In 2018, the Notorian Government came to the realization that unemployment was a problem throughout the Nation. Looking for a way to ease this problem, Ministers of the government gathered together to see how the Nation could create more jobs. Digging into where the Nation made it's most money, tourism rose to the top. What about Notoria made tourists flock to this great Nation? After an extensive survey of visitors to Notoria, the same answer seemed to be popping up. "There are so many trees," the vast amounts of tourists would say."Almost too many trees," a few folks were overhead discussing. This sparked an idea from the Minister of Labor, Franklin Geraux. He came up with the idea to pay people to cut down some of these trees. But wait... who would pay for this labor? Surely not the citizens of Notoria! The people of Notoria wouldn't stand for a tax increase just to pay people to cut down trees. So the Ministers gathered again. This time Rachel Dawn-Holloway, the Minister of Trade, spoke up. It was she that determined that the cut trees should be sold, to pay for the labor of tree cutting itself. Of course there would be a small profit in it for the government. And thus, Notoria Lumber was born. Aiding in reducing the number of pesky trees within the Nation, as well as reducing the unemployment rate, Notoria Lumber has been an essential part to the growth and development of the infantile Nation. And now YOU can reap the benefits! So what exactly does Notoria Lumber offer?
Red Oak
Notoria's most prized tree creates it's most prized commodity. Forests of Red Oaks cover the Nation, making them plentiful for Notoria Lumber customers. Red Oak trees grow to a height of 60 to 75 feet, and a spread of around 45 feet at maturity. They are readily available year-round, being numerous in Notoria, and extremely fast growers. Their height increases more than 24" per year, until maturity at about 10 years. When cut, this trees heartwood (or central pillar of a tree) shows a tinged red coloring. This makes Red Oaks exceptional for woodworking, crafts, cabinets, natural wood flooring, accent pieces for cabins, and other decorative uses. With durable hardness as one of it's primary qualities, Red Oak wood will provide a lifetime of enjoyment if properly cared for. You can order Red Oak in raw timbers, cut in 16 foot logs at anywhere from 12 inches to 16 inches in diameter.
The cost for raw timbers is $750 NSD per 1,000 BF (board feet), with a minimum order of 3,000 BF.

Traditional Oak
Traditional oak is the most common wood available, with the most uses of all the wood sold at Notoria Lumber. What sets Traditional Oak wood apart from other woods is the unique grain pattern. This grain pattern makes Traditional Oak common in wood flooring, cabinetry, furniture making, and other houseware applications. Hardy and tough, Traditional Oak is one of the longest lasting options in wood. Oak trees can be as tall as 100 feet, with a spread of up to 80 feet. These trees take approximately 150 years to mature, adding to the unique grain and toughness they bring. Because their large size allows for larger harvesting quantities, Traditional Oak is considered more cost-effective for the every day consumer who still wants a high quality product.
Traditional Oak can be purchased in raw timbers at $250 NSD per 1,000 BF, with a minimum order of 3,000 BF.

Pine
Pine is the wood of builders. Most builders use pine, also known in the construction industry as "whitewood" in basic construction applications such as houses, buildings, framework, and more. Have you ever nailed a picture or mounted a television to a stud in your home? Well you hung it to a whitewood stud. Because of their rather compact width, Pine trees can be planted close together with large quantities to a single acre. With this compact size, and the average height reaching around 50 feet, Pine wood is the most inexpensive offering at Notoria Lumber. This is a truly great value for your constructions needs, whether that be for a single subdivision of houses or an entire city.
Pine can be purchased in raw timbers at $125 NSD per 1,000 BF, with a minimum order of 6,000 BF.
