Is there a specific reason why nobody will buy from me?

A meeting place where national storefronts can tout their wares and discuss trade. [In character]

Is my storefront too minimal?

Do you not agree with my economic formulas?

What is it that is repelling all the other members of the world?
NS stats are canon. We are not a copy of the United States of America, just a nation with American elements. The large star in the middle of our flag is to symbolize the executive nation as a uniting force while the crown above is to symbolize that this executive nation also has central banking powers. We are still a democratic republic, with a president, two houses of congress, and a judicial branch.

Not an expert at storefronts by any means, but here are some suggestions.

  • Add more detail to your storefronts. You'll notice that popular storefronts have long writings about the company and its products, which I don't see much of in yours. For example, your oil company. What is its history? Is it state owned or privately owned? What is the name of the person in charge? Details like that bring a storefront to life, and make the difference between an acceptable storefront and a good one.
  • Don't lean so heavily on NS stats. In my experience, the overwhelming majority of GE&T posters do not use, or completely ignore, NationStates stats. I know I do, as I find it much more fun to RP a small, economically limited nation than one with billions of people. Of course that doesn't mean that you should feel like you have to avoid them, just be mindful of most people's preferences. GE&T follows the laws of supply and demand, so you have to try to cater to popular opinion while staying true to your vision of the storefront, if that makes sense.

Just some things I noticed, I hope that they're helpful. You can always ask for advice from much more experienced RPers than I in the Better Business Bureau thread or on the GE&T discord server found here.

Thank you. I appreciate the feedback.

Consider me your number one customer. Your formulas are brilliant, even though I was disappointed that my nation's average IQ was 98 when mine is 142

Thank you. That means a lot to me. The thing to remember about the IQ metric is that it measures outcomes in a way people recognize. If your nation has an average IQ of 150, that doesn't mean your average citizen is a genius. It just means that they have opportunities and outcomes as those who would be that intelligent. Likewise for your average being 50. Your average citizen isn't mentally impaired. It just means that they would have the same opportunities and outcomes as someone who would be of that IQ level.

That makes sense. I was wondering why things like productivity and human devopment index were included in your formula.

I included productivity because the score is attached to your economic category. The economy can provide opportunities and the citizen powers the economy. The more opportunities the economy provides, the more the citizen will seize them (this is how the NS laws of physics work. Just like any citizen in any nation in all of the NS universe will go for highest quality instead of lowest price- a thing you'll find using these equations as time goes on).
