Background: Gone are the days when pistol optics were considered the domain of hunters and steel silhouette shooters. Today, pistol optics are affordable enough and hardy enough to be used by people carrying firearms for self-defense, or even full-time violence professionals seeking that split-second edge against bank robbers, terrorists, or enemy troops.
Trouble Shooting’s VajraTM APO (Advanced Pistol Optic) is the latest newcomer to the world of pistol sights. Making use of a red dot powered by a standard LiPo ‘button’ battery, the scope is usable day or night, with twelve adjustable brightness settings for a variety of users. It is also equipped with an adjustment wheel enabling the sight to be easily adjusted for shooting without a parallax effect out to a range of 150 meters.
As importantly, however, the hardy, fully enclosed design makes the VajraTM APO capable of being used in the hardest environments. Water- and fog-proofed, the scope is also shock-proofed and temperature-protected, capable of being used without disturbing its optical performance at temperatures between -40 to +60 degrees Celsius - that is to say, in temperatures in which most users would cease their functioning.
The VajraTM Advanced Pistol Optic is capable of withstanding the recoil forces of firearms in all common caliber, and can even be reliably used even with high-caliber pistols such as the Lyran Arms Hellhammer, the Schwerpunkt R9 Kofitz, the Armatax Grizzlar or the Imerian 1537 års tjanste revolver.
(Note: because optics ready pistols often come with a removable steel plate in the spot the optics are expected to be mounted, the VajraTM APO will only increase the net weight of such a pistol by approximately 10-20 grams).
