crew members please! How can we be so bad?"

"So, in looking at the results of Chelsea's pit crew in the competition, I have to wonder if they just had a bad day, so I looked at the metric for past races. No, that's par for the course for those people. What the hell is Chelsea supposed to do? And the 5 wasn't much better."

Time wise, Chelsea's crew had the second slowest stop, beating only the crew of the 55. Overall, the team also defeated the 99 team, because of the penalties assessed to the Ricky Lee team. However, Chelsea's crew was not penalty free, either, with the team being guilty of having more than one litre of fuel in the cans afterward. This, too, was noticed by people on twii'tur.

"Not even penalty free. Slow as hell, and we can't even get the damn car full!"

"Gee, no wonder Chelsea seems to always have to pit early. They don't know how to fill up the car properly."

"I mean, really, it's a competition. You're already taking your sweet time, and you don't even get the car completely full?"

Chelsea herself did not throw her crew under the bus when she was asked about their performance. She took the high road in her comments to the media, but you have to wonder what she is really feeling inside. This kind of performance on pit road cannot continue to happen if Rocket Motorsports is ever going to be successful. Amanda McAlister has a full off-season coming up to make things right. She just got confirmation on what her biggest issue to address actually is.

The Team Blue Center, Tropicoast Beach, Tropicorp
Following qualifying for the Tropicorp 500
The mood in the Team Blue Center was deadly serious for a handful of reasons. For Chris Holmes, it was because he and his crew were huddled up trying to figure out how to make a race car work on what was, traditionally, the hardest track in all of racing to get a setup right. This was a cutoff race coming up, and Chris had to be on it more than anything else on race day on the beach. He would have liked to be elsewhere on the beach with his wife and son, but he felt he still had a chance to win the Multiversal Cup Championship and as a result, he needed to be ready.

While he and his crew were huddled up in a conference room in the Team Blue Center, Drake Stevenson, Taylor Henderson, Al Shelton and a handful of attorneys were crowded in front of a television, watching the “Mistakes Into Miracles” video that had been released the week before. Many within the team had watched it already and their reaction was, to put it kindly, not positive. Drake and Taylor had not; they had decided to wait until their lawyers were present, in case there was anything that warranted a lawsuit or any other form of legal action.

The fact they hadn’t seen the video yet was, to tell the truth, a miracle. So many people within the team had asked Drake for his opinion of it. People had sent him messages on social media asking for his opinion. Even television reporters had questioned him. But Drake and Taylor hadn’t seen the video yet and had held firm on it.

But now they were watching the video and, to put it mildly, they were not amused. Actually, it was incredibly uncomfortable for both Drake and Taylor to take in. The attorneys, meanwhile, were combing through the video to find anything that would be grounds for legal action, and they could not find any. A lawsuit, at this point, would seem frivolous, at best. After all, the attorneys argued that the producers could claim the story in the video to be fictional, and the comparisons between the two to be coincidental.

After the video ended, the attorneys explained they would not be filing suit.

“At this point, the only successful thing a lawsuit would do would be to draw unneeded attention to the video,” said attorney Mike Ripley. “I’m fairly sure you want this to be forgotten, right?”

“Yeah,” Drake said.

“Then, let’s say you seek an injunction to have this video pulled,” Ripley explained. “The injunction becomes public, it goes all over the news, the artist has publicity that you don’t want. His fans push the video out, and all of a sudden, this video gains ten times the attention you would have had beforehand. If you ignore it, it’ll go away, this artist will get the hint and they won’t bother you again.”

“Uh, I… do you know who this person is?” Drake asked. “He won’t leave you alone. If you get the chance, go over to Kai Qiang’s garage and ask him how ignoring this guy does. I think NSSCRA had to step in and tell this creep to leave Qiang alone.”

“OK, explain,” Ripley said.

“This creep – he’s named Ilya Tsunopin, by the way – had a fixation on Mr. Qiang,” Drake said. “And I think he’s got one on me. Lurid fanfictions – had some about me too – set his car number so he’d be right next to Qiang – and finally he burst out of a birthday cake to seduce the guy. I feel like I have to do something.”

“Drake, what he’s saying is that you don’t want to give him the satisfaction,” Taylor said. “You file some legal action, you’ve given him the publicity he was looking for. He’s looking to get under your skin. Ignore him. And if you come near him on the track, right-rear hook him into the fence.”

