Nunovia- (Sierra Novalis Press) Sierra Novalis
"Today, the Chairman of the Confederation General Council for Economics and Finance, Leto Goldsman, announced an end to the do-not-export policy for Sierra Novalis's lucrative book printing industry. This comes after years of lobbying from the Sierra Novalisan Bookprinter's Association, which formed to challenge the state-owned monopoly, which was created by the Confederal Legislative Chamber to enforce the decades-old ban on importing internationally printed books and the even older ban on exporting Sierra Novalis's printed books, which effectively restricted the large industry- a major component of the Sierra Novalisian economy, to a domestic market. Now that the do-not-export policy is gone, however, the GCEF is expected to consider ending it's "selective management" of book printing companies. Despite the wait for this change, the President-General of Sierra Novalis, August Blackswell, stated simply at his weekly press conference: "Sierra Novalis is opening for business."
