Welcome to BlueSteel Marine Construction, a new shipbuilding operation based in Trixtoria. We operate a large shipyard that was originally built with assistance from Silverport Dockyards, and is now wholly-owned by BlueSteel. This yard features two large dry-docks capable of building super-carriers, four smaller dry-docks for conventional naval ships, and a brand-new land-based facility that will allow faster building using assembly-line methods.
Ships are built-to-order in a first come, first serve basis. Due to limited yard space, fleet carriers will take longer if there are many orders waiting. Smaller ships should build faster with our new land facility, in which hulls are constructed and outfitted with propulsion on land, moved into one of two floating dry-docks, and lowered into the water. They are then moved to one of our fitting-out piers for final assembly and trials.
You may have noticed a lack of propellers and rudders among our designs. This is because we use our own system of HydroThrusters for propulsion. These are large, advanced forms of the smaller impeller-driven water-jets found in small recreational craft. This system offers more efficiency and is less vulnerable than normal propellers, and for the smaller ships allows greater control over maneuverability.
All of our products come with a 100% operational guarantee, and a complete systems/hull warranty for the first five years of operation. Nuclear powered ships can return to our yards for refueling at the end of their cores' operational life, usually twenty years.
We offer a discount on bulk orders for non-carriers, at 5% off for every set of ten ships ordered, for a max. of 40%.

The Austino-class was designed to be a coastal and fishery patrol vessel. It can also serve as a scouting ship for larger fleet units. Built using a smaller version of our Common Hull Form, it features rugged and modular engines and systems, built for ease-of-maintenance. Standard armaments are three 30mm auto-cannons on three single mounts, but these can be swapped for other systems as needed. A fourth universal mount is included on the bow. Two 20mm CIWS are also included for close range protection. A single light helicopter can be stored in the hanger. The ship does feature the LCARS-3s 3D radar and combat system, making it easy to integrate with other ships using the same systems. Side doors make launching small boats simpler, allowing the Austino-class to act as an enforcement and interdiction vessel.

The Alters-class frigate is a shorter, more cost-effective version of our Intrepid-class destroyer. Built from our Common Hull Form, it trades the two VLS systems for a single 8-cell missile launcher on the bow and two 30mm auto-cannons. Less flexibility is traded for lower cost and simpler maintenance. Speed and range is kept, as is the LCARS-3 systems and engine layout. They can serve as patrol ships, ocean escorts, and fleet support roles. Intended for smaller navies looking to expand with modern ships but still need to save on the budget, the Alters-class frigates are the perfect starting point.

The Intrepid-class was designed to be a new general purpose destroyer for the Trixtorian Federal Defense Force. It's purpose is to defend fleet and shore assets from sea and air attacks, with a secondary ASW mission. It is the first ship built from our Common Hull Form. The design allows for ease of construction within a short time frame, and features modular components, from electronics to weapons systems. Even the engines/generators can be easily replaced, as the flight deck is designed to be removed, along with the armor deck below it, giving access to the two engine bays. The hull is built as one piece for strength, then various modules (engines, weapons, etc) are installed as needed. Detection systems include standard navigational radars, bow-mounted sonar (for slow-speed operations), and the LCARS-3 3D search radar and combat system. Standard weapons load-out includes: four 4-in auto guns in two twin turrets fore and aft; two 30mm CIWS automatic anti-missile guns; two 25-cell VLS systems that feature universal rails for most missiles (including short range "quad-packed" AAW missiles); four 12.75in torpedo tubes in two rotating mounts on either side of the hull; and four universal mounting points for additions systems as needed. Finally, the hanger at the stern can support a single light or medium sized helicopter.

The Furious-class cruiser is the largest ship built form our Common Hull Form, with extra length in the hull and a taller superstructure with gives space for an admiral and staff, allowing these to serve as command ships. The enhanced LCARS-3x system gives greater fleet control abilities to serve this function. It is well armed for fleet defense, with three twin 4in turrets, a 50-cell VLS, and an extra 8-cell launcher mounted amidships. Four 30mm auto-cannons and two 20mm CIWS provide short-range defense. The larger hanger can store two medium helicopters in folded configuration. While large, these ships are still built with our modular systems, allowing for simpler construction and refitting. They make excellent command ships for a flotilla of Intrepid-class destroyers, or as an air-defense ship for a larger aircraft carrier.

The Trixtor-class light carrier is a perfect complement to larger fleet units. It can easily perform missions such as escort, ASW hunter, CAP for larger carriers, and ground support. Two small TRG-8 nuclear reactors provide nearly unlimited range, and have a 25-year fuel life. While their air group is smaller that larger fleet carriers, this allows more mission specific operations. Strike aircraft for supporting ground forces, or small fighters to protect larger carriers in fleet operations. Helicopters can also be operated for a ASW hunter-killer mission. The Trixtor-class is the perfect support ship for your larger fleet carriers, or the perfect starter carrier for a small navy.

Nuclear propulsion provides unlimited range with a projected 25-30 years before refueling, and the advanced LCARS-5x 3D radar and combat systems keep it linked to the rest of the combat force. Capable of handling over 75 aircraft, it can launch them via new electromagnetic catapults, a major advancement over steam powered systems. Similar technology powers the landing system, allowing for faster aircraft recovery times.
