To: Brotherhood of Steel

We are intrigued by your R2 armament complex and we would like to test it against the AVIR.III rifles and other firearms currently in service with our troops. Zinaire has always invested substantially in each soldier and it appears that the R2 is very compatible with this paradigm.

Please send, for testing purposes, the following:

10x R2 Service Rifle (w/ deployment package)
8x R2C Tactical Carbine (w/ deployment package and 500mm barrel)
4x R2GM General Purpose Machine Gun
2x R2S Sniper Rifle (w/ deployment package and 800mm barrel)
2x R2S Sniper Rifle (w/ deployment package and 1000mm barrel)

A total of $1,841,800 will be wired upon confirmation of this order.

From: Brotherhood of Steel
To: Sir Henry Norton,
Minister of Defense,
The Republic of Zinaire

Good day to you, dear Sir Henry Norton.

We have received your request, and it's been a pleasure to fulfill it. Ten R2 Service Rifles, eight R2C Tactical Carbines, four R2GM General Purpose Machine Guns, and four R2S Sniper Rifles, two with 800mm and two with 1000mm barrel, all with full deployment packages.
An ALC transport aircraft with the armament ordered is enroute to your nation at the moment.

On my account, I can tell the following concerning the comparison between R2 and AVIR Mod.III. Both R2 and AVIR in its last modification are reliable, convenient and practical personal weapons.
The main difference comes with regards to firepower. The 6.7x35mm rounds used by the AVIR are typical intermediate rounds, completely defeated by modern body armor. With decent, but still assault-rifle-grade accuracy of the weapon itself, and relatively rapid loss of velocity by the rounds, AVIR is easily protected against with most armor kits on the market, except at very close ranges.

R2, in contrast, is able to deliver on-demand firepower significantly in excess of regular rifles. For a comparison, AVIR can only produce about 2.4 kJ of muzzle energy, while R2 rounds start at 2.6 kJ and proceed all the way to 19.7 kJ with VLD rounds for long-range sniping and anti-materiel use. Such rounds can defeat not just any rifles, but even medium APC protection. Combined with every rifle being built with match-grade accuracy, they ensure the weapon's effectiveness at any range within the horizon, against any target short of heavy armored vehicles.

With sincere regards,
Brother Stanwood.

We are sorry to announce that at this time, we do not think the R2 system is suitable for the Zinairian Armed Forces. We simply do not think that the cost of replacing nearly all our small arms is justified.

To the Brotherhood of Steel,

As a corporation that's always wanting to keep it's private contractors on the very cutting edge of technology, L3 Communications wishes to purchase the follow weapons to equip our forces: seven-hundred fifty thousand (750,000) R2 Service Rifles, two-hundred thousand (200,000) R2GM General Purpose Machine Guns and fifty thousand (50,000) R2S Sniper Rifles.

All weapons are to be purchased in the "Deployment" package, and the sniper rifles are to be the 1,000mm model.

We're also interested in the CLAP-series, as it appears to be an effective replacement for our current M9 sidearm. So, we would like to purchase one million (1,000,000) CLAP-825A automatic pistols. We'd also like to inquire about possible domestic production rights (DPR) for the R2 series' rounds, as we'd prefer to manufacture them ourselves. If you can, we'd like a quote on the DPRs as soon as possible, please.

The total cost for all of these weapons, minus the DPR, has been calculated to be roughly around 81.755 million Universal Standard Dollars. Upon confirmation of this order, we'll be sure to send the money via electronic transmission. If possible, we'll also include the cost of the DPR at the quoted price.

Thank you.

Signed,

To the Brotherhood of Steel,

We believe that your weapons are the highest quality made anywhere. With this in mind, we would like you to outfit our black ops regiment, despite the high cost that this entails. We would like the best you can give us, which I assume is the deployment package for each weapon.

600x R2L Lightweight Assault Rifle (deployment package)

600x R2C Tactical Carbine (deployment package)

300x R2GM General Purpose Machine Gun

300x R2S Sniper Rifle (1,000 mm barrel)

We hope that these weapons are actually the best in the world, as they will be used by the most highly trained troop north of the Velmoria-Bittner Line.

Sincerely,
Patrik Harris
Minister of Commerce

Official Communique; Fanboyist Federal Imperial Armed Forces (FFIAF)

TO the Brotherhood of Steel
From Colonel General Michael Stiles, General Quartermaster, FFIAF

We have given due overview to the R2 system, and we are very, very impressed. We have given this due consideration, and we would like to order 15,000 of the R2 service rifle deployment package, with an additional 3,000 of the machinegun/SAW model, 3,000 of the sniper variant (800mm barrel), and 5,000 of the carbine variant (w/ 500mm barrel, deployment package), totalling USD $2,031,300,000, for the purpose of reequipping the Militae Cataphractae, our battlefield and praetorian elite force.

We would also like to inquire as to DPR's of the ammunition, both the standard rifle ammunition, the favored marksman's ammunition, and the most penetrating armor-piercing round.

We would also like to purchase 18,000 SAMP-1080 Auto automatic pistols, at a cost of USD$72,000,000 in addition to our above cost paid to you.

Greetings.

Your order has been received and approved. Your weapons will be produced and delivered as soon as possible.

The standard ammunition has open specifications, and can be produced in normal factories. For advanced ammunition, such as marksman and extended armor-piercing rounds, we provide DPR for free for orders over a million units, or at an individually determined price for smaller orders. In this case, the cost for the required rights and technologies will be $200 million.

Thank you for your business.

Yours faithfully,
Knight Delmar.

Why isn't god as sociable as he used to be in the bible. I mean back then he used to show up for every genocide and baby massacre. Nowadays you hardly ever see him anymore...well, except for those times where he's appears to attention-starved old catholic ladies in the form of a god-shaped lasagne or jesus' face in a tortilla. Apart from that he never visits anymore.

OOC: Yes, this is MT.
With all designs, I work within the modern tech level bounds. All of the technologies used here are actually existing IRL, and most are used, just in applications where cost is a lesser concern, and not together.

Hello

We would like to first congratulate you on winning the contract for the Defence Small Arms Procurement Programme. We wish to apologise for the delay between winning and offering the contract, due to some internal problems.

With that out of the way, we wish to enquire about some sort of licence for local production within the Northern Colonies. We acknowledge that yo have set the price at $900 billion, but is there any way of reducing that price?

Yours Sincerely,