Drake, Al and the attorneys looked at Taylor like she had gone berserk.

“I’m not going to kill the guy!” Drake protested. “I just want him to stop. I’m not going to right-rear the guy just because he put out that. And I don’t want NSSCRA to go after me when I’m not the one that’s done anything wrong!”

“Still, you right-rear him and he’ll be a good boy from now on,” Taylor responded. “That creep needs to learn a lesson. Maybe you could right-rear Thea to send a lesson to him, too.”

“Are you out of your mind, Hendo?” Drake asked. “What has Thea done to me? I don’t… wow! I’m not fucking right-rearing anyone. I’m not going to kill someone because they put out something like this. Think about what you’re saying.”

Drake turned towards the television and stared at it for a bit.

“I’ll just say ‘no further comment,’” Drake said. “It doesn’t warrant a comment. But if Ilya bugs me again, I’ll give you guys a call. I was hoping I could have talked to Qiang this week, but it seemed like he was busy as hell, so maybe we could sort out a time to discuss this. I suggest you guys are in on this call as well, because I think he could explain the Tsunopin situation with him better than I could. I appreciate y’all’s time. Taylor and I need to discuss some things.”

The attorneys, figuring they wouldn’t mind a chance to go out onto the beach, shook Drake’s and Taylor’s hands and went out on Tropicoast beach to enjoy the evening.

“What’s up, Drake?” Taylor asked.

“I’m sick of this,” Drake said sadly.

“Look, if you don’t want to right-rear them…” Taylor started.

“That’s not it,” Drake said. “I’m sick of the sideshow bullshit. I’m sick of all this shit. You know, we’re race car drivers. We’re supposed to go out and race. Back home, that’s all we did. We went out and we raced. We didn’t have some creepy-ass driver serenade us with some stupid fucking music video. We didn’t have this back home. Did you ever have to deal with drivers writing fanfiction articles about you?”

“No,” Taylor responded. “I just dealt with sexist assholes who thought a woman had no place on a race track.”

Drake nodded his head.

“Part of me just wants to go home after this season’s done,” Drake said. “Go home, run HASCAR and spend my time there. I’m sick of this shit. I’m sick of all the sideshow bullshit. I wish it would just fucking end.”

“Drake, there’s a reason I was suggesting you right-rear his ass,” Taylor said. “Send that fucker firewall deep. Let me tell you something, a little story about what happened when I was racing late models in the Hampton Cities. There was a guy that kept bothering me, like he wanted to sleep with me. One night in East Hampton, before driver introductions, he slapped my ass and blew a kiss at me. So I right-reared him and put him into the wall.”

“What happened after that?”

“I was suspended for a race and I appealed it, saying I was sexually harassed,” Taylor said. “He suffered a concussion and was out for the season. He never came near me again.”

“Taylor, I’m not going to right-rear Ilya and I’m not going to right-rear Thea,” Drake said. “I want them to stop. I don’t want them to get hurt. I’m sick and tired of this and I want it to stop. I just… it’d be easier for us to just go home and I race in HASCAR instead. Maybe if I win this championship I might leave this series. I don’t know. Would you want that?”

“No, Drake, I… I don’t know,” Taylor responded. “I’d like you to be closer to home, but, you know, this is NSSCRA. You’ve made so many friends here. You’ve had so many great things happen here.”

“But yet, the sideshow shit keeps happening,” Drake said. “If this continues I’m going to go to NSSCRA and tell them this has to stop or I’m gone.”

Tropicoast. A name we all know well, but one we also rarely hear this late into the season. Everyone knows Tropicoast as the race before Jungle Fever, the final stop on our world tour before we head home - but not this year. This year, Tropicoast is the 2nd Chase Cutoff - where 12 must become 8 - and that has certainly brought about more eyebrow raising than at a museum dedicated to the history of human relations. This track is one we all know fairly well, but no one really knew how racing on the compacted sand would affect the cutoff to come. Tropicoast was going to change the Chase game...so let's see what the signs are.

