Now they will remember why they skulk in the darkness. Now they will remember why they fear the light. ~ Queen Cassiopeia Blaken-Kazansky
Let the creatures that pierce the veil into our reality to attack us do so at their peril. ~ Dofreat Cragspine, Priest of Lathander.
Let the creatures that pierce the veil into our reality to attack us do so at their peril. ~ Dofreat Cragspine, Priest of Lathander.
Background: The world is fraught with danger. Unthinkable horrors circle at the edges of our reality, like sharks closing on their prey. The veil that separates our warm, carefree existence from undead nightmares, daemonic monstrosities, and the minions of creatures so abhorrent that the word ‘evil’ is a compliment to them is often thin.
Some will tell you that this means that the free nations of sapient-kind are doomed. Some will tell you that soon the darkness will devour the light. Some will tell you hope is the first step on the road to disappointment. The Hearth Organization knows better.
The Hearth Organization is a non-profit organization representing an inter-religious group from multiple nations. It is committed to providing individuals and organizations around the world with tools and knowledge necessary to repelling assaults by the forces of the forbidden and unknown.
Brotherhood of Balance, the Sisters of the Council of Lirea, The Order of Idealists (Archian Sector), the Order of the Five, and the Mothers of Magic, The Temple of Lathander, the Cult of Tempus, and other religious organizations committed to repulsing the assaults of the various evil abominations from the beyond. Funds from any commercial transactions with the Organization go to fund production, distribution, and marketing costs, production expansion, or charity work supporting the various temples or other charity efforts by these groups.
The technology: The HWC is as it is named: a can of holy water, product by clerics of the member organizations. When the safety pin is removed and the lever pressed, the water is sprayed out much like a big self-defense spray can. Evil abominations, daemons, and many forms of undead are injured on contact.
The proposed method of use is to carry the HWC on one’s person or place it within easy reach in one’s home or place of work, and make use of the HWC as needed. Prayers to a deity of your choice are recommended but not required.
(Holy water is also available in larger amounts and in containers other than self-defense spray cans)
