BALLISTIC MISSILE TYPE 2013 "JIMGURI"
Ballistic Missile Type 2013, codenamed "Jimguri" ("Nifonese burrowing snake") is a Nifonese intermediate range ballistic missile system designed for strikes against the enemy operational and strategic level targets, such as airfields, command posts, bridges or logistics bases. Considerable range and capability for post-launch manouevere make it an effective weapon for any client.
- The missile itself is 14 meters long, with a diamter of 1.5 m.
- Total launch mass of a missile is 20 tons.
- The missile is a two stage design powered by solid fuel; which elimiantes the long and complex process of loading the missile with fuel before launch. The goal of the first stage is to bring the missile into the atmosphere; upon completion of which, the first stage is jettisoned and the second stage engine is ignited. The second stage is responsible allowing the missile to cross into space; after that, the final part containing the payload continues on its own. The re-entry vehicle then re-enters the atmosphere and continues towards the target. During this stage, the RV releases countermeasures and performs a set of semi-random manouevers in order to confuse the enemy anti-missile defenses.
- Total flight altitude is 900 kilometers.
- The missile bosesses an intertial gimbal-ring gyro laser guidance assisted by AXISAT global positioning network and digital control. Those new measures grant it Circular Probability Error (CEP) of 10 meters, ensuring that the payload will be delivered directly on the target in all cases.
- The missile is capable of carrying a payload of 2 tons; both conventional, thermobaric and nuclear warheads are availible. Another option involves a fragmentation warhead with 10x 200kg submunitions.
- The most powerful nuclear warhead currently availible is 1 mT.
- The missile can be used as a launching platform for hypersonic glide vehicles.
- Maximum range of the missile is 4 000 kilometers.
- Maximum speed before re-entry is Mach 10.
- The missile is mounted on an Ueda 10x10 truck with a 518 HP engine, providing a good in-terrain mobility and allowing it to quickly relocate from one area to another.
