OOC: Sorry - I'm not sure you can afford it. The cost for the DPR is $900 billion.

And then, I can't do it. Only the Brotherhood of Steel can. To get a response from them, you should post a letter from your national or military leader.

Greetings and salutations.

The concerns about cost are understandable. Unfortunately, the high cost of organizing additional production centers is mostly caused by objective factors. It requires more than just retooling the existing factories, but rather building up a new infrastructure chain, starting from expanded beryllium mining and refining, and large-scale production of high-grade carbon fiber. In the manufacturing chain, clean rooms and precision micromechanical equipment are required for producing metal matrix composite parts. Some of the technologies have been a multinational effort by the Nanotechnology Science and Manufacturing Consortium, and use specialized equipment. The cost of organizing external production, therefore, includes the cost of producing, delivering and installing the equipment involved in the operations that cannot be performed with general-purpose machinery. As such, it cannot be significantly reduced at will.

However, I have been discussing the matter with the Aerospace Logistic Corporation, our main contractor for mass production of the weapons. ALC is an independent transnational corporation, mostly dedicated to aerial transportation, space exploration and associated manufacturing, and it has expressed interest in expanding its operations to the Federation of Northern Colonies. However, the local economic restrictions prevent such an opportunity at the moment.

Should you provide some conditions under which ALC could practically create a division in your nation, even under ultimate governmental supervision, the production could be organized via the Aerospace Logistics, which would reduce the expenses involved.
A possible and tried implementation, for instance, could be a replacement of the taxation by a nontransferable assignment of 51% of the shares to the control of the national parliament or other representative body members, with state or municipalities as interest recipients. In such an arrangement, the state would receive the majority of the company's operating gains, as well as an ultimate control over the company, should it be required, while still leaving the company with a certain interest and operational flexibility. Apart from organizing the R2 production, the local branch would be primarily involved in airline and airlift operations, as well as integration into the high-technology industries, creating a mutual benefit by introduction of own technologies and creating a more diverse manufacturing base.

The reduction of expenses associated with inter-entity operation, and more extensive use of local workforce would reduce the cost of organizing local production by approximately twice, down to $450 billion, as well as lowering the future production expenses.

I hope such an arrangement can be satisfactory to both of us.

Yours faithfully,
Knight Delmar.

Due to recent developments on the World Stage we have had to speed up our weapon testing, in these expediated tests the R2 Advanced Infantry Armament Complex came out on top out of all the weapons tested. So we are more then happy to inform you that we wish to purchase the full Domestic Production Rights for the R2 Advanced Infantry Armament Complex for the pre-mentioned price of $900 Billion.

The payment will be wired in two stages, half to be wired upon confrimation of the order and the other half to be wired upon arrival of the nessecarry plans and equipment. The reason for this is due to the large amount of money that is need.

Thank you for your time

Greetings and salutations.

You have certainly made the right choice. R2 has been built to satisfy the most stringent requirements in the most extreme situations.
Your order has been approved by our authorities. We shall transfer the technologies, required data and production specifications for all weapons of the R2 family immediately. The two-stage payment scheme, is, of course, completely acceptable.

Once the clearances are verified, our specialists will be enroute to your nation together with the required equipment. They will assist with facility modification, equipment installation, initial production, and personnel training for future operation and maintenance. You should be able to launch the first production lines shortly.

Yours faithfully,
Knight Delmar.

Greetings,

It is the intention of the Vandaheim Military to implement the R2 Advanced Infantry Armament Complex as the standard small arm for the its combined services. In this light, we are pleased to confer the sum 480 Billion USD to the Brotherhood of Steel for the purchase of 6 million Full Supply Model contracts. It is to be noted that at minimum, all Vandaheim units are to be equipped with the ARPS-05 Solar Auxillary Power System.

We thank the Brotherhood and look forward to a long and prosperous relationship.

Sincerely,

Cal Penderson

Greetings and salutations.

While this is not the most commonly required additional system, the requirement of installing ARPS-05 to all units is reasonable. Your order has been accepted. And, of course, it does not preclude the use of any additional systems where they are needed. We'll contact your military divisions and begin production as soon as personnel measurements or generalized ergonomic data for chassis customization is received.

