Election returns for the Executive Council of the NS Rugby Board

League vice-president/NSRB President:
Green Jello Salad - 1
Saugeais - 0
Filopines - 0
Aels - 2

Sevens vice-president/NSRB 1st VP
Western Cuba - 3
Civil Citizenry - 0

Union vice-president/NSRB 2nd VP
Saugeais - 3
The Kiaser Colonies - 0

Aels therefore is the League vice-president, Western Cuba the Sevens VP and Saugeais the Union VP. Aels takes the role of President of the NSRB, with Western Cuba as his first VP and Saugeais the second VP. The next order of business I believe is the Sevens World Cup.

Actually I think since Aels is NSRB president that is his job. As I am pretty sure it is the responsibility of the NSRB President to start the sign ups for the League, Union, and Sevens world cups.

NS Rugby Board Governing Document wrote:The President of the NSRB opens signup threads for the three World Cups and oversees selection of their hosts, organises the election of Section Vice Presidents as called for above, organises votes on properly proposed amendments to this document as stated below, and chairs the Executive Council for the resolution of emergencies.

The Vice Presidents of the NSRB take up the duties of the President in sequence, First then Second, when that officer becomes temporarily or permanently unable or unwilling to perform the above duties.

As President the duty falls to Aels to open sign-ups and organise the selection of hosts for the next four tournaments to fall under the NSRB umbrella. He may wish to delegate such an activity to the VPs if he wishes, or should he not do it for a while the 1st and then 2nd VP may do so instead.

Question, since Aels gave me permission to open up sign ups for R7WC II, should I use my account or the NS Rugby Executive Council one?

If you can access the Executive Council account, use it. Your own account is fine, we all know that you're the Sevens VP and acting in that capacity (presumably with permission).

I will leave it to the NSRB Union president, Saugeais, to make that decision, although my personal opinion is that it may be wise to avoid the World Cup qualifiers.

The last Rugby Union WC was back in January, so I think we are overdue for that. But as Aels said, we'd be competing with the WC qualifiers, as well as the World Baseball Classic that I'll be opening signups to soon. Though rugby isn't the most popular sport on here and not one for intense RPs from its participants, so I wouldn't have a problem with putting it up against those other sports.