Qualifying for the Tropicorp 500 would certainly set the stage for tomorrow as Stacie Houston would claim the all-important pole position over Drake Stevenson and Gwen Tracer Allison Oxton as we had another qualifying session where the JR drivers were here, there and everywhere - with Michael "Kaiser" Stefan (@Stefan07) in a very strong P4, Maddison Riley-Jones (@MaddyRJ03) not too far behind in P6 and Alfonso "Cyclone" Mercado (@AM64) down in P25 as he looks to survive the drama to come. Lam Chow-Cheung would do well to qualify in P15 while Aurélia Karvonen will start from P33 with the non-charter qualifiers being Anna Star Joy Thanda Pwint Thinzar Nwe (P16), Ashley Matthews (P26), Todd Underhill (P32), Roosevelt Jenkins (P35), Joachim Murat (P36) and Lightning Zhang (P41). Locals made up the open charter field, with Jixaka Motorai starting P24 and Cocoabo #37 will start in P31 in the #037 - a compromise made due to the fact #37 was already claimed by Alina Carbalo.

Meanwhile, the Tropicorp Racing Supply 250 would preview the drama that is to come tomorrow as the EverLong got to shine through their 2nd Act Crescendo. Colin Meredith would end up claiming pole over Pyotr Lavrentiev and Cocoabo #37 with Alice Jepkosgei (@AJ96), Kaarina Salo in P8, Axel Chase (@AxChase) in P15. Ilmari Pëkannen in P26 and Gongming Gao (@GG70) in P30. The race itself would start with a shock as defending champion Lavrentiev went out early - a blow that would mean he had no control on his fate - as he became the 1st of 5 retirements on the famous sands. Towards the front, the non-Chaser sweep of the race wins in this Act would be completed as Lexi Patterson took the win this time over Lotara Novorali and Patricia nic Neill with Gao rising all the way up to P5, Ilmari in P10, Salo pushing him in P12, AJ in P17 and Chase in P22. In the end, Ilmaro would end up winning the 2nd Act in a shocking development while Gao was also safely through in 2nd. Lavrentiev ended up eliminated by 3 points alongside Novorali and Rockii Exis, with Chase ending up 12th in a hole he simply couldn't get out of...not too bad for a debut season at all.

Tomorrow is going to be chaos. I can already tell, it will be chaos. And I have no clue where this will go.

Sometimes, things just don't happen the way you expect them to go down. Sometimes that is a bad thing but other times, the unexpected developments can actually turn out better than anyone would've even imagined. Case in point, Ilmari Pëkannen leading the Act 2 Standings in the T2 Chase. Nobody, not even Ilmari himself, saw that situation as a possibility when he only got into the Chase via a race win and that alone - but now they were in that situation, it did feel pretty fucking good. Ilmari himself felt pretty good about it, walking around the garage in Tropicoast like someone with a swing in his step...but everyone also knew that this position wasn't to be taken lightly, especially in the cutthroat environment of the Chase. One small mistake and that position would crumble into dust...and everyone knew it.

Qualifying would certainly be important and in that area, Ilmari would end up in P28 for one of the biggest races of his career, needing to make up a lot of ground in order to ensure his spot in. Of course, he also knew that no matter what happened he would have Kaarina Salo for support - despite the battle going on for that T1 seat next year - and she would start in P8. That gave Ilmari a target to aim towards and on race day, that was exactly the plan - get to Salo and work together from there. It was early in the race that he got word of Pyotr Lavrentiev's retirement, the defending champion seemingly unable to make it into the Top 8 this time, but Ilmari had to focus on his own fate first and foremost. He did indeed end up catching up to Salo and from there they worked together to try and get those all-important points. Salo's help would end up pushing Ilmari up into P10 - enough to not only make it through but also keep his lead at the top by a single point over Gongming Gao. Somehow, HM will leave a Chase section on top...and it was Ilmari who pulled it off.

Of course, there were celebrations to be had down at HM and everyone seemed static by the result...but then Ilmari noticed his friend(?) Axel Chase in a foul mood after their elimination and suddenly, it seemed like Ilmari knew what to do. Out of character and out of expectation, he went over to Chase and simply told him that he should be proud of what he accomplished in his debut campaign...which he certainly seemed to appreciate all the same. Ilmari isn't quite sure why he and Axel seem to always gravitate to each other...but no matter that now. Now, Ilmari has a 3rd Act to prepare for.

