Background: In today's rapidly evolving combat environments, the prevalence of sophisticated, deep dug-in fortifications and concrete bunkers has presented a formidable challenge. Traditional artillery fire is often unable to strike with sufficient accuracy, necessitating direct hits from precision artillery or air-launched munitions to make an impact.

Responding to this critical need, our latest innovation offers infantry and armored forces unparalleled direct-fire support, specifically designed to penetrate and neutralize the most resilient deep bunkers. Experience the next level of tactical advantage, ensuring your forces can advance with confidence, even in the face of the most daunting fortifications.

In ages past, the armies of Sauron would use, as their lead elements, fighting Uruks riding on gaur i], immense, vicious wolf-like creatures. Much like those creatures, the [i]Gaur is the heavier cousin of the T-100 Warg main battle tank. Although it lacks the agility of a true main battle tank, its movement restricted somewhat by the immense gun and the heavy armor, it is capable of providing the men and women in the field with fast, responsive, high-power fire support.

Armament: At the forefront of armored warfare innovation, the Gaur Heavy Battle Tank (HBT) stands out with its formidable 180 mm main gun. This engineering marvel is not just about its size; it's about the capability to deliver decisive blows on the battlefield. Whether it's breaching several meters of reinforced concrete, unleashing devastation with airburst High-Explosive Fragmentation (HE-F) shells, or piercing the toughest tank armor, the Gaur HBT's gun is a game-changer.

The gun is equipped with all the features customers have come to expect from Allanean Arms vehicle armament, including a state-of-the-art fire control system, complete with modern sensors and a machine-learning algorithm that continuously enhances its accuracy and efficiency. The digital fuze programming interface allows for unprecedented precision, enabling the commander and gunner program fuzes while in the breach, in order tailor the munition's behavior for maximum devastating impact.

The truth, however, is that greatness comes at a cost. The 180-millimeter gun is immense – accelerating the tank’s projectiles to their full speed requires a 9-meter gun. Navigating the narrow confines of certain urban landscapes poses a challenge for the Gaur, with the length of its gune dimensions affecting maneuverability in tight spaces. Similarly, the process of aiming and repositioning this colossal gun is inherently slower compared to its lighter counterparts. These factors make the Gaur HBT an unparalleled force in open battlefields but less agile in close-quarters combat.

Consequently, the Gaur is most effective when tactically deployed in a supporting role. It excels behind the front lines, augmenting the firepower of infantry and lighter tanks with its devastating long-range capabilities. In scenarios where mobility and speed are less critical than sheer firepower, the Gaur proves its worth, delivering unmatched support while minimizing exposure to environments that could hinder its operational effectiveness.
In addition to its formidable main gun, the Gaur tank is armed with a 12.7 mm coaxial machinegun and an RWS (Remote Weapons Station) with a 12.7 mm and a 7.62 mm gun, for use by the tank commander. Furthermore, the tank’s smoke launchers can be loaded with white phosphorous, fragmentation, or CS gas grenades.

Sensors and electronics

The Gaur HBT is equipped with the complete suite of military electronics expected from a modern battle tank. Infra-red vision systems are present in the tank for use by the commander, gunner, and driver. Complementing this capability is the inclusion of redundant 360-degree vision cameras, providing the crew with an uninterrupted panoramic view of the battlefield. This continuous observation capability in every direction is crucial for detecting threats and opportunities, allowing for swift and informed decision-making under the pressures of combat.

Each crewman is equipped with their own, resilient, protected vision screen, not only displaying a view of the battlefield, but also information pertinent for each crewman, such as ammunition count and type, engine and fuel information, and location data. Furthermore, each crewmen is equipped with a standard mixed-reality vehicle helmet, enabling a ‘glass hull’ functionality that allows them to view the tank's surroundings as if the hull were transparent, simply by turning their heads.

Furthermore, the Gaur HBT uses the phased array radar integral in its active protection system (see below) also to inform crew members of drone threats, detected ATGM launch and anti-tank weapon launch positions.

WARNING: USE OF ANY OF THE RADAR SENSORS ABOARD THE TANK INCREASES THE CHANCE OF DETECTION BY HOSTILE FORCES. EXERCISE CAUTION WHEN ACTIVATING ANY OF THE RADAR SENSORS INCORPORATED IN THIS PRODUCT

The tank is equipped with several retractable antennae for communications purposes. They can communicate both by radio and via military encrypted cellular comms system, while the onboard computers can utilize the latest edition of BASTION, the same command and control software standardized in Allanean, Nachmerean, and Greater Prussian regional forces computers.

Protection:
The tank is equipped with composite tank armor, a somewhat heavier and thicker version of the armor seen in the T-95 AL. In addition, it is fitted with the Steel Tide[/b] APS system, which is capable of launching hard-kill interceptors against a variety of missiles and UAVs attacking from any aspect of the tank including vertically, as well as, in some cases, against APS penetrators. Moreover, the [i]Steel Tide system incorporates a laser, infra-red, and RF jammer, all linked to a command and control LCD panel in the commander’s post.

Finally, the tank’s last line of defense is a multi-layered system of composite armor, utilizing different layers of steel, protective titanium lattice, and depleted uranium to hold off both enemy shells and the deadly radiation of atomic explosions. On the inside of the armor is a Kevlar liner to avoid danger to the crew from shrapnel and spalling.

ERA and SLERA can be optionally mounted.

Crew Survivability:

The tank’s crew are kept separate from the ammunition in a secure armored capsule within the tank. This capsule is intended to survive even a detonation of the tank’s ammunition (which will, of course, disabled the tank and possibly violently remove its turret) with at worst minor injuries (in such a scenario, catastrophic hearing loss is probably inevitable).[/b]

The compartment is NBC-proofed using an overpressure system, as is common in most tanks. A foldout commode has been installed, improving the crew’s capacity to remain confined within the tank for prolonged periods of time in NBC situations.
