Background: The Argo-class is a relatively budget-friendly option, allowing nations that do not have the desire or budget capability to arm themselves with nuclear-propelled military craft, or those who do not want to run the risks inherent in bringing nuclear-powered craft close to defended shores. Based broadly on the Anagonian Export Program’s ELPD-1107 Export 1107 Class Export Amphibious Transport Dock, the Argo-class is upgraded in several important ways by Hammond Motors, substantially by adding improved radar systems similar to those used in other Allanean landing ships, as well as improved weapons systems and ATT launchers.

Moreover, the Argo class carries an improved engine system, enabling it to achieve a top speed of 25 knots, crucial both in terms of deployment speeds and in terms of maneuver in the last approach moments of a landing assault.

Production of the Argo-class is expected to be in both Hammond Motors’ shipyards in Anagonia and at their facilities in Allanea, and ordering parties are contributing to the economies of both of these counties.
