This thread is a continuation of the previous threads hosted by United Gordonopia and Vault 10 who are no longer able to commit to thread mantinence duties

The Global League of Major Corporations, or GLOMC, is a free association of commercial organizations, dedicated to developing worldwide commerce and protecting the interests of its members.

The goals of GLOMC include:
- Advancing international and transnational trade relations.
- Promoting mutually beneficial cooperation between League members.
- Developing effective and mutually compatible long-term economic strategies.
- Leading by example in setting higher business standards and practices.

Members are able to participate in GLOMC meetings, where strategies and standards are discussed and set. All members have equal voting power in the meetings, ensuring that their interests are recognized.

Membership in GLOMC will provide your company with greater international presence, wider opportunities for expansion and a stronger voice in the global business community.

All applicants should fit the following criteria:

1. The applicant must be a recognized commercial entity (corporation or company).
2. The applicant must have a presentable public website or storefront.1
3. The applicant must operate or have clients in at least five recognized nations.2
4. The applicant must have a record of international revenues totaling no less than 100 billion.2
5. The applicant must not function as a government organization or a mercenary service.3
6. The applicant's products and/or services should be deemed as acceptable quality.4
7. The applicant must be willing to send a representative to all GLOMC meetings.

If your corporation meets all of the above requirements, you can apply for membership by filling out the following application.

Code: Select all
(Please follow the instructions in parentheses and remove them before submitting)
Full Name:
Abbreviation: (2-5 letters)
Company Website: (must be a working link)
Country of Origin:
Industry:
Primary Products or Services:
Head of Company:

International Revenue for the last Fiscal Year:
Total Revenue for the last Fiscal Year:
Total Profits for the last Fiscal Year: (if you can't figure it out, assume 6-11% of total revenue, depending on how complex your products are)
Total Assets: (if unknown, assume 0.5-3 times total revenue, depending on how much equipment it takes to make your products)
Record of Major International Sales:
(List here some of your greatest international sales; this will be used to confirm the scale of your stated revenue. You do not need to list all sales, just enough to cover 50-100 billion.)
(Suggested format: Customer, Product ("various" if many products), Value, Link)

(Optional fields)
Main Storefront(s): (Only mention if different from the website. Working forum links only; no jolt links.)
Year of Founding:
Other Information:
Comments:
Member List Entry: (format: Company Name (Abbreviation), Industry, Country of Origin, Representative <name>

Please make sure you meet the requirements, or at least are close to meeting the requirements before applying. Applicants considered prospective, but still far from meeting the criteria may be accepted as Associates, a temporary member status without voting rights.

Please check the Step-by-Step Guide to Calculating Your Profits if you are uncertain about that figure.

Correct filling of the form and a sound financial record will be a factor in deciding the application.

1 A link is required. If you only plan on creating a storefront and would like assistance, don't apply yet, but ask for assistance, and we'll do our best to help you.

2 Should be confirmed by an enclosed sales record, other than for well-known companies. Exceptions can be made, if the storefronts are found to be of high standard.

3 Corporations registered as nations are eligible for membership.
Government owned corporations are eligible for membership, provided they otherwise operate as commercial entities.
Corporations acting as proxies for a specific government are not eligible.
Non-profit organizations may be eligible for membership, provided all other conditions are met.
Other cases will be reviewed individually. If your corporation has any governmental functions, at home or in colonies, please explain it in the Comments.

4 Corporations that do not offer products and/or services of an acceptable standard will not be admitted to the GLOMC as the wishes of this organization are to act as appropriate role models for other corporations to follow. Quality of products and services will be examined by the reviewer.

In addition to this thread, GLOMC activity is recorded on the GLOMC Forums.

Members should include a link to GLOMC on one of their storefronts.
The link can be in form of either:

Or, if neither is acceptable for some reasons, an alternate logo of own design or a bolded text link. You can also still use the old logo if you like it.

OOC: As mentioned above, I'm not applying but asking for assistance here.
This is my storefront - viewtopic.php?f=6&t=77769

The business helps governments worldwide, but is not government-owned, it also helps local councils/local authorities too with road-signing issues.

Any help with this is appreciated!

