Todays important topic of the day will be the topic of whether or not to ease tariffs (taxes on goods from other countries) on other imports from other regions. Alistoria's Ambassador has, at the moment, expressed no intent of lowering tariff costs, stating that to preserve Alistoria's economic power tariffs must remain as it is to goad national industry to make more stuff. The Alistorian ambassador also mentioned the "Foreign Car affair", when foreign car sales were hurting the national automobile industry's sale so much that the government was forced to raise Tarriff costs to curb it, unexpectedly boosting its economy when people started buying more and more national-made cars.
Alistoria's stance on raising Tariffs: "Heck no! High Tariffs mean people will buy more locally-bought products, which means more moolah for us!"
