Santheres, you are really still sticking to the whole "it's not worth it thing?" I thought this was all cleared up awhile ago. The invasion creates a captive market, using expensive Griffincrest oil in that area so that prices can be reduced on oil elsewhere. It also creates an insanely cheap labor pool who are forced to work for dirt pay, and are sent across the world to work for the Corporation. Finally, the nations that are conquered are strip mined, and national treasures that survive the looting are sold off, as well as any surviving military equipment in the country is sold of, along with billions of dollars in seized private property. Thus, the wars are worth it.

OOC: Eh, considering I've never seen it RPed, I had no idea you actually stuck around and completely raped countries. I've only seen you taking oil. If all you did was take oil, I'd still stick to it not being worth it and there's really no way I'll ever be convinced otherwise of that. However, sticking around and completely disassembling a nation is quite a different story and much more likely to cover the gap with an acceptable profit margin.

For Muheeb Omar Qottar, Prime Minister Habib Kilany, and pretty well any clued-in Khalsi, the timing of Griffincrest's re-emergence was interesting at the very least.

Only hours earlier (OOC: hours IC-time, because the other player has been distracted by that infernal 'RL' thing!) Kilany had sent an ultimatum to faux-Marxist dictator Provost Marshal Barack Hussein Obama II of Islamaisbad, and that character's infuriating refusal to quake before the scrawny politician's might had thrown the military man Qottar's Republican Guard across the bridges of the Euphrates with bayonets flashing and teeth gnashing.

Thus, as would soon enough become plain, the Ba'ath Crescent of Al Khals had committed itself to the reunification by military means of Iraq, absorbtion of Kuwait, and creation -by partnership with Civil Arabia in the far south- of Arab Socialist Ba'ath homogeny over the Arabian Peninsula.

With that aim in mind and motion, and grave doubts already existing over the ability of the dilapidated Army of the Crescent to carry it out, the return of oil-fed imperialists to the world stage presented the suddenly stretched Khalsi Security Unit with another headache that would have to be monitored.

Normally, the Marshal of the Army of the Crescent would have started planning a defence against Griffincrest aggression by explaining to Khalsi artisans just exactly how he'd like the head of Claudius to look when it was made part of his tea service, but with a much reduced Al Khals barely able to feed itself and marching to war with its neighbours, Qottar would have to grit his teeth and stay quiet... until the Middle East was Ba'athist from extreme to extreme.