OOC: First I would advise you read both the guides posted at the top of the forum thoroughly, if you haven't done so already. They provide a wealth of information to anybody who is looking to start their own business within NS. I wouldn't recommend NSDraftroom for your product due to its rarity, however they might be able to offer a few suggestions. Other than that, I would advise you to make your storefront as attractive as possible as the product you are selling isn't overly interesting and you will need to hold a customers attention if they happen to glance at your store. You can do this by using logo's, colours, images etc.

Apologies, however I have only copied the list from the previous page and was under the impression that all members were listed.

They don't seem to be very active. I've been doubting about the same thing, to be honest.

The Hightech ones aren't very active at all, and UG's original forums haven't been used for a while.

I might see if we can entice any new members, maybe invite a few from NSD, and maybe get this organization active again.

ooc: I believe that I've told a few people via telegrams and such, but I've decided to make it official. At this time, a Civil War is raging within my nation between the current Republic and foreign backed Monarchists wishing to put the previous monarchy back on the throne. When the monarchists prevail (as that is the plan), the style of capitalism will be abolished, United Gordonopia will isolate itself from most of those outside the region of Greater Dienstad, and the nation's main corporations, including Gordonopian Enterprises, will become a state owned entity known as the Imperial Gordonopia Corporation. As several of the elements of this new corporation go against the membership requirements of the GLOMC, and as all extra-regional operations will be sold off thus making the company a regional corporation rather than a global one, I feel that the best course of action would be for me to withdraw from the GLOMC. I would not mind staying on as an observer, if no one has any objections, however my corporation will not match the rules that I myself established. I hope you all understand, and I wish you luck in reviving this great organization.

Record of Major International Sales: Major sales include two lunar projects sold regionally1, to a total price of 76 billion N$, and a space programme sold for 6½ billion N$.

Year of Founding: Founded in 1961 with SASA, which was merged into SBP in 1988.
Other Information: [OOC]: 1: The international sale can't be found in my storefront. A large part of my region has bought their space-programme at SBP, but they are too lazy to open the forum and type a few lines.
Comments: The 5th rule of this organisation is not a problem for SBP. It is a fully privatised company, and does no longer have ties to the arms manufacturing industries. Our main income is still the Saint Abbran government, but several industries and foreign consumption of our services is catching up.

Unfortunately, the application from Saint Abbra Star Bee Project cannot be considered for the following reasons.

Saint Abbra Star Bee Project does not meet the minimum number of international customers for entry in to the GLOMC. The number required for entry is five seperate nations, with Saint Abbra Star Bee Project only providing details of one nation, which cannot be certified unfortunately.

We invite Saint Abbra Star Bee Project to continue their growth within the market and re-apply to join at a later date when they meet the entry criteria.

OOC: To determine your revenue, you are going to have to add all the deposits from your clients together. Or you can just estimate it. To calculate your profits, you can just take 10% of your revenue which is the easy way, or you can do it manually by looking at the calculating profits page.

Still need to determine the legality of this application as member corporations are not meant to act as government organizations under critereon 5. In this case, if the RBI acts as the central monetary authority for two nations it would be excluded under this law. As we can't make exceptions (we have already turned away a number of corporations because of this and it really wouldn't be fair), we can't consider the application if the RBI is government run. You can still join, you just need to revoke the status of the RBI as a government entity.

Ill leave this application as is for now until you can sort out the above issues. Nothing too hard to fix albeit.

Thats perfectly fine. Option two is trying entry under a different company that doesn't conflict with the criteria.

Ooc : The problem is that the Indonesian Empire Stock Exchange is also a state entity, albeit it has the priviledge of acting independently (meaning it is free of government interference). Would that be alright?

Unfortunately not because it isn't exactly a corporation but more of a trading post instead. For something to be described as a corporation in the broadest sense, you need to be turning a profit and/or selling/providing a service/product.

I am truly sorry that you are being excluded for reasons you haven't had much control of, but the GLOMC would be certainly welcoming to any new or existing corporations you created that meet our criteria.

OOC: Your Universal Defence Storefront is already a member of the GLOMC and V10 imposed a limit of one corporation per nation to make voting fair. Do you want to detach yourself from Universal Defence and enter another of your corporations (Universal Defence will still be a member) or stick with what you've got?

PostPosted: Tue Dec 28, 2010 6:05 pm

Those are separate of UDC/I. UDC is now largely run by Falk, and those are my own companies, so yea, i would like to detach from UDC and add PAMI since i am only allowed one Corporation in separately under my own name.
