Welcome to Urbina Motorworks, Excellence of Motion. Founded in 1728 by Henrick Urbina of ViZion City, Urbina was dedicated to making some of the nations most luxurious coaches. Offering impressive ride, plush interiors, and surprisingly light weight for its luxury, it became one of the predominant coach makers for the wealthy. Starting in 1902, after initially fighting this new self-powered coach industry, company management under the direction of Stephen Urbina, changed course and began learning the ways of automotive engineering.

Today, Urbina is a top-level luxury brand in ViZion, and one of its biggest domestic success stories in that segment - along with Limburg and Ando-Trephin. It now seeks to follow in their foot steps for the first time to the global market with the launch of two specialized vehicles.

The last time we produced the Biscayne, it was winning races in the 1960's in its stunning shooting brake design - and it is back. Available globally, the GT Sport variant is the current top level Biscayne, utilizing our F1 inspired 4.0L V8 placed midship and powering all four wheels. This spectacular engine emits a truly glorious F1 song, especially as it nears its 8,000 RPM redline.

The engine, the Spec8 1S, takes its inspiration from our F1 team, however with tuning made to make the vehicle more useful and enjoyable on the roads while still able to rip through a course on track days.

we intend to launch Urbina Motorworks within South Africa (West Bromwich Holme). Our company is an official importer for Celsan's sub-brands and we parallel-import Honda, Mercedes-Benz and Mitsubishi vehicles within South Africa (West Bromwich Holme), mainly to its exclaves.

Our customer research has found the Luciana is the vehicle most buyers want; we do not intend to sell the Biscayne GT Sport here.

Our company intends to market the Luciana, and would like permission to market it in base, SVE, CDI SVE and V10 trim levels.

We also would like to know if we can modify the Luciana for our local market to offer two smaller engines for local preferences:

4.0-litre/463bhp V8 biturbo (Mercedes-Benz M176 DE40 AL engine) - badged as 4.0 V8 460

3.0-litre/335bhp 6-cylinder turbodiesel (Mercedes-Benz OM656 DE29 LA engine) - badged as 3.0 CDI 335

Greetings Daksh Tamhanakar,

Thank you for reaching out to us! While we are certainly interested in working with to to import our vehicles to West Bromwich Holme, we do have some concerns. Being a top-level luxury brand, we currently do not offer anything smaller than a V8, and no not build diesels. In addition, our clientele do not tend to go for while as small as you mentioned. Should we get any special orders for smaller wheels, we can certainly work on that for a special order but they would be one-off specialty build wheels.

The diesels, meanwhile, simply do not possess the smoothness and refinement our clients have come to expect from our world-class hand build engines. We are working on a hybrid version of this vehicle in the near future that might be more suited for that role, however, offering improved efficiency and torque - something our engines are already extremely capable of producing - than a diesel will.

We are open to bringing the Urbina Luciana and Urbina Luciana Alton along with the top-shelf Urbina Luciana Vitalita should you be interested, and we do have similar wheel designs - although starting at 20" - to your proposed designs. You can see some examples here for the Luciana and the Luciana Alton. The Luciana is powered by a twin turbo 6.00 liter V8 producing 449 horsepower at 6500 RPM and 671 lb-ft of torque at 2800 RPM, while the Alton version is powered by a 7.51L V10 putting down 471 horsepower at 7300 RPM and 802 lb-ft of torque at 2400 RPM.

Both of these engines produce tremendous power and motivate this massive luxury sedan quickly and with ease should someone not wish to reach for the largest engine, our 8.05L V12.

Please review this and understand we have strict requirements on our vehicles to ensure there is no watering-down of our brand for our clients.

Thank you for your reply.

We only have distribution rights for South Africa, not the entire continent of West Bromwich Holme in full; as such we are limiting sales to its exclaves to ensure exclusivity. The rest of the continent and its constituent nations have separate distributors.

With regard to the Luciana, we accept your suggestion of the 6.0-litre/335kW (449hp) V8 model and we intend to offer just this engine and the 7.5-litre/610.3kW (818.5hp) V12 engine.

Are we allowed to offer trim levels, or is it just one trim level, well-equipped available with both engines? In general, what is Urbina Motorworks' policy on this?

Thank you for clarifying everything so far; your brand is our first major luxury brand other than Mercedes-Benz.

Greetings Daksh Tamhanakar,

I greatly appreciate you bringing these questions you have to me, and thank you for clarifying where the vehicles will be sold through you. There are three trim levels, mostly pertaining to the engine and some styling aspects. Features are available on the trim levels. The Vitalita trim, however, is a specialty trim level in which is only offered in 2+2 captains chairs setup with a focus on essentially first-class travel. As such, there is additional standard features and additional focus on sound isolation, such as more insulation behind the engine bay, the trunk, and under the vehicle.

Since you will be forgoing the V10 engine choice, the trim levels are simply the Urbina Luciana with the V8, and the limited edition Urbina Luciana Vitality edition with the V12. Should you decide to add the V10 option, that is on the Alton trim level.

Please also be aware that we came across a typo in your original application, as it says you expect to sell 18,000 of these a year. We sell only 100 units per 1 billion people, and the Vitalita general has a take rate of 1 for every 5 sold.

The color pallet we offer is extensive as our vehicles are typically custom ordered, and can be anything from matte finish, to colored carbon fiber, to pearlescent, or even mirror chrome finishes. Of course, black, white, silver, and grey are the most popular colors, we do get requests for different colors as well, such as bronze, traditional black carbon fiber, high gloss deep red, and so much more.