Tropicorp 500, Tropicoast Beach Course, Tropicorp :: The Vilaye Energy Drink Pole Award Qualifying Session would set the tone for the Tropicorp 500 and former race winner Yraaga Gilli'i needed to perform well - not only to impress the sponsors Tropicorp Racing Supply on their home track, but also in order to keep their hopes for a first career Multiversal Cup Series Title alive as they would enter the Tropicorp 500 Race Weekend on the outside looking in for the point standings. Luckily Gilli'i and the team would find some semblance of speed in the Pole Qualifying Session, posting the 8th fastest time in the field and very narrowly missing out on a Top 5 starting position at the end of a bundle of drivers separated by just one tenth of a second. Gilli'i will certainly have confidence on a track they have won at previously and with the best starting position of any of the Vilita and Turori Motorsports Drivers. Gilli'i will have to likely do battle with long time rival Stacie Houston if they are to take the checkered flag but first and foremost for the Tropicorp Racing Supply Backed driver is to finish, and finish well. Gilli'i can still advance on points alone trailing Chris Holmes of Hapilopper's Team Blue by just 7 points entering the final race of the Round of 12.

Tropicorp Racing Supply 250, Tropicoast Beach Course, Tropicorp :: Vilita and Turori Motorsports Novorali Enterprises drivers Lotara Novorali and Rockii Ezis came into the Tropicorp Race Week knowing that advancing to the Round of 8 on points alone would be effectively impossible due to the smaller field size in the Everlong Contenders Series. As such, the team already knew that in all likely hood, one of its two drivers was going to be eliminated from Championship Contention leaving Tropicorp. Unfortunately the teams did not show much speed in Qualifying, with Lotara Novorali starting 24th in the 37 car field and Rockii Ezis only slightly better in the 21st starting position. Once the green flag dropped, however, it was a much different scenario as both drivers used a combination of speed and strategy during the plethora of early yellow flags and by the half way point the duo were inside the Top 5 battling for the lead. They would stay there for much of the remainder of the race but unfortunately there was no stopping Lexi Patterson who had driven out to a commanding lead on the beach and was not about to give it up anytime soon. It was the third win of the season for Patterson who has put together a strong campaign even though, like Ezis and Novorali, she has been eliminated form Championship Contention already. It was a so close yet so far scenario for the Novorali Enterprises team which remains winless on the season thus far. Lotara Novorali was the "best of the rest" finishing a distant second place behind Patterson for her best finish of the season while Rockii Ezis was a further distance back in 4th place, one spot behind Patricia nic Neill of Abanhfleft who incredibly moved up from last place on the starting grid to a 3rd place finish.

With all local drivers - both those from Vilita and Turori Motorsports and those from Team Tropicorp - now eliminated from Everlong Contenders Series Playoff contention, the focus will shift to see if the Trio of Valentian drivers can take advantage of their stranglehold on the last 8 - particularly Marcus Alan Ariel Reynolds who is the only driver remaining in the title chase without a race victory thus far on the season. Incredibly, only one driver remaining in the playoff chase for the Everlong Contenders series has a car number that doesn't end in either 0 or 7 and that is a Valentine Z driver - Michelle Kass Evelyn Vítková Pavlína who is using the #32 for this season. The only other story worth following is whether or not Xanneria's Eustis Ewing will finally crack the triple digits. A strong day for Ewing in Tropicorp saw them outlast four drivers who failed to finish, placing 33rd and making solid ground on their quest to reach 100 points before season's end.

@VTRacer

Another two bites the dust: Novorali Enterprises drivers Lotara Novorali and Rockii Ezis put up a valiant fight in the Tropicorp Racing Supply 250 but ultimately came up short. Lexi Patterson would take the checkers in #Tropicoast eliminating the final Vilita & Turorian drivers from Everlong Series Contention.

Drake Stevenson’s apartment, Hapilopper City
A couple days after the race on Tropicoast Beach – 1:30 a.m.
It almost didn’t make sense. On paper, Drake Stevenson was having his best season in years – and his best season since joining the NSSCRA full time. But it was late at night and he was wide awake in his huge living room on the top floor of this apartment tower overlooking downtown Hapilopper City. He was slouched in a lounge chair, sloshing around a glass of whiskey, wondering if he wanted to do this anymore. If he wanted to continue with the hustle and bustle of the greatest racing series in the multiverse, or if he wanted to just go home and compete full time in the HASCAR Challenge Cup, the nation’s stock car racing series.

