Terminal 1

Built in 1982, Terminal 1 is the oldest terminal which was overhauled in 2027 in which 20% of the original structure still stands today. This goes to all destinations, including the multiverse. Gate 1-17 is not a thing since 17 is an unlucky number in Crazybloxian culture because it was the day of the Empire’s banjection from Force. The 17th gate is always vacant.

This is the busiest terminal in the airport, and has the tightest security area with 21 officers

The Airport

Christmas International Airport, IATA code XMS and ICAO code XMAS, is an international airport located in the southern areas of Crazybloxia and is known as the air transportational point of contact with the rest of the multiverse. Construction of the airport started in 1976 and finished in 1981. The airport officially opened in 1982. It’s traffic boomed throughout the 90s, and the 2020s to 2040s. It is the second busiest airport in Crazybloxian Empire, consisting of 21 terminals which serve most domestic Crazybloxian airlines operating flights to Amelyn-2.

Portals are present in the airport as an alternative to airport, although is very expensive to maintain and thus passing one time results in a 12,000SD fee. 3,200 flights land every day taking traffic to another airport occupying an entire planet which branches out further.
HISTORY. The airport saw it’s birth in the year of 1976 when construction began. Earliest written mentions of the airport date back to 1973 during the 1971-1975 planning period.
HISTORY, Planning Period
1971-1975. Planning began in 1971 when an architecture student who graduated in 1969 proposed the idea of a new airport, as the other airports have been very inefficient and were not able to attract airlines. 1972-73 saw intensive discussion over the aesthetics and art installations for placement at the airport and eventually an agreement was reached stating that art installations would be replaced every six months.
ECONOMIC IMPORTANCE. The airport is extremely vital and would heavily impact the Empire if it is ever captured by enemies during war:
PERIMETER. The perimeter of the airport is large, being 270km in width. An electric fence consisting of 21 wires with 300 volts in the 7 lowest wires and 2kV on the rest of the electric fence. Each fence is spaced 25 centimetres apart and all wires are powered down to 1kV during maintenance on the airport excluding the electric fence.

Snipers are present at the airport and only shoot after getting permission from the sniper leader and warning the trespasser to leave.........
