About Us
The Kibbs Royal Armaments Company is a family-run corporation based in Chilton on the northern island of the INSS.
Dating back to the early days of Shackley's independence from the United Kingdom we rose to the forefront of the Shackleyan arms trade refurbishing and redistributing militaria left behind by our colonial overlords.
A staple of acquisitions in the North Atlantic, we offer our humble services to any and all with a kind smile on their face and a heavy coinpurse in their pocket.
Whether you're looking for the latest antitank weapons for your guerrilla campaign or a qualified gunsmith to take a look at grandpappy's six-shooter, here at KRA we've got you covered.

We are most pleased by your decision to purchase our full stock of 103 Chieftain tanks and are happy to see such a reasonable bid placed for them. However, due to the complications associated with transporting over 100 heavy main battle tanks we request an additional 5 million Universal Standard Dollars to cover our costs. Protecting our assets and thus ensuring customer satisfaction is very important to us, so these additional funds will go towards the security contractors necessary to make certain our products make it to their destination unharmed.

As a token of our gratitude we are only too happy to refit these tanks for no further cost; to

We are looking for a heavier battle rifle that can deal with the presence of increasingly common Level 3 body armor on the battlefield. We like the design of your rifles, but do not feel they meet the requirements of being able to pierce the newer body armor. With the presence of unpowered exoskeletons to increase load bearing even heavier body armor will become available. We need something that is very accurate, can handle heavy body armor and has a 20 round magazine capacity. A standard 7.62 mm round would be helpful. Also we would like a grenade launcher attachment.

Greetings Colonel, and thank you for your message. We at KRA would like to take this opportunity to alleviate the misconception that .280 British is an underpowered cartridge. Being in the semi-intermediate category the round is very popular with our customers in Shackley, proving itself to be a capable, affordable round for big-game hunting and military purposes. While lighter than more traditional rifle cartridges such as .308 Winchester (7.62x51) or .303 British, testing has shown the .280 is capable of achieving higher velocities and demonstrates a better overall ballistic coefficient. Never fear, our 7x43mm rifles are perfectly capable of penetrating ballistic armour rated up to Type IIIA protection within 1,500 yards.

Nevertheless I understand this is not of your concern. The modern battlefield is constantly adapting and for one to stay ahead of the curve one requires more than adequacy in their equipment. Your request is somewhat unexpected but certainly not beyond the skill of our gunsmiths and R&D teams. We will begin work immediately.

While we often use the AA-12 shotgun with Frag 12 ammunition, we are looking for a variant that has longer range and accuracy from range. This could include a designated marksmans rifle.

To Colonel Neem Ralk, OESW
News from our Research & Development labs regarding your battle rifle enquiry;

Our chaps have been working overnight to deliver some positive results for this project. First off I will highlight the requirements you gave us:

Able to reliably pierce Type III Body Armour
Demonstrates good accuracy at range
Has a 20-round magazine capacity
Chambered in a standardised 7.62mm cartridge
Able to support grenade-launcher attachments

Now, following extensive testing with existing rifles by our team we have narrowed down our choice of cartridges to those capable of meeting your requirements. The final contenders are .30-06 Springfield (7.62x63mm), 7.62x54R (7.62x54mm) and .338 Lapua Magnum (8.58x69mm).
We feel these cartridges represent the best chances of penetrating Type III body armour at likely engagement distances while still maintaining enough commonality of use worldwide to ensure sustainable logistics.
Currently we have one working prototype chambered in 7.62x54R which we have adapted to your specifications:
Image
This rifle makes use of existing SVD magazines, several of which we have purchased and modified to 20-round capacity. Standard SVD magazines are usually of 5- or 10-round capacity. The 7.62x54R cartridge is an old but trusted cartridge which has seen over 120 years in Russian service. This is a high-velocity rimmed cartridge, likely to put intense strain on the rifle and thus we have built the KRA-20 with a focus on durability. Reliability of operation is still a work-in-progress but rest assured we have our finest gunsmiths on the case.
The rifle features a select-fire automatic action, able to be used in both semi-automatic (Repetition) and fully-automatic (Auto) fire modes. Due to the recoil of this rather large cartridge we recommend avoiding firing the rifle in fully-automatic without the use of a sturdy bipod or similar bracing systems. A large muzzle-break is used to reduce this recoil to tolerable levels when firing in semi-automatic. We also took the liberty of adding a padded buttplate to the shoulderstock after some engineers complained of bruising after long test sessions. The rifle is gas-operated and therefore should be relatively simple to maintain by the average soldier.
Simple iron sights are fitted with a side-mounted leaf sight for the underbarrel grenade launcher. The launcher is of standard 40mm M203 configuration. A picatinny rail is fitted to the upper receiver if you wish to attach your own long-range sights when in use.
Accuracy testing has shown an average of 1.8 MoA over a variety of professional shooters at various ranges. Depending on ammunition it is able to penetrate most forms of Type III body armour (soft, steel, ceramic and composite) at ranges of up to a maximum of 1,000 yards.
Fully loaded the rifle weighs 4.5kgs or approximately 10lbs.

