What is the TISE?
The Tilten International Stock Exchange is an electronic stock market exchange that represents companies from around the world and allows them to raise capital by selling stock, also known as shares of their company. The purpose of the TISE is to facilitate the exchange of stocks between buyers and sellers, thus creating a marketplace. The exchange will provide real-time trading information on the listed company stock and will function 24 hours a day to allow investors from all nations to trade.
Taxation is may also be a major consideration for many investors when entering any exchange. These taxes include capital gains tax on dividends and stocks held for an extended period of two weeks or longer. As the TISE is an international stock exchange, it does not have a tax of its own, so the only tax the investors may need to consider is that of their own country of residency.
How Does it Work?
When a company decides to sell stock, or take the company public, the company is selling partial ownership of their business. The official owner of the company will make an IPO (initial public offering), which is the process by which a private company issues its first shares of stock for public sale. The investors who buy those stocks become shareholders (partial owners) of that company and receive corporate voting rights. This means that the shareholder has a say in who is elected to the board of directors of that company. In addition, investors may receive dividends (a share of the company's profits) from time to time, but this is decision made by the board of directors. If the decision to pay dividends to shareholders is made, this payment usually occurs four times a year (quarterly), twice a year (semi-annually), or monthly.
Participants in the stock market range from small individual stock investors to larger investors, and can have access anywhere in the world. Large investors include organizations such as banks, insurance companies, and other financial companies, but the private investor is much more common. The exchange of a stock from one investor to another occurs when the price at which the buyer desires the stock (the bid) matches the price at which the seller wishes to sell (the ask). Each transaction takes place on a first-come, first-served basis.
