REPORT FOR: The United States of Independence Hill

All metrices are calculated using NS Trends. On the 'Trends' screen, you'll see a button below that can measure your own region. Time is measured by setting one NS year = one Earth day. This report is subject to change from NS year to NS year (day to day) and at least some NS years won't have a report at all.
States may create and use their own currencies, but the Universal Treasury Note is the one and only official currency of the United States of Independence Hill and must legally be accepted everywhere within the United States of Independence Hill.

Use these instructions below.

This is going to be a pretty straightforward post outlining how our economic data is calculated and compiled, line item.

Population: All City, State, and Federal employees, military personnel, and citizenry are added together.

Lifespan: NationStates Trends.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

IQ: (√((HDI + Intelligence + Health) - (Ignorance) x Productivity Score) / 100) + ECS = IQ

Example:

(HDI + Intelligence + Health) - (Ignorance) = z

z * Productivity Score = (y)

√(y) / 100 = x

x + Economic Classification Score = IQ.

65.49 + 40.99 + 4.06 = 110.54

110.54 - 4.78 = 105.76

105.76 x 35,000 = 3,701,600

√(3,701,600) = 1,923.9542614106

1,923.9542614106 / 100 = 19.2395426141

19.2395426141 + 85 = 104.2395426141

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Economic Productivity Rating: This is used in an equation that tracks the exchange rate of the Universal Treasury Note. A value is attached to whichever classification the economy is given. Example: Frightening = 50,000 and is the maximum. The scoring for this is inspired by NS Economic Formulae, but not identical. Scoring is set by the United States of Independence Hill but not totally far off from NS Economic Formulae scoring.

Cost of a Gallon of Gas: √(Automobile Price * EPR / 404,000,000)

Average Cost of an Automobile: (Automobile Manufacturing x Productivity Score) / 404,000,000 x Average Income of the Poor

If your nation has an economic classification of 'Frightening,' the formula for an average cost of an automobile changes to (Automobile Manufacturing x Productivity Score) / (404,000,000 x 30) x Average Income of the Poor. (x20 for all consuming. X10 for powerhouse.)

Average Cost of Rent Per Month:

poorest 10% income x avg income = x

x/average cost of a house = y

√(y) = z multiplied by a score from below-

Frightening (x1.75)
All Consuming (x1.50)
Powerhouse (x1.25)
Thriving (x1)

Numbers growing larger with higher economic classifications addresses inflationary phenomena.

Example applied: Economy = Thriving

Exchange rate is []1.00 = $2.84

35,475.61 x 86,654.57 = 3,074,123,730.0377

3,074,123,730.0377 / 129,185.75 = 23,796.15189785019

√(23,796.15189785019) = []154.2600139305393 ($438.0984395627317)

[]154.2600139305393 x 1 = []154.2600139305393/Month's Rent

Average Cost of a House: ((Timberwood Chipping + Manufacturing + Scientific Advancement) x Productivity Score) / 404,000,000 x Average Income of the Poor + Average Income = Average Price of a House.

Unemployment Rate:

(100 - Employment) / Black Market = (X + Unemployment Score) as a percentage

100 - 81 = 19

19 / 217.8 (Blackmarket converted into a decimal) = 0.088

√(0.088) + 2 = 2.30%

Exports: NSDossier

Imports: NSDossier

Balance of Trade: How much more or less are we importing than exporting...

Minimum Wage: Avg income of the poor divided by Public Education (if public education value is zero or a negative number, no minimum age is established. Nations with high minimum wage may also have a high inflation rate, but more experimentation is required to know for sure.)

Average Exchange Rate: Exchange rate averaged between members of the region, values taken from NSDossier.

Absolute Exchange Rate: √(GRP Per Capita * EPR / 404,000,000) This is going to be the square root of (GRP per capita multiplied by the Economic Productivity Rating and then divided by 404,000,000).

Cost of a Gallon of Gas: √(Automobile Price * EPR / 404,000,000)

Inflation: Subtract the starting date exchange rate from the end date exchange rate and divide by the starting date exchange rate. Multiply by 100 and your answer is the rate as a percentage.

Federal Income Tax: Set by the United States of Independence Hill and applies to every citizen of every State in the nation.

State Income Tax: Each member of the United States of Independence Hill region is classified by the Federal Government as a State and their taxes apply only to the citizens of their State.

Average Income: NationStates Trends.

Consumer Spending: GRP or GDP divided by the exchange rate, add population
Example

GRP = []2.775 Quadrillion ($8.05 Q)

Exchange rate = $2.90

(2.775 / 2.90) + Population = 0.9568965517241379 + .00028791 (Since population is in billions, you'll want to move the decimal so it coincides with the scale of quadrillions being to the left of the decimal.

0.95718446 (Almost a quadrillion Universal Treasury Notes) Or to simplify []957.184 trillion. ($2.776 Q)

GRP: GDP of all members added together

GRP per capita: NS Trends (GRP / Population)

Federal Budget: Percentage of GDP listed in the Government section applied GRP.

Federal Spending: This can also be found in the Government section, It's the raw number expressed instead of the percentage.

Surplus/Deficit: This can be found by subtracting Federal Spending from Federal Budget. A positive number, of course, is a surplus. Negative means deficit.