Let us know if this is to your satisfaction or if further development is necessary.

From: Neem Ralk, OESW

We are also interested in the .338 cartridge for this configuration with an extended barrel for a Designated Marksmans Rifle. We have been working on a B2 Alloy which was created in Koryo which combines aluminum nickel and steel. It is light and very strong. We can provide some to see if it meets the test requirements for a battle rifle. We also have polymers and carbon fiber which can be used in the stock to reduce the weight if necessary.

Many thanks Commander Talkinski, we are aware of your offer. Our small cargo fleet is currently in transit in the North Sea delivering the first two-dozen tanks fresh out of our workshops. The rest are still being worked on and will be delivered in due time.
Thanks again for your business.

News from our Research & Development labs regarding your battle rifle enquiry;

This rifle makes use of existing SVD magazines, several of which we have purchased and modified to 20-round capacity. Standard SVD magazines are usually of 5- or 10-round capacity. The 7.62x54R cartridge is an old but trusted cartridge which has seen over 120 years in Russian service. This is a high-velocity rimmed cartridge, likely to put intense strain on the rifle and thus we have built the KRA-20 with a focus on durability. We thank you for your quick response and information regarding this new material. While we at Kibbs Royal Armaments do our best to stay at the forefront of arms manufacturing and design, we are ashamed to admit that our tooling is not entirely up-to-scratch in all areas. We would be most grateful if you could provide a sample of this new alloy for our engineers and metallurgists to examine, however I'm afraid we may not have the equipment necessary for mass-producing such an advanced material. Our work is usually limited to more traditional carbon and chrome steels, alongside easy to work with polymers and timbers. High-end metals are not within our field of expertise.

Nevertheless we will endeavour to incorporate such an alloy into our designs if that is what you wish.

In the mean time we have further developed the KRA-20 platform to better accommodate your needs;
Image
The new rifle is chambered in .338 Lapua Magnum, a cartridge far more suited to long-range accuracy and stopping-power. New magazines have been developed entirely from scratch, able to house 20 of these hefty at any given time. The increase in cartridge size from 7.62x54R has meant that the rifle is necessarily heavier, but we are pleased to inform you that due to the increase in weight our testers report no significant increase in felt recoil. It is still perfectly possible to shoot accurately with sustained automatic fire, although again it is highly recommended to brace the weapon suitably before engaging in fully-automatic bursts. The muzzle-break has been shortened to reduce weight and improve the balance of the weapon, while a Designated Marksman's Rifle variant has been implemented. The DMR does away with the underbarrel grenade launcher and rear ironsight, instead opting for a magnified ACOG optic and extended 19" barrel. A bipod and adjustable cheek rest are also fitted to enable more comfortable shooting at extended distances.
The switch to .338 has meant a higher average quality of ammunition and thus allowed for better overall accuracy, with an average 1.5 MoA pattern observed with the standard battle rifle, and an average of 0.9 MoA demonstrated with the DMR. The X1 battle rifle weighs 4.6kg, while the DMR weighs only 4.4kg due to the deletion of the underbarrel launcher.

We wish to test this rifle with our unit that is trying out an unpowered exoskeleton. We believe although the weapon is heavy. it will be the perfect combination to test with KRA-X20-1. We would like to place an order of 500 of the KRA-20-X-1 and 500 of the KRA-20-X-1 Designated Marksman Rifles for the Ghost Brigades.

Regards,

Neem Ralk, OESW

The OESW is sending $3.5 Million Nationstates Dollars for the rifles. The extra bit is in case there are snags in production costs.

We will be more than happy to deliver your order, expect it to arrive in full within 2-3 working days of confirmation. Shackley Shillings are USD-equivalent though independent and managed wholly by the Royal Bank of Shackley to better control inflation in times of crisis. Your offer of 450,000 USD is acceptable, though we would prefer it in Shillings if possible for convenience's sake.

Our 25x40mm shells are based on the experimental ammunition developed for the United States' XM25 project, one our engineers have been following closely. Our KRA-25-X project has a more cost-effective focus in mind, and as such the airburst features of some XM25 variants are not available with our weapon.
As I'm sure you're aware the KRA-25-X is experimental and still undergoing development and as such we will not be held accountable for any problems experienced with this product. We thank you for your business.

We are pleased to announce your order has been accepted. If you have no further queries your order of 75 Champion Fire Support Vehicles should arrive within 30 working days at your specified locations.
If possible we would like to request the aid of your nation's naval forces in escorting our cargo ships to said locations as Shackley's Royal Navy is currently engaged in confrontations with Allanean forces.
In honesty I'm surprised free trade has been allowed to continue. We can only be grateful.
