Precious Xzaxite for sale!

Greetings and salutations, I am Xzaxia's very own Minister of Mining, Rockson Stone. I'm here to tell you that Xzaxite, the precious mineral only found in Xzaxia, is now on sale!
But what makes this stone so precious? Well, it's this special property it has called thermosolidity. What that means is, in hot climates, it solidifies, and in cold climates, it liquefies! (Pure liquid at 34° Fahrenheit, Pure solid at 88° Fahrenheit.)

Xzaxite comes in three different colors:
Image
This is BROWN Xzaxite. It is very common here in Xzaxia, and you usually see it a few times a day. It costs $100 per kilogram.

Image
This is RED Xzaxite. It's still somewhat common, but it's certainly more valuable than Brown Xzaxite. It costs $200 per kilogram.

ImageThis is Indigo Xzaxite. It is very rare, and definitely the most valuable color of Xzaxite. It costs $300 per kilogram.

Please note:
Any modifications done will cost you double the price for whatever is modified.

For example, if you buy 10 kilograms of brown Xzaxite, and you want 1 kilogram modified, it will cost you $1,100 instead of $1,000.

Due to how weight changes between planets, we are selling it by mass instead of weight.

It is fully liquefied at 34° Fahrenheit, and it is fully solidified at 88° Fahrenheit. Everything between that is a gooey substance. Don't use Fahrenheit?

Any other questions or concerns? Since the port is a VERY busy one I’ll suggest the Xzaxite to be transported in the night. And I don’t have the cube button, so I replaced it with a normal three.

OOC: Alright, BS Materials Engineering freshman coming through for a good dose of realism.

Well, it's this special property it has called thermodensity. What that means is, in hot climates, it solidifies, and in cold climates, it liquefies!

What is the chemical composition of this mineral, and what is its crystalline structure (as minerals are usually crystalline in structure)? Also, the fact that it solidifies in hot climates and melts in cold climates (melting and boiling points are usually determined in a lab under controlled conditions!) is a grave violation of molecular kinetic theory; heat will endow Xzaxite's molecules with energy, and the molecules in solids will have less energy than that of liquids, and molecules of liquids will have lower energy than gas. Thus, it can't just melt all of a sudden in a cold climate, as energy would be transferred from Xzaxite's molecules to the molecules in the colder surroundings, and naturally it would solidify according to molecular kinetic theory.

Thermodensity also doesn't exist, but if it implies temperature-dependent variable density, then let me say that said property exists in all types of matter.

Sorry guys, just had to comment on this being a grave violation of chemistry principles.

Due to how weight changes between planets, we are selling it by mass instead of weight.

Ton is a constant of mass. One ton of xzaxite on your planet would be equal to one ton of xzaxite on Earth. Weight is expressed in Newtons: kg * m/s2.

Shockingly, we *do* use NS stats, with the exception of lifespan.