Due to the number of ARPS-05 components involved, your order will take slightly more time to complete than usually, but, with the available capacities, we should finish production within the year.

Yours faithfully,
Knight Delmar.

Re: R2 Advanced Infantry Armament Complex

We wish to purchase 20 of each type of rifle, with all available attachments. That would be 100 rifles in total. We want 1000 rounds of ammunition for each rifle, or 100,000 rounds of ammunition. We are willing to pay extra to expedite shipping. That is $10,000,000 dollars. We wish to use these in a live fire exercise with Aperture Sciences.

We are working on an electrothermal LAMW (Light Anti- Mecha Weapon) using electrothermal principles. We would like to turn the research over to you. We are willing to provide $10 million dollars for initial funding. We are also willing to provide raw materials in the form of carbon fiber, tungsten steel, batteries, and any other specialty alloy you would require. Ours is currently rather crude.

Regards,

Neem Ralk, Strategos

Good day and good tidings.

Your order has been confirmed. I shall oversee that it is carried out with urgency - for such small a number, we can prepare the air delivery by tomorrow on a dedicated ALC flight.

The question of developing a portable weapon capable of defeating powered armors or light armored vehicles, including those with non-traditional propulsion, has concerned us for some time as well. In fact, R2 is already a very large step towards this goal.
We'll be interested in accepting this arrangement, although more detail will be needed to carry out the work.

With sincere regards,
Brother Stanwood.

P.S.
OOC: Do you just want IC help or, presumably, actual design help? If the latter, I suggest to register here - http://z3.invisionfree.invalid.com/HighTech/index.php?act=idx . Then I can make the custom design, or partially make it, or closely help with it.
My personal suggestion would be rather going with a hybrid of high-power firearm and "coilgun" style electromagnetic principles, as it's going to save some weight and volume.

Following a recent surge of employees and military personnel into L3's ranks, we find ourselves short on both weapons and munitions. As of the current fiscal year, L3 has began purchasing large amounts of weaponry to equip it's forces both in the current and the near future. Per said purchases, we're going to be placing an additional and rather large scale order of R2 rifles, due to their exceeding well manufactured design and impressive combat trial performance.

I am glad you have appreciated the performance and effectiveness offered by our combat system. We will produce and transport the 3,200,000 weapons in your order at a priority, in a short timeframe.

Seeing as you are performing a major equipment renewal, should that be of interest, I can suggest you to stay tuned for the public release of a few high-grade body armor systems we are developing at the moment.

Greetings to you,

Our military force has been in need of a new weapons outfit. After carefully searching through the available weapons contractors, we at the War Office have determined your weapons to be of the highest quality, as well as the best purchase in terms of quality to cost. While we will not yet outfit our entire land force with new weapons, we would like to purchase 300 for testing and equipping for our Special Forces division. Pending our finds in terms of our needs, it is possible for us to return here and finish equipping our forces; though that is highly likely based on the information provided. We would like the following in deployment packaging unless noted otherwise:
  • 100 R2C Tactical Carbines (sub total $5,030,000 USD)
  • 100 R2L Assault Rifles (sub total $5,670,000 USD)
  • 10 800 mm R2S Sniper Rifles (sub total $1,300,000 USD)
  • 10 1000 mm R2S Sniper Rifles (sub total $1,407,000 USD)
  • [standard package] 80 R2GM General Purpose Machine Guns (sub total $8,088,000 USD)
  • Total Cost: $21,495,000 USD

As for ammo, we request the following:
  • CL8-25: 1000 rounds for each R2C, R2L, and R2GM (sub total $126,000 USD)
  • CL8-63FL: 1000 rounds for all 20 R2S (sub total $160,000 USD)
  • Total Ammo Cost: $286,000 USD

We also would like an ARD-02 Laser Designation Modules for every rifle that can get one through the deployment package. This brings the total up to $21,781,000 USD, plus whatever charge we incur for the ARD-02, which was unpriced in the list.

Good day and good tidings.

Thank you for taking interest in our system. Your order has been accepted, and will be delivered by air tomorrow.

