Cartoon Imperial Studios is a key studio for all major film industries wanting any cartoon and anime action. All anime, cartoon productions made here are exported to other film studios under studio names where voices are dubbed over and added edits are made to accommodate national broadcasting compliance.
History
The studio was founded in Acme Falls, The now entertainment capital of The Acme Island Province, on June 6 of 1925, formally known as JibJab Studios, founded by brothers Mark Jibjab and Samuel Jibjab. They made silent comedies and hired locals, some of which were of from Histeria Village during the time of The Kiddington Street theatre craze, to make some of the most prominent animated film, most of them commissioned by Walt Disney and Max Fleischer. During the war, The studio was commissioned by Governor Dickson to produce propaganda films for the war effort. These became successes and by 1950, became an influential studio in Cartoonia.
In 1954, after independence, the studio was renamed to Cartoon International Pictures Incorporated, producing and exporting cartoons and anime films for several companies around the world. During the Cold War, Both The United States and The Soviet Union both patronized Cartoon International to produce propaganda shorts for their respective countries. Television was also on the way in as Cartoon International produced Cartoons for American Television including the many cartoon of William Hanna and Joseph Barbera. In the 1960s, Cartoon International began to produce Japanese anime for Osamu Tezuka and Mushi Productions beginning with Astro-Boy. In the late 1970s, the studio has reached all corners of the globe, like an empire. It was also the time that Cartoonia, the country the studio was in, was beginning a path of empire. Thus, Studio CEO William “Billy” Wilhelm renamed the studio to Cartoon Imperial Studios. It began to export more shows and films to other studios and by the 1990s, following the success of cartoons like Animaniacs, The Simpsons, and Pokemon, Cartoon Imperial Studios became one of the wealthiest companies in Cartoonia and became richer in 2002 when the company became public on the stock exchange and continued to flourish even during the Great Recession of 2008.
Today it remains the heart of the animation industry, filming cartoon actions to other studios to reanimate or redub over scenes to make Cartoon magic. It has seen ups and downs. Some shows have reached over the park, others not even close to bat. Some partnerships with CIS have been terminated for numerous reasons. Recently it has severed ties with Funimation following the Mignogna Controversy, or “Animegate” as some citizens call it. It continues to thrive today in Cartoonia, and it’s sub-operations around Cartoonia's imperial territories.
The Studio
CEO of Cartoon Imperial Studios, Duke Philips
Cartoon Imperial Studios hosts a lot of sound stages, since the studio purchased thousands of acres of land from the Acme Falls property authority, and the acquisition of smaller studios, it has a lot of room to spread the studio borders. From the massive sets used in Fairy Tail and Fullmetal Alchemist, to the sitcom houses of Family Guy and The Simpsons. When needed, CIS goes all around Cartoonia to film on location to get the aesthetic of viewers actually being there. The studio uses local talents in the area, as well as call citizens and train them to be actors. Some of the greatest roles in CIS history were actors who weren’t actors by trade, but trained to be good actors. For example,
Tamaki Suoh, Owner of The Suoh Garment Factory, former Ouran Host Club President. Actor of Ouran HighSchool Host Club
Homer Simpson, First Lieutenant of The Fourth Cartoon Army, 23rd Springfield Brigade. Actor of The Simpsons
Erza Scarlet, Former Chancellor of Cartoonia, S-Class Wizard of Fairy Tail, General of The Cartoon Seventh Army. Actor of Fairy Tail
Loud Kiddington, Founder and President of the Kiddington Toy Manufacturing Company. Former Secretary of Treasury. Actor of Histeria!
ETC.
It sends scenes overseas to other studios to do as they please. This ends up in partnerships with other studios which CIS will provide funds to help the studio flourish.
