Bem-vindo ao Humberto Delgado Aeroporto
"Flyers Choose Lisbon."
Welcome to Humberto Delgado Lisbon International, your gateway to Portugal. Whether you'll be vacationing right in the city, or connecting to other cities in our nation, or even on to Europe or Africa, we welcome you. Ambassadors, students, families, businessmen and women, your time at this airport will be smooth and enjoyable one.
With more than 30 million travelers using the airport every year, and almost 100 flights into and out of the city daily, we are the undisputed hub for Portuguese air travel.
The airport will now be accepting applications from foreign airlines who wish to set up shop at Lisbon Airport. With a new terminal having been constructed in 2023, we now have 2 terminals for your selection.
Disclaimer: Due to the renovations the airport underwent in 2023, the image above differs from the appearance of Lisbon Airport today. This is absolutely not because I'm too lazy to make my own image.
Airport Structure
Terminal One is located toward the eastern end of the airport, however this terminal is reserved for TAP Air Portugal, and is therefore unimportant for your application. Terminal Two, toward the southern end, is for short-haul travel and for budget airlines, and is perfect for airlines travelling in from other parts of Europe or Northern Africa. Terminal Three is available for long-haul flights. However, Terminal Three is next to Terminal Two and is much larger to accommodate for larger aircraft.
Between the three Terminals, almost 50 businesses operate, including small shops, restaurants, and tourist amenities. Many large restaurant chains, such as McDonald's and Burger King operate restaurants within the airport. Besides these, most restaurants serve traditional Portuguese cuisine.
Transportation
As a part of the renovations, a new monorail system connecting the three terminals with security, baggage claim, and each other, has been established, the Lisbon Airport SkyTrain People Movers. Transit from security to any terminal is around 2 minutes, and from the terminals to baggage claim is around 3 minutes.
The Airport Bus System carries passengers between parts of the airport as well as to nearby hotels.
The airport has a subway station that connects to the rest of Lisbon, and there is also a nearby railroad station, Oriente Station, which also happens to be Lisbon's primary railroad station, which can be used for rail travel to other parts of Portugal as well as Spain.
