The following nations have officially qualified for NSCAA 12's Ultra 64.

They have a guaranteed berth in the bracket. They've either qualified by topping their conference's regular season table, winning their conference tournament, or both. In the case that a team won both the regular season and tournament, the #2 team in the regular season takes the berth that would've normally gone to the regular season winner.

Note that these "standings" are not indicative of these school's eventual seedings in the Ultra 64. It's merely a simple table listed by wins and PD to assist the hosts in assembling their At-Large lists, as these nations are qualified and thus shouldn't be on the lists. The seeds for the Ultra 64 are being done via a "complex" formula that will take into account several factors including wins, tournament performance, points, conference strength, and possibly other factors. The seedings of the bracket may be switched around between schools to ensure that no nation will have any of their schools meet before the Sweet 16. If possible, I'll try to make it so no same-nation schools meet before the Elite 8, but this may prove unworkable.

The six hosting nations can now begin sending in At-Large listings to the NSCAA account via telegram. More instructions will follow. To give the hosts some time to assemble their lists, I will set a deadline of about ONE WEEK from this point, so next Saturday at midnight. I would, however, like the lists to be sent earlier so we can get the Ultra 64 underway sooner, rather than later.

Once the field for the Ultra 64 (and DCIT, I guess) is finalized, I will post a bracket on Challonge. A schedule for postseason results will be established at that point, and Chromatika will take over scorination duties for the Ultra 64. However, we will leave sufficient time (over 72 hours) from the posting of the bracket to the First Round of results scorination. From there, cutoffs will likely be every 48 hours like the conference stage.

The At-Large lists have all been sent in, and the final 38 schools to round out the Ultra 64 entries are now all confirmed!

The following list are all 38 schools, listed in the rough order based on the votes received. Schools at the top were ranked more highly on average, and schools at the bottom were ranked lowly on average or were even unlisted on some of the At-Large entries. This order or average vote ranking will not be used when determining Ultra 64 seeding (besides the fact that higher-voted nations are more likely to have more wins and better performances and thus will have better seedings anyway).

Sixteen other schools received votes but fell short of being inside the bubble. These schools will likely be used as entries to the DCIT, though that is not yet confirmed (the field may shrink or expand, and schools may be shifted in or out).

The seeding process is underway, and I'm hoping that tomorrow I will be able to release the official Ultra 64 (and DCIT) bracket, as well as the relevant Challonge Bracket Challenges (for those that would find that fun). The exact timing will be up to Chromatika, who will be the unilateral host for the Ultra 64 as an uninvolved but dedicated host. We have preemptively aimed for a Round 1 cutoff on Thursday night, with the remaining cutoffs being every 48 hours (as expected), but the exact schedule will be confirmed when the brackets are posted.