Indeed, in the information we have distributed, the cost for a few accessories has been omitted, which hasn't been noticed before since most times they are ordered under the full supply model. I apologize for the omission, which has been rectified; the per-unit cost for the ARD-02 is $1,100, and it is mounted in the internal accessory slot.
While the module can be mounted on machineguns without any particular difficulties, it is generally unlikely to be used with a machinegun, but we leave it at your discretion.

The total cost, then, comes to $22,111,000 with ARD-02 on all weapons including the R2GM machineguns, or to $22,023,000 with ARD-02 on carbines and rifles only.

I hope you will find all of the weapons to meet your best expectations.

With sincere regards,
Brother Stanwood.

As a fairly new, industry rich nation, The Commonwealth of Ocelatonia will require a large amount of small-arms to protect our economical interests. Our ever-growing military of over 2.4 million, most of which will need weaponry, will require the latest in infantry and ballistic warfare to back them up, that's why we've come to you.
First of all I have noticed your R2C Tactical Carbine, from the Commonwealth's perspective we agree that this rifle would be a fine addition to our armament. We would like to purchase a bulk of 1-million units along with the 500mm barrel expansion. Along with this order we would like to purchase a corresponding bulk of 1-million CLAP automatic pistols, in which we see as an effective sidearm four our military units.

Greetings and salutations.

We have received your order, and will begin the work on it soon. However, it was not specified, and we would like to clarify, would you need the Minimum Package (rifle only) or the Deployment Package for the R2C?

The cost for a minimum package will be $34 billion, and for the Deployment Package $47 billion, in addition to the $2 billion for the pistols.

If you are not certain on the choice, for R2C, the minimum package generally presumes that the customer plans to mount their own sight system and already has all the accessories they require, or will procure or produce them separately.
The Deployment Package includes a sight with a laser rangefinder and electronically assisted aim correction, and generally everything else that is likely to be needed during the lifetime. That includes:

- ARL-030D internal tactical light
- ARGL-20 programmable airburst grenade launcher
- Integrated laser targeting system
- 230mm lightweight bipod
- Detachable vertical forward grip
- Stanhope survival knife with bayonet mounting provision (made in Pontinia)
- Kevlar three-point Ching sling
- 7.62mm temporary conversion kit
- Cleaning and maintenance kit
- Lifetime supply of solid lubricant
- Servicing instructions and detailed information in printed and digital form
- 1 thin-film rechargeable accessory battery
- 1 versatile electric cord for accessory battery charging system
- 1 lightweight clamp-terminated electric cord
- 40 fiberglass magazines with round samples for initial training
- 6 reusable aluminium magazines
- Rapid magazine reloading device and custom round casting die set
- 4 rail-mounted magazine holders
- Fiberglass storage and transporting case
- Full lifetime warranty

Please inform me about your choice.

Yours faithfully,
Knight Delmar.

Greetings and salutations.

While the weapons of the R2 complex are not easily produced, we have designed all components to be built using a relatively limited set of equipment. As such, it will be possible to construct the production lines, for which we shall supply specifications and critical components such as control systems and special parts. The cost for the rights, specifications, key production components, specialist assistance in installing the equipment, starting the production, and training for personnel to continue it, is $900 billion.

Should that be acceptable, we will proceed with starting the required transfers in a few days.

Yours faithfully,
Knight Delmar.

Good time of day.

I'm glad that you have appreciated the advantages of our system. You order has been accepted. We will begin the production shortly.

If you have or can produce the measurements for your career military personnel, the rifles will be built to exact match with the most comfortable grip position and angle for each individual user, as well as customized cheek rest, forward grip, fire selector switch position and other ergonomic detail. Otherwise, we will deliver a set matching the standard distribution.

Note that the customization doesn't restrict the weapon to a single user; rather, the intended user will be able to enjoy the perfect ergonomics of a bespoke weapon, while for other users it will feel more like a normal rifle, taking some time to get used to.

With sincere regards,
Brother Stanwood.
There is a line most people say they will never cross. It is usually something they have done long ago when they thought no one was watching.
