What Benifits Does A Boldonian Register Grant Your Ship?
Boldonian registered ships are kind of a middle ground between the laxed regulations of places like the Bahamas, Panama, or Malta, while also being more laxed than the stringent strict requirements of US ships. Minimum wage in Boldonia is a minimum of $7.40 per hour, but in order to attract more cruise line traffic a special exemption was made specifically for cruise lines. For cruise lines and passenger vessels the minimum wage is a comparatively low $6.85 per hour. Registration fees are also inexpensive, as in Boldonia ship registration is seen by the government as a service not a business. Another thing to note is that this is the only way to get your ship into Boldonia's universe. Any multiversal ships will be denied entry into Boldonia's universe unless they are Boldonian registered, or they are registered in either a Boldonian multiversal ally or friend.
Restrictions and Regulations With Boldonian Registration
Of course there are also restrictions and regulations, especially since your ships are multiversal. These restrictions depend on the type of ship being registered however.
General
- No ship registered in Boldonia may travel to a multiversal enemy or any nation on this list with a classification at or worse than hostile.
- All normal laws of the sea and laws of the nation you are docked in apply.
- Any ship that wishes to travel through any canal or internal waterway must obtain a one time use permit to do so from the Port of Rift Inter-Universal Airport.
- The English language will be the default language for any signage, computer, ship controls, etc. Other than that you are able to sign any other language.
- While in Boldonia's universe a multiversal ship must fly a solid purple flag underneath their normal flag.
- No multiversal ship may carry passengers between two in universe ports if those passengers do not get back on the ship. This does not apply to cruise ships or any other ship where all passengers return to the port of origin at the end of the voyage.
- Each side of the ship must have enough life rafts or lifeboats to accommodate 62.5% of the ship's capacity.
- A cargo ship from the multiverse may not carry cargo between two ports in universe.
- All crew members must have access to either a spot on a liferaft or lifeboat twice over.
- Any multiversal ship transporting cargo between a different universe and Boldonia's universe must make a mandatory stop at the Port of Rift Inter-Universal Airport for inspection. This does not apply to a route from Boldonia's universe to a different one.
