Background: As part of its ongoing effort to spread its presence to Imeriata, as well as to secure a broader resource base for its manufacturing element, Hammond Motors, Allanea’s larger manufacturer of trucks and shipping equipment (such as cargo ships), has developed the Bovid, a mid-range tactical truck that is capable of being used for military operations as well as find a niche for itself in Imeriata. To promote this, the truck is assembled in Imeriata, and a large percentage of its parts are ordered there.

The Bovid was designed by an Imerian expert team to be able to meet the requirements of Imerian aesthetic tastes and to brave the harsh environments of rural Imeriata. For this reason, it utilizes a conventional cab, both for aesthetic appeal and ease of maintenance. Internally, the design was handled by Allanean engineers who fitted it with Allanean creature comforts and safety equipment, including an air conditioner capable of either heating the cabin (in the Imerian winter) or cooling it (in the Diyaristani summer).

It is equipped also with an electronic emergency stop system, in the event that an obstacle or a pedestrian suddenly appears on the road, as well as cameras for viewing obstacles on all sides of the vehicle and logging potential safety incidents.

The 6x6 design makes it feasible for the Bovid to handle harsh terrain, such as rocky, muddy, or sandy environments. This is useful both for resupplying tactical elements in the field and for work in industries where one may need to depart from the paved roads, such as the lumber, oil, and power industry.

Variants: As all trucks, the Bovid exists in a variety of variants, but here we will restrict ourselves to list only a few of the possible upgrades.

Bovid Work RV - In some cases, teams of employees might need to remain at a remote location for weeks at a time. The Bovid Work RV has the rear of the truck modified into a small mobile home with bunk beds for up to 4 employees, multiple USB plugs for personal devices, and air conditioning/heating, as well as a small shower/bathroom combo.

Bovid Armor Kit - This is a ballistic armor kit available for military and civilian buyers for refitting the Bovid for hazardous operation, and shields cabin and other important elements of the vehicle from small arms fire and shrapnel. This kit, and the Auto-Drive kit below, can be installed locally by the drivers or support staff.

Auto-Drive - This is a simple kit fitting to the vehicle’s controls and cabin, with electronic sensors and actuators, enabling the vehicle to operate either with complete or partial autonomy, including “platooning” operations where several vehicles automatically trail one with a human driver. [The exact details may differ based on your nation’s local laws and regulations. his kit, and the armor kit above, can be installed locally by the drivers or support staff.

OOC: The talented artist who made this is none other but Imeriata. Please contact him if you want art made.

For making military purchases, go through the usual "my nation wants X many trucks".

For civilian purchases, it's best to go with "X trucks per year are sold in my nation". Bear in mind that Mack Trucks sells something like 15,000-20,000 trucks per year in the US, so sales should really be in thousands or tens of thousands of trucks.

For FT nations, it's totally possible for a FT version of this truck with some FUTURE engine to exist.
