COUNTER DRONE VEHICLE TYPE 2024 "GENSHI"

Counter Drone Vehicle Type 2024, nicknamed "Genshi" ("Falling Star") is a Nifonese system combining very short range air defense capailities with advanced electronic warfare and electronic support measures. The vehicle is meant to counter the drones of the lowest class, especially the threat of cheap, commercial FPV drones.
- The system uses a reliable chasis of the Type 2005 vehicle.
- The crew is made of a driver, commander, gunner, radar technician, electronic warfare technician and the ESM technician.
- The vehicle weight is 13.5 tons.
- Responsible for detecing the UAV is Washi F-981, a pulse-doppler radar operating in the C-band. The radar has a maximum reach of 3 kilometers and is capable of providing location, distance, speed, and direction of up to 120 targets at once. It's accuracy is sufficient to actively track a 9mm bullet, with target analysis mode providing classification for a variety of drone systems in service. The radar is low power and thus is harder to detect using ESM.
- A two wideband antennas covering the VHF-HF and K to Ku-band spectrums. The systems are linked to the ESM operator's station, which contains a high class liquid crystal display monitor; which allows interception of a wide spectrum of signals from up to 10 km, such as for example feed from the FPV drones, allowing the operator to locate them based on the feed being relayed to the operator.
- The ESM operator posesses advanced AI-supported signal analysis tools.
- Washi Ku-23 is an omnidirectional acoustic detection system for drones based on a network of microphones spread around the vehicle. The system can automatically classify and identify drones based on their noise, and display their locations on a liquid crystal display.
- Responsible for jamming the drones is four antenna Washi D-19 system. The system is capable of covering a radius of up to 3 km, It is build around 4 antennas, and consumes 500W of power. The jammer can conduct simultaneous jamming of 6-8 frequencies at once. Following frequencies are covered:
- 2.4G: 2400-2500MHz
- 5.8G: 5725-5850MHz
- GPSL1: 1560-1620MHz
- 868-920: 868-916MHz
- GPS L2~L5: 1100~1300MHz
- Wi-Fi5.2G: 5100-5500MHz
- WiFi3.6G: 3500-3600MHz
- 433: 433 MHz
- Washi NM-1 turret incorporates a high quality CCTV camera with a laser target designator and thermal vision. The system posesses capability for automatic following the target, so once operator locks on the enemy drone, AI-based software will make the turret automatically follow it without the need for the operator to aim.
- Automatic Grenade Launcher Type 1995 fires 31x30mm ammunition. The system incorporates a belt-fed AGL capable of launching 400 rounds per minute and storing 50 grenades in a box magazine. 500 rounds are carried within the vehicle. For counter drone purposes the automatic grenade launcher incorpoates a brand new programable HE-FRAG ammunition allowing easy shooting down of drones. The enemy targets can be engaged up to 2300m away.
- Mu-80 is a Nifonese 80mm laser guided munition developed from 80mm rockets used on the Nifonese helicopters. The rocket is 1.6 m long, with weight of 12 kg and a warhead of 4 kilograms. It can engage a target flying up to 4km away; 6 such rockets are carried within a pod.
