About Us

The Ibica Port Association is the unified voice of the seaport industry in Ibica, representing all 13 Port Authorities in the nation. For more than a century, IPA membership has empowered port authorities and their maritime industry partners to serve global customers and create economic and social value for their communities. Our events, resources and partnerships connect, inform and unify seaport leaders and maritime professionals who deliver prosperity around the globe. For its members, IPA provides compelling advocacy and effective public outreach to influence seaports’ most urgent public policy issues. Today, IPA continues to promote the common interests of the port community, and provides critical industry leadership on security, trade, transportation, infrastructure, environmental and other issues related to port development and operations

  • Albany, Angola
    The Port of Albany , operated by the Albany Port Authority (APA), consists of three main facilities: Rayford Island Terminal, Lewisham Terminal and the Albany Cruise Terminal. The Rayford Island Terminal is located 11 nautical miles from the Bosphorus. The 173-acre (0.70 km2) facility handles automobiles, liquid bulk commodities, break bulk cargo and containerized cargo. With six container cranes, on-dock rail service and a 160,000 sq ft (15,000 m2) transit shed, the terminal can process frozen, refrigerated or ambient cargo on 4,780 feet (1,460 m) of deepwater (38 feet (12 m)) berthing space. A warehouse of 500,000 square feet (46,000 m2) is available to store many types of cargoes. The Lewisham Terminal is a 600-acre (2.4 km2) Terminal, Situated one mile (1.6 km) downstream from Rayford Island on the main shipping channel. Lewsiham presently has only a 158-acre Container Terminal. Space is available to store bulk aggregate material or for new facilities to be built. The Albany Cruise Terminal contains 63,000 sq ft (5,900 m2); the baggage handling area is 28,000 sq ft (2,600 m2); and a passenger embarkation section has 15,000 sq ft (1,400 m2). Vehicle access to the site is via MIddleport Road and there is paved parking for over 1800 cars. The Port of Albany is served by the Albion Southern & Cartier Railway, as well as the Oceanview Line of the Southern Ibica Railroad and the East Shore Line of Angola Brightline. The Port is also served by Interstates 10 and 95.

  • Buena Vista, Romane
    The Port of Buena Vista has facilities for oceangoing vessels lining both sides of the Harding River approximately 18 miles (29 km) inland. Operated by the Romane Ports Authority (RPA). The Port of Buena Vista consists of two main facilities: Buena Vista Container Terminal and the Harding Terminal. The Buena Vista Terminal is a secured, dedicated container terminal. The 1,200-acre (5 km2) single-terminal facility features 9,693 feet (2,955 m) of continuous berthing and more than 1.3 million square feet (120,000 m2) of covered storage. The terminal is equipped with fifteen high-speed container cranes, as well as an extensive inventory of yard handling equipment. The Harding Terminal is a secured, dedicated breakbulk facility specializing in the rapid and efficient handling of a vast array of forest and solid wood products, steel, RoRo (Roll-on / Roll-off), project shipments and heavy-lift cargoes. The 208-acre (0.8 km2) facility features 6,688 feet (2,039 m) of deepwater berthing, approximately 1.5 million square feet (140,000 m2) of covered storage and 96 acres (390,000 m2) of open, versatile storage. The port authority opened the $22 million Buena Vista Public Dock and Terminal in 2015 to attract cruise ships. The two-story, 21,000 square foot terminal is located just outside the Buena Vista Terminal and includes a 250-foot off-shore wharf. A customs processing area is located on the first floor of the terminal building, and a public lounge and open-air balcony is located on the second floor. The Port of Buena Vista is served by the Albion Southern & Cartier Railway, as well as the Oceanview Line of the Southern Ibica Railroad. The Port is also served by Interstate 95.

