Danielle McNamara, Senior Vice President of International Retail, and Greg Crossley, Senior Vice President of International Products, smiled brightly as they tapped their whisky glasses together.

"Cheers," said Danielle, taking a sip.

"Cheers," repeated Greg before seeing to his own drink.

The two Perim Nealon Regal Group executives had plenty to be happy about.

"Did you see how excited the board got about United Kingdom of Vionna-Frankenlisch?" asked Danielle triumphantly.

"It's a market of 10 billion with a solid economy, we definitely want to get our foot in the door there," said Greg. "They're a good get."

"Well, hopefully their Pinewood Industries proves to be as good of a catch," said Danielle.

Greg pointed at his tie. "You like this?"

Danielle raised an eyebrow. "Is that a Pinewood? That's nice, I like that."

Greg nodded, satisfied. "I think Pinewood is going to do just fine at Nealon's."

"It's always a risk when we start carrying a new brand, but if it's good enough for your wardrobe, I'm sure they'll do well," joked Danielle.

"I've been trying out a lot of the new brands, and they haven't let me down," said Greg. "I just got a new nightstand from Northern Bedding, beautiful wood, it's great."

"Northern Bedding... Northern Home Improvement Inc, right? From the National Republic of Thermodolia?" asked Danielle.

"You got it," said Greg. "My wife has been wanted a nice wood nightstand for months, she said our said our old one lacked character."

"Good wood does have a nice character," agreed Danielle.

The two paused as a attractive blonde young woman in a suit came by with a cart. On the cart was a stainless steel bucket, from which she used a pair of steel tongs to pull out ice cubes.

"Mr. Peterson said you two could use some ice," she said, smiling.

"Right here, thanks," said Greg, returning the smile.

"None for me, I drink it neat," said Danielle.

After the woman had left with her cart, Danielle smirked at Greg.

"What?" asked Greg.

Danielle simply raised an eyebrow.

"Danielle, I am a married man!" said Greg, laughing. "That, and HR would have my ass!"

"Yes, and you'd better not forget it," said Danielle, laughing as well. "I swear to Zeus and Jesus and all the rest, I'll testify at your divorce hearing myself if it ever comes to it."

"Believe me, you don't have to worry about it," said Greg. "In fact, I'm more interested in what you have to say about Kandonica and the Democratic Republic of The Indonesian Peoples."

Danielle gestured vaguely. "We'll see. The economy's strong in Kandonica but they're not a powerhouse, not yet. The Democratic Republic of The Indonesian People looks to be a little better. Both are growing, I think we'll be okay in both. The Confederacy of Neu Engollon too, they're around that size, a little smaller at 38 million people."

"38 million people but a very strong economy, and it looks like a nice place," said Greg. "Lots of mountains. I might like to ski there some day."

"And they've got an autobahn system," said Danielle. "You know we'll be making overtures there, we want into their auto market."

"Sometimes I think Automotive Division really should be cutting you commission cheques," said Greg.

Danielle laughed. "Well, they keep giving us luxury sedans for consumer lottery draws, that gets some interest in the stores, so that's good enough for me," she said.

"Do you know much about the company that's supposed to be our partner for the Neu Engollonian expansion? Burgunden Diversified Industries?" asked Greg.

"Bruce Hartford is going to be my pointman on discussions with them," said

"Oh!" said Greg, snapping his fingers. "I just remembered, did you see the proposal from Terembev?"

"Terembev from Neu Engollon, yes, they wanted to provide alcoholic and soft beverages for our special events," said Danielle. "I haven't had a chance to try any of their drinks out yet, although Regan Trainer says that Burgunden Breus is quite good."

"It is," said Greg. "I think we should go for it."

Danielle nodded. "Well, I do want to try it myself, since they do offer other drinks as well. We should get a professional to try too, and probably focus groups. You know, the standard process. If they are good though, it would give us a little international flavour."

"We really are getting out there, aren't we?" said Greg. "The Kingdom of Okerne and New Transeurasia as well, I just saw those come upstairs."

"I was able to have a look at New Transeurasia before our meeting with the board today, they're a good size get at 4 billion with a strong economy. I think Okerne's going to perform solidly as well, their economy's been on an upwards trajectory for the past while," said Danielle.

"Onwards and upwards," said Greg, extending his glass.

"Onwards and upwards," replied Danielle, returning the toast.

We have conducted an analysis of the cities proposed, and we believe that Nealon's would find a profitable environment in each of them. We would like to proposethat:

• Nealon's Department Stores be located at properties owned by Burgunden Diversified Industries with the Perim Nealon Regal Group signing 30 year leases for the use of such properties, or if no such properties are available then PRNG and BDI may explore purchasing properties with shared 50/50 ownership
• Pine Grove Restaurant and Bars and/or Burgunden BreuPubs be co-located at the locations of the Nealon's Department Stores with shared parking and other services as possible
• Teremuv magazine be carried at Nealon's Department Store
• An advertising campaign be run featuring either the Burgunden Brawlers RFC or the San Remo Ospreys RFC, with Nealon's becoming the "Official Department Store" of the RFC

Additionally, we would like for the Nealon's Department Stores at Burgunden, Geneva, Panolito, and Schwartzgarten to also be co-located with a Morningstar/New Frontier automotive dealership. Particularly with Neu Engollon's well developed autobahn system and strong economy, we believe that Morningstar and New Frontier can develop niches as sophisticated imports existing alongside the domestic automotive brands. As Diamondstar has demonstrated already, the Neu Engollonian automotive marketplace can be a lucrative one for imports.

While we cannot commit to any single exclusive provider of alcoholic and soft drinks, we would like to feature the products of Terembev at our corporate and promotional events, as well as at our domestic supermarkets in the Democratic Colonies.

The Perim Nealon Regal Group operates the Vivaldi's Fresh Supermarket as well as the discount Miracle Food Mart chains in the Democratic Colonies. While neither chain operates internationally at this time, part of why Nealon's does not carry food items is to avoid competing with the Supermarkets Division of our corporate group.