Money Supply: GDP or GRP minus 50 Trillion. NS Trends

Savings & Investment: GDP or GRP minus Consumer Spending.

Velocity of Money: GDP or GRP divided by Money Supply. NS Trends

Joseph Stockdale Business Index: Combines values of all industries minus arms and automobile manufacturing in NS Trends.

Erickson Manufacturing Index: Value of manufacturing in NS Trends.

Varnacki Agricultural Index: Value of agricultural output in NS Trends.

Economic Productivity, Classification, Unemployment score, & Rent Multiplier: (Productivity / Classification / *Unemployment Score / Rent Multiplier)

Frightening = 50,000 / 100 / +2 / (x1.75)

All-Consuming = 45,000 / 95 / +2.50 / (x1.50)

Powerhouse = 40,000 / 90 / +3.00 (x1.25)

Thriving = 35,000 / 85 / +3.50

Very Strong = 30,000 / 80 / +4.00

Strong = 25,000 / 75 / +4.50

Good = 20,000 / 70 / +5.00

Fair = 15,000 / 65 / +6.00

Reasonable = 10,000 / 60 / +7.00

Developing = 5,000 / 55 / +8.00

Struggling = 3,000 / 50 / +9.00

Weak = 1,000 / 45 / +10.00

Fragile = 500 / 40 / +12.00

Basket Case = 250 / 35 / +14.00

Imploded = 100 / 30 / +16.00

I will share with you a theory that may help you as you go. It is assumed that regional industry has a measurable effect on domestic industry. For example, if your people can get whatever they want cheaper on the regional market, they will do that. And same goes for your domestic prices being cheaper. Part of this theory means that there is a natural, yet undiscovered, force pushing each nation's economy to specialize. The larger the region and the more time spent means the more powerful the force, thus accelerating economic specialization.

If this is the case, you may want to keep this in mind. Each nation is like a person. Each person in a most basic system needs a job. The industries that make up your economy- "Trout Farming industry, with major contributions from Uranium Mining, Information Technology, and Automobile Manufacturing"- those are your jobs.

If your issue outcomes favor these "jobs" you have then you'll be able to improve your economy that much faster.

Taking into account the previous statistics, how do you consider the economic outlook of the nation?
In my opinion it is very efficient in terms of production and purchasing power.

As far as the economic outlook of your nation, I feel it may be too late for you to cut taxes considering your incomes and costs are very high, because tax cuts create growth and will further exacerbate this situation. An automobile takes up almost one's entire salary in the poorest bracket and you're paying way too much for gasoline. Keep in mind, these automobiles and their fuels, they're of very high quality, which contributes to their costs. The demand is there because you're a nation of 3+ Billion with a very high level of technology and low unemployment. People are busy and they need to get to where they're going. Residential Property costs are out of control, but rents are reasonable.

Your entire nation seems to be one never ending city, with the average residential property being large buildings housing hundreds of apartments. The automobiles seem to be self driving and almost fully autonomous. It seems the only remedy I can think of for your ever rising costs is to specialize your economy (not completely or to a point of insanity) toward a vital industry. You're at a level where you need to strategically import products from your region that your nation would already be terrible at making anyway. The only way you can put this into action is to answer issues that would allow you to preserve what you want and implode what you don't want.

Keep your taxes where they're at until you have found the industry you want to depend on domestically and have imploded the ones you don't want. As your economy heals from the damage, cut taxes to stimulate demand and spending.

Thank you very much for your contribution and your view of the economic landscape of our nation.
I must say that housing in our country is an obligation of the State (that is, the government) to provide decent and free housing (due to the high taxes charged) even for people who have nationality (immigrants) or double citizenship. The government must provide the needs and services of a home (LP gas, water, electricity, internet "because they are smart houses or artificial intelligence and they need it", ...) at the beginning a bonus is given so that people furnish their home. This service is from the government and this as a Social Program for development, therefore citizens must send an application (this does not apply to people who are licensed to be in our nation, in that type a space is assigned as temporary housing) . In the end they will be able to choose where to live so that it is close to community services (museum, school, police, etc.) and commercial areas, either in the state of origin or in another state to live.

Taking into account the previous statistics, how do you consider the economic outlook of the nation?
In my opinion it is very efficient in terms of production and purchasing power.

You only have so many tools at your disposal that allow you to uphold your values of the Government supplying the housing to each according to their need. Because residential property costs have dramatically outpaced your highest of wealthy incomes, rents have shot up as a way to vent these economic pressures. I would try to keep your exchange rate at where it currently is but answer issues in favor of raising incomes. Take into account the language of the issue itself. If you think that one decision on an issue that has nothing to do with raising incomes may actually raise them as a consequence of the outcome, choose that particular outcome. The bottom line is you need to get your rents and your property costs below what your wealthiest are making and keep it going lower to where even your upper middle class can reach it. Naturally, rents will drop and property costs will drop as coiled up demand is spent.
NS stats are canon. We are not a copy of the United States of America, just a nation with American elements. The large star in the middle of our flag is to symbolize the executive nation as a uniting force while the crown above is to symbolize that this executive nation also has central banking powers. We are still a democratic republic, with a president, two houses of congress, and a judicial branch.

Subtract the starting date exchange rate from the end date exchange rate and divide by the starting date exchange rate. Multiply by 100 and your answer is the rate as a percentage.