  • Carsonville, East Monroe
    The Port of Carsonville has facilities along the Gulf of Angola, operated by the East Monroe Maritime Administration (EMMA). The Port of Carsonville consists of the Young Street Container Terminal, K Street Liquid Bulk Terminal, and roll on/roll off Treston Wharf. The port is served by both the Albion Southern & Cartier and United Western railways, as well as highway connections to Interstate 10 and State Highway 1

  • Columbia, Edward Island
    The Port of Columbia lines the shore of Columbia Bay on the west side of the city. Operated by the Port of Columbia Authority (PCA). The Port of Columbia consists of three main facilities: James Container Terminal, Caymen Marine Terminal, and the Columbia Cruise Terminal. The James Container Terminal is a 300-acre single-terminal facility features 3000 feet of continuous berthing and more than 600,000 square feet of covered storage. The terminal is equipped with ten high-speed container cranes, as well as an extensive inventory of yard handling equipment. The Caymen Marine Terminal is a breakbulk facility specializing in the rapid and efficient handling of a vast array of forest and solid wood products, steel, Roll-on / Roll-off, project shipments and heavy-lift cargoes. The facility features 6,688 feet (2,039 m) of deepwater berthing and storage facilities lining Bayshore Drive. The Columbia Cruise Terminal is a two-story, 21,000 square foot terminal that includes a 250-foot off-shore wharf. A customs processing area is located on the first floor of the terminal building, and a public lounge and open-air balcony is located on the second floor. The Port is served by the local transit services, and is connected to Territorial Highway 1 by Harbor Drive..

  • Coronado, Ochoa
    Operated by the Union County Navigation District, the Port of Coronado has facilities along the Bosphorus. The Port of Coronado consists of a 284 acres (112 ha) Container Terminal, and a 90-acre (36.1 ha) bulk, liquid, and breakbulk facility. The District also owns a 200 acre undeveloped area along the coast reserved for future expansion. The port is served by the Albion Southern & Cartier Railway, as well as highway connections to Interstate 95 and National Routes 15 and 64. Coronado is also a stop on the Oceanview line of the Southern Ibica Railroad.

  • Elizabeth City, Angola
    The Port of Elizabeth City, operated by the Port Authority of Elizabeth City (PAEC), consists of two container terminals, a bulk break facility, and a cruise terminal. Container ships are handled by the Prince George Container Terminal and the Westport Container Terminal. Covering a combined 500 acres, the terminals have intermodal connections to the Albion Southern & Cartier and United Western Railways. The Lewisham Terminal is a 600-acre (2.4 km2) Terminal, Situated one mile (1.6 km) downstream from Rayford Island on the main shipping channel. The Elizabeth Marine Terminal is a 200-acre facility handles automobiles, liquid bulk commodities, and break bulk cargo. A warehouse of 500,000 square feet (46,000 m2) is available to store many types of cargoes. The Port also operates the 35th Street Passenger Wharf, more commonly know as the Port Elizabeth Cruise Terminal. The 400,000 sq foot facility has space for 5 cruise ships to be docked at a time, as well as space for private vessels. The Elizabeth City Subway connects the terminal to the Elizabeth Central Terminal railroad station, served by multiple lines of the Angola Brightline and the Southern Ibica Railroad.

  • Lafayette, Cartier
    The Port of Lafayette, operated by the Cartier Port Authority, has a 3,435-foot (1,047 m) wharf face along the Folese River with depths of 35–38 feet (11–12 m) alongside. There are nine berths facing the river, including seven general cargo berths, one petroleum berth, one floating roll-on/roll-off (RoRo) berth. Cargo handling facilities include two 50-ton capacity gantry cranes and one 75-ton capacity gantry crane. The port has 50 acres (0.20 km2) of open space for storage, 250,000 square feet (23,000 m2) of dry warehouse space, and six temperature-controlled warehouses totaling 816,000 square feet (75,800 m2) of storage space. The port is served by the Albion Southern & Cartier Railroad and is located near National Route 19. The Seamen's Center, located in the Port of Lafayette complex, provides services to visiting seamen such as entertainment, transportation, and spiritual guidance.

  • Laurel, Romane
    Port Laurel, operated as a department of the City of Laurel, consists of a Roll-on/roll-off dock; 90 acres of open storage; 562,460 sq ft of covered storage; rail storage; a 1,100 ft diameter turning basin; and a 3.5 million bushel capacity grain elevator. The port has the largest harbor mobile crane in the northern East Coast region, a 140 mettric ton capacity crane with a 168-foot extension. The port also has two marine terminals. The Romane Street wharf has 108,900 sq ft of covered storage and 1,435 ft of harbor front. The Navel Partner Terminal, located on 250 acres of land, has barge and ship docks, neighboring Naval Base Laurel.The Port is also served by Interstates 70 and 95.