It wasn’t even a matter of losing his confidence, nor was it a lack of results on the track. Drake had actually led the NSSCRA points the last few weeks and had won a few weeks before in Halsted. In fact, Drake actually felt like he was at the top of his game. But while he was at the top of his game, there were multiple sideshow distractions that had brought down his morale, and had made him question whether or not he actually wanted to compete in NSSCRA anymore. This season, there were two. There was the incident in Kimi-Suomi where it seemed Frank Bronson and Amanda McAlister had threatened to find someone for him – even when he didn’t want anyone. Drake punched Frank out, Amanda yelled at him and threatened to fire him, and as Drake competed in Kimi-Suomi that weekend, he seriously considered leaving the team and not coming back.

And now, there was a music video that had been released by Ilya Tsunopin and Thea Alvarez called “Mistakes into Miracles,” a video that appeared – to Drake and to Taylor Henderson – to be based on the fact that they had gotten together and that they were going to have a child together. The video bothered both Drake and Taylor, to the point where they seriously considered filing some sort of legal action against Tsunopin. However, the wise words of their attorneys – telling them they probably wouldn’t have much of a case – stopped any legal action from proceeding.

It still bothered Drake a great deal as he sat there, watching the Hapilopper City skyline late at night. Taylor had gone to sleep by now. He had never dealt with anything like this when he was in HASCAR, or even in the World Grand Prix Championship, and it was something he didn’t want to deal with in the NSSCRA. For right now, he wouldn’t say anything, or even acknowledge what Tsunopin had done, other than just acknowledge that he had watched the video.

Sitting next to him was a legal pad and a pen – similar to the legal pads he used to bring with him walking every single track, detailing every single nook and cranny of every single track – from the undulations to where track crews had filled in cracks in the pavement – and he figured he would draft a note. It wouldn’t be published now, nor would it be common knowledge – possibly ever. He wanted to see how the rest of the season would go before he would consider putting it out.

To the NSSCRA community,

I would just like to let you know how blessed I am to have been a part of this, the biggest form of motorsport anywhere in the multiverse. I have been fortunate enough to have come here, tested myself against the very best, and come out looking great. But circumstances have dictated that my time here must come to an end.

Next season, I will return to the HASCAR Challenge Cup and pick up where I left off there. I will return to a series where drivers go out and compete, rather than focus their time with stupid music videos, fanfictions and popping out of a cake to harass other drivers. The worst thing a driver does there is stick an open can of sardines under another driver’s seat. You know, innocent harmless stuff. I couldn’t imagine some creep like Ilya Tsunopin lasting one race in HASCAR pulling off some of the stuff he pulled

Drake stopped writing his note. It was clear to him that his problem was with Tsunopin and with Tsunopin only. Instead of leaving the series because of Tsunopin’s shenanigans, Drake figured he needed to take it up with NSSCRA instead. So he figured that, when he arrived at the Garden of Radiance in a few days, he would visit NSSCRA officials to lodge a formal complaint and a request to tell both Tsunopin and Alvarez to lay off.

He nodded his head and a grim look came about his face as he considered the situation and what he needed to do – tell NSSCRA to tell Tsunopin and Alvarez to stop. He wondered if NSSCRA would decline his request – after all, that video had not explicitly mentioned Drake or Taylor, but it was blindingly obvious what that video was about. Drake had been a good boy this season – in fact, all of Team Blue had, having surprisingly not gotten themselves into any disciplinary action, so maybe that would come into consideration.

Having realized what his next step would be, Drake got out of the chair and went to bed.

And so, here we are. The Tropicorp 500, but not as you know it. This race track is undoubtedly familiar to all of us within TJUN-ian circles - many of us have gone onto that beach, prepared for coming home here, and won races here - but now, it was going to decide who goes into the next 3 with something still to fight for. It still felt weird to be here this late into the season, but we knew it was here with a very big purpose and one which everyone knew would be important for every reason possible. Seven had to join Drake Stevenson in the Top 8...but who would it be?