  • Olympia, Angola
    The Port of Greater Olympia, operated by the Port Authority of Greater Olympia (PAGO), consists of 3 container terminals, a bulk break facility, and a liquid bulk facility. The main area of the port, along the Bosphorus coast consists of the Olympia and Jones Cut Container Terminals as well as the Wright Marine Terminal (a breakbulk and roll on/role off facility). These terminals together make up 1,200 acre facility, including the port administration, Port Police, and Port Fire Department headquarters. The Angola LNG Terminal is a 200-acre facility that liquid bulk commodities, mostly liquefied natural gas. The port also operates the Port York Marine Terminal in Port York, Angola, that mainly handles containerized freight, but also serves general cargo bound for Brickhaven Island, as well as the Ferry service and rail barge to the island. The port is served by all three major freight railroads, as well as a connection to the Brickhaven Railway, and has connections to Interstate 69, National Route 105, and State Highway 1

  • Parkland, Petra
    The Port of Parkland, operated by the Petra Port Authority (PPA), consists of three main facilities: Parkland Marine Terminal, Royal Oil Terminal and the Petra Container Terminal. The Parkland Marine Terminal is located along the Gulf of Albion. The 245-acre facility handles automobiles, liquid bulk commodities, and break bulk cargo. With six cranes, on-dock rail service and a 160,000 sq ft (15,000 m2) transit shed, the terminal can process frozen, refrigerated or ambient cargo on 4,780 feet (1,460 m) of deepwater (38 feet (12 m)) berthing space. A warehouse of 500,000 square feet (46,000 m2) is available to store many types of cargoes. The Royal Oil Terminal is a liquid bulk terminal primarily used by Albion Oil. The Petra Container Terminal is a 200-acre (2.4 km2) terminal, Situated one mile (1.6 km) upstream from the Parkland Marine Terminal on the Petra River. The Port is served by the Albion Southern & Cartier, Hamilton International, and United Western railways, as well as the Coastal Flyer and Albion Heartland routes of the SMCN Railroad and the Parklander route of the Western Ibica Regional Railroad. The Port is also served by Interstate 370, National Route 48, and State Highways 7 and 9.

  • St. Clarke, Albion
    The Port of St. Clarke, operated by the Royal County Port Commission (RCPC), consists of the Clarke Container Terminals, Fondren Marine Terminal, and St. Clarke Cruise Terminal. Container ships are handled by the Clarke Container Terminal, covering a combined 500 acres, the terminal has intermodal connections to the Albion Southern & Cartier and Hamilton International Railways. The Fondren Marine Terminal is a 600-acre (2.4 km2) terminal, near several ship builders, that handles automobiles, liquid bulk commodities, and break bulk cargo. A warehouse of 500,000 square feet (46,000 m2) is available to store many types of cargoes. The Port also operates the Market Street Passenger Terminal, more commonly know as the St. Clarke Cruise Terminal. The 200,000 sq foot facility has space for 3 cruise ships to be docked at a time, as well as space for private vessels. The port has connections to Interstates 70 and 75, and National Route 74. St. Clarke is also served by the Albion Heartland, Coastal Flyer, and Troy-St. Clarke Express routes of the SMCN Railroad and the St. Clarke Express route of the Western Ibica Regional Railroad.

  • Raleigh, Haviland
    The Port of Raleigh has four berths, adjacent to its compound, with 2,700 linear feet of wharf space alongside dredged depths of 28 to 35 feet. Pier F-3 is used primarily for fishing vessel and tenants performing fishing operations while Piers F-4 to F-6 accommodates containerships and general cargo vessels and passenger ships. Future infrastructure developments include the construction of Pier F-7 extending the wharf by 900 linear feet. Each of these four berths can service container vessels with a maximum beam of 33.55 meters. The Port is served by Territorial Highways 3 and 101, as well as the Hamilton International Railroad.

  • Willmington, West Monroe
    The Port of Willmington, operated by the Capital Harbor Commission (CHC), consists of five main facilities: Carter Container Terminal, National Marine Terminal, Rock Creek Container Terminal, Federal Wharf and the Petra Container Terminal. Container Terminals are located along the Bosphorus shore. The combined 670-acre facilities handle containerized cargo with intermodal facilities serviced by Albion Southern & Cartier and United Western railroads. The National Marine Terminal is a liquid bulk terminal 15 miles west of Willmington. The Federal Wharf consists of a mile of roll on/roll off berths along the western bank of the Cooper River. The Port is also served by Interstates 10 and 410.