The beach is certainly known for chaos and today would be no different as we saw 5 drivers fail to make it home, like Rustam Ilyich Yudin and Malo 'Bo' Boludo. As for those who were still running, things were just chaos as Chasers squabbled with themselves and with the non-Chasers for those precious points everyone was gunning for. In terms of HM, Aurélia Karvonen would come home in P20 while Lam Chow-Cheung would come home in P10. In terms of JR, we all had a good day as Michael "Kaiser" Stefan (@Stefan07) came home in P15, Alfonso "Cyclone" Mercado (@AM64) did well in P12 and Maddison Riley-Jones (@MaddyRJ03) came home in a brilliant P9. Thea Alvarez would win the battle at the front over teammate Stacie Houston and Anastasia Freya Yadana Aye...a situation we didn't know was important until after the final points standings were clarified. And they were shocking. Mercado made it through but Jeremiah Brooke, Yeezie Magic himself, did not - so did Tsering Chu, Yraaga Gilli'i...and Houston. By winning the race, Thea had knocked Houston out - kinda like what Liangmei Li did to Kai Qiang in Season 9. Brutal. Fucking Brutal.

Chaos has shown itself to us all...and now, we have only 4 races left in this song and dance. We have a break coming up, one we all desperately need, before we travel to The Garden of Radiance - THE Garden at 6th Mile Road - for Holly's Double Delights. Things have certainly changed...and no one knows if it's for the better or not.

The Beach of Tropicoast can be a place of wonder - an idyllic racetrack that takes advantage of the location in more ways than any circuit can. But for this season, it was also a Chase Cutoff...which meant that while Lam Chow-Cheung and Aurélia Karvonen weren't fighting for those sorts of prizes, it did mean that things overall were going to be tense - and that was an understatement. So how did they cope...if at all?

AK
Making it home for the first time in a long ass time was a big deal to the Vuohi, who could feel the weights finally being lifted off of her shoulders. It felt good to come into this weekend actually feeling like she can actually complete a race in this series and so, she spent Thursday enjoying some 'me' time at the beach, watching the waves flow by as her guitar gently weeped. Qualifying would see her start the madness from P33 and while she was certainly happy to see Ilmari Pëkannen make it into the Top 8, she knew that the next stage will certainly make the decision for the top seat all the more interesting. She would make up good ground in the race to make it all the way up to P20, which was certainly a nice way to enter the 2nd=to-last break of the NSSCRA season. How would she spend her week off? In the sauna, of course, preparing for the run-in to come.

LCC
After making the front pages thanks to Ongmu Yeti and the piggyback ride of a lifetime, the enby everyone seems to like did do well to qualify in P15 and was also happy to see Ilmari pull off that magic - though there were still remembering the fun they had with Tshering at the beech late on Thursday night. The race itself was actually quite fun, making it home in P10 with the wind at their back, and now they would have a week off to enjoy the sauna, snuggles and cheering on Batu. Thea ended up winning the race and Lam would send congratulations their way...but something else managed to creep into their mind...and it gave them an idea, one that would form of the flight back to the Rouge Kingdom.

"Mistakes Into Miracles", that video everyone has seen now, had had quite the affect on Lam...in fact, it made them question why Ilya Tsunopin was even in the series to begin with. It made parts of their mind start to wonder if Tsunopin had corrupted Thea and turned her into his pawn. But it also reminded them of "Lam Ranch", the RP Ilya made of Lam and D-Car - one which featured a ceremony, 2016-level infighting and the wacky coalition of Jeremiah Brooke and the in-story couple of Ilya and Drake Stevenson building a new sauna in order to try and save the main relationship of the story. It was out of curiosity that Lam read that story, which they deemed "just as wacky as Rule 34 can get" and left it at that...but now, it gave them an idea. They saw that music video of "Cold Heart" that Batu and Lane Carter did (which was certainly fun, to say the least) so with that in mind, Lam decided to try and take the mick out of Tsunopin...by making a music video inspired by Lam Ranch. Of course, it would have to be filmed over the winter, but it could easily be sorted, right? Set it in Kimi Kaupunki, replace Brooke with Batu and D-Car with Tshering and the couple with...Stefan and Mercado (maybe?), get a song to sing and...done! It may seem cocky but at this point, Lam didn't care. A point had to be made...one that will align them with Drake and Qiang alike.
